🚄 INFORMATION KEY
Train Numbers - e.g. 43032 or 800110 - These are train numbers which are specific to that train. No trains can be numbered the same. Locos are 5 digit numbers where the first two numbers are the class of train e.g. 67010 would be a class 67. Multiple Units are 6 digit numbers where the first three numbers are the class of train e.g. 390154 would be a class 390. Click Here to learn more

Headcodes - e.g. 1F32 or 5M00 - These are used by the railway signallers to determine where trains are on the network. Every train within a region has a specific four code ID. Click Here to learn more

Set Number - e.g. WB64 or NL04 - These are semi-permanent loco hauled coach formations which are kept together for formalities. The first two letters usually indicate the maintenance depot responsible e.g. OC is Old Oak Common, LA is Laira. The number indicates the rake number.
🚄 ABOUT ME
Hello everyone, I’m StarlifeStudios and my passion is to experience and video railway stations across the United Kingdom at both small and large locations, but, with an informative twist! My videos are also designed as a historical reference for the days of the past and to reminisce about the way things were. Join me as I continue to travel and be sure to let me know if you’d like me to video at your favourite or local station.
Do you like the Class 323s? Thanks for Watching and Have an awesome New Year! 😃🎉
I sure do
I do!
Yes, from their wacky and wonderful motors
I do
I like the 323s
Longbridge railway station is a two-platform station, serving the Longbridge, Rednal, Rubery, and West Heath areas in the far south-west of Birmingham, England. It is on the Cross City Line. The station and all trains calling there are operated by West Midlands Trains.
Epic video starlife! Not long left for 323’s in the Midlands now, glad you managed to get some footage before they’re gone.
Nice video!
Some of the Class 323s are to be transferred to Northern in 2024 as of when the new West Midlands Railway Class 730/0 Aventras have entered service.
And the Class 730/2 to enter service some time this year that London Northwestern Railway have ordered to replace the Class 319 and Class 350/2.
1:35 I love how one train is departing and another one is coming the other way
Great video! Nice station, it sounds familiar for some reason, also, trains at speed uk 2023?
Thanks! The next Trains at Speed will be published in Summer 2024. 2023 was my break year 😃
Ok! @@StarlifeStudios
Say our final goodbyes to class 323 😭 class 323 is the first train I ever.been on 😭 goodbye class 323 😭😭😭
Great video to end 2023 on, Starlife! I absolutely love the sounds the Class 323's make - definitely my favourite sounds for units along-side the 465/9's. Really good views down the line both directions there even despite the overbridges looking south, and definitely a treat to see the same HST consist that would go to work the 'Pines Express' tour just under a month later. Happy new year!
Thanks a lot, South East Level Crossings & Trains! I'm on the same page as you there, 465/9s are incredible! Very easy to get caught out from the south as the line speed is quite fast with very little time. Dont worry about the Pines Express, just like you, I was out on that day too 😃
the 323 really be going EEEUUUEUUUEUEUEUOOOOOOAIIEEEEEEEAIIEEEEE
the 323s have such a cool and unique sound when accelerating, thank you as always for your nice videos :)
Glad you like them and thank you matzk0 for watching 😃
Class 323 might have a upgrade
I was looking for a station to batch film with Bromsgrove, this station is the solution, so thanks. Have a wonderful New Year and I hope you hit 20K.
Glad I could assist you Spectrum, I did investigate Bromsgrove but the platforms are only *just* long enough for a 6-car 323 which makes it a little less appealing to me. Barnt Green isnt *that* bad if you like running between platforms 😃 Have fun!
Are you gonna do a trains at speed 2023? Because I will watch it
The next Trains at Speed will be published in Summer 2024. 2023 was my break year 😃
👌ok
Welcome back to the West Midlands.
Brilliant stuff mate.
Thanks. I really enjoyed this one. People may think the 323s are common but, like the HSTs, I’m conscious that one day soon, they’ll be gone..
@@StarlifeStudios They're being replaced by 730's so they will be gone soon
I like the class 323s
Great video can you do Swansea soon?
Longbridge is part of the city of Birmingham. And yes I know you may point out that it's part of the ridiculously named west midlands, but first and foremost it's a suburb of my home city!
Epok video💯🔥🔥
One question form Germany: why do so many trains in the UK have a yellow front?
Since the 1950s, UK legislation has required all trains to have yellow fronts. However in 2016, Standard GM/RT2131 was updated to allow trains which have bright headlights to not have yellow fronts for the first time. All older trains were still required to follow the old rules. We now have several new trains which do not need them but the vast majority still require them. Hope this helps.
@@StarlifeStudios thanks!!!
Amazing video as always Ross! 👍
Thank you very much Sir! 😃
@@StarlifeStudios Anytime! Happy new year!

Edit: love the 323s in your video!
Chafford Hundred only has one platform and is a busy station on the c2c network
Happy new har and a fab video

Next week you try to come to Banbury please
I won't be able to next week but I plan to visit Banbury in the April/May area when sunset is later. The reason for this is the 68s, they only arrive here in peak hours. Thanks for your interest 😃
