@@karlabalmaceda8670 Well, some people just want to be solo fans and choose not to be as committed with other groups. They enjoy other groups but aren't as committed. Afterall, concert tickets are expensive and so are all the other merchandise albums. People that say they stan 8 different groups aren't exactly that committed to all 8 groups because it's simply not possible to go to concerts and buy merch from all those groups.

Mina's Gummy Smile Grammys are trash tbhhhhh... they only give awards to their darlings and those who are critically acclaimed🙄 that’s why some random ass people that no one has heard of get Grammys but not the hard working legends at the top of the charts. There is a video of Eminem talking about this.
Sales doesn't count in Grammy nomination. They value more the music production overall and lyrics. In my opinion, as a Taylor Swift fan, BTS songs usually are a lil bit too EDM/electronic for me and EDM music has generally never made a huge succes on the Grammys. (That's just my opinion)
I like Pizza most of their b-side songs are not edm or what you call electronic. And lyrics wise... the whole love yourself series.

BTS doesn't only have female fans buying their Albums and Merch, they have alot of Male Fans who buy their Albums. Especially because BTS is the most only Group that has Army's of different ages ,Gender and race all around the world .I'm 33 and i have seen Army's in their 60's there is no age limit when it comes to BTS that is one of the reasons they are the biggest group in the world. They are amazing talented Men so Humble, loving and caring. BTS and Army are Family 💜🙂

Too true. I just hit 40 and I’ve been following bts since 2015. I make it a point to go to concerts when I can. I’ve watched Bon Jovi , The Disturbed, Maroon5, Harry Styles, U2, etc. BTS is different; the energy, and sheer performance perfection they put on every show is fabulous. They are also thoughtful, socially conscious, kind and extremely hardworking young men. What’s not to admire?

For everyone who thinks BTS did nothing this year: prepare to have your minds blown. BTS DOES NOT REST.
They realeased a Korean EP + MV, a Japanese single + MV, a video game OST (4 tracks) + MV (that's three MVs right there), performed at 20 STADIUMS across 10 cities and 7 countries. V wrote and produced 2 songs and created a MV for one of them. Jin wrote and composed a song. Jimin wrote and produced a song. JHope collaborated with a US artist on a song which also had a MV. Suga wrote and produced a hit song w/ Heize and Giriboy, and featured in two other collabs, which he also helped write and produce (w/ Halsey + LeeSora). Jungkook released two covers and and a remix of his solo song.
BTS performed at SNL, GMA, BBMAs, Britain's Got Talent, The Voice, Music Day, Lotte Duty Free Family Concert, Seoul Music Awards, Gayo Dajeon, Golden Disk Awards, Late Night Show, AAA, MMA (30+ minute show!) and MAMA, and will be performing at JingleBall. They held 4 "Muster" concerts/fanmeets across Korea and a "Festa" concert/fanmeet. They did a "talkshow" video for Armypedia, a Q&A/discussion video for Festa, and a comeback video where they discussed the making of their album.
They did all of this while uploading 30+ vlives for their fans, recording 33 (!!!) episodes for their variety show (Run BTS), recording the 4th season of their reality show (Bon Voyage, 8 eps, ), recording DVD content for their 2019 Summer Package and Season's Greetings, recording content for their movie Bring the Soul, recording content for their tour DVDs, recording the the videos for the Serendipity Exhebition, recording the videos for their BT21 character storylines, etc.
And then there are the interviews--with PaperMag, BBMAs, Grammys, IHeartRadio, RollingStone, ETC. I can't even begin to remember them all.
And the dozens of photoshoots and commercials.
And let's not forget that they also engage with fans multiple times a day on Twitter or Weverse.
This is just the stuff I REMEMBER. There's a ton of stuff I've forgotten since the boys DO SO MUCH.

BTS is definitely the group that works the most. I have only heard that they had something like 2 months of rest last year they are always practicing,on tour and live-streams. It’s also very impressive that they are actually going slow if you go to see how much they worked in 2016-2017. They were constantly on tour,it was the year that they made most hits and were everywhere inTV news and on lots of Korean TV hosts.
The 2018 was also a big year but they expanded more in US and Europe (and Arabia) and did less hits (still extremely good). It was also the year of most BTS “scandals” (since they aren’t actually problematic) and different news and they did lots of Vlives when not on tour.
I have always felt like they never rest if not for their one month a while ago and their individual trips back in 2016 in Europe.

BTS sales are not due to "females collections" BTS has a huge chunk of ther fandom as males. And they have fans in every single age group. Most are in their mid 20s to 40s. Which is why they can make a car manufacturer back logged for 6 whole months lol because of BTS' endorsement.
BTS is the only group that performes high in every category. From views, sales(digital and physical), streams, merch, concerts, endorsments, etc. No area is lacking.

Actually as Once is more devoted in buying official physical albums cause that is the best way to support the artist , real income will come for Twice and its a best way to have a connection with them. because they work really hard for that album ( photoshoots, recording etc) and if you buy their physical album its like you were appreciating their effort . me as a once , im lazy in streaming but buying all of the albums ahhahhaha , but i do stream in the first 24 hours.

I was an EXO-L since 2013 and I always knew of BTS. At the time of EXO’s peek, there was literally no competition. But I kept seeing one group which gained more achievements every year slowly and kept climbing up the charts, but no one knew because the K-media did not care about unpopular groups so they did not talk about that group. Funny enough that group was the first group ever that wasn’t from the Big 3 companies which won a daesang for their album “Wings”. And in 2017 they finally beat EXO’s “The War” album sales with “Love yourself: Her”. Even though I was a bit upset, I was extremely happy for them. BTS deserve all their success because they worked so hard for it. There is no group like Bangtan.

People don’t know or forget that they were especially invited by the Recording Academy to come and eventually become members. However, the Recording Academy are not the ones who make the nominations. The members does and the members are notoriously brought by big label, have prejudice against POCs and/or elevated (sometimes mediocre) White talent either consciously or unconsciously. I personally am not surprised. This is the same folks who voted Adele over Beyoncé even though Beyoncé had the most critically acclaimed album that had more artistic merit (that it even won a Peabody) than Adele’s 25.

When you watch the live analytics their views jump by 10s of millions at a time while BTS has 10s of millions of views DELETED. Voting counts also proved BTS won all 3 PCAs but the fine print said the network, which is *partnered with BP's US label* (just like UA-cam is), could change the winner at their discretion, which is exactly what they did. There's no mathematical reason why bp would beat BTS in *anything* so the only explanation is yg buying their fake success. Pretending that's not the reality & asking for "proof" is like standing in a river demanding proof that water is wet. The proof is right in front of you, you just have to be willing to SEE IT.

They were true to themselves and didn't pretend to be someone they're not or someone society wants them to be. BTS is BTS because they chose to be true to themselves and their music. The fact that Spring Day never left the MelOn chart after its 2017 release until now is a substantial proof. I've never seen any other KPOP groups, aside from TXT, who's tackling about literary pieces (novels and art itself) and loving oneself. Surely there are girl groups from across the globe who did make music for loving oneself but I've never seen a KPOP boy group who ever did that aside from BTS. Also, BTS translates to Bulletproof Boyscouts, which they really stand up to their name up until now. They are tackling social issues, mental issues, and even political issies in their music, protecting ARMY and all other people from ruthless society's standards, expectations, and stereotypes. BTS also enhances the critical thinking of true ARMYs by making an alternate timeline, which is known as BANGTAN UNIVERSE, wherein they're portraying every single person in the world who's suffering. BU also tackles about depression, physical abuse, traumas and PTSD. BTS deserve to be recognized. And even if they're ranking will subside, you can't deny that they rewrote HISTORY. BTS isn't the most popular group right now for they deserve to be called WORLDWIDE LEGENDS (no kpop thing-y) because they are phenomenal.

Honestly I'm super proud of everyone on the list but im especially proud of Twice and ofc BTS, bts came from a really small company and they broke records the only one they didn't break was Psy, and im super proud of twice because they are maturing with concepts and are still quite young but they are the biggest girl group in the world im proud of them both and even BTS are not my ult group they are in the top 5 for my favorite groups with boys so i am super proud and Twice are my Ult for girl groups so i sm also really proud of them

This is what makes people hungry for them and as a result, their popularity skyrockets during their comeback. But if other huge groups such as Twice or Bts follow the same strategy, the entire world will be anticipating for them with a greater passion and curiosity than ever before. I can already sense the hunger for success that Armys are having for Bts's next comeback since they had just one this year. Let's not forget Exo too. So yeah, I guess this is how things go and I think that's what shows that BP's popularity isn't one of the kind or something extraordinary that can't be competed
