Hi, Mark.... The Century Series models, like this one, were absolutely the classics of their day, and could be found in fire stations all over the USA. What ended up happening to ALF as a company was a real shame. I've been a "fire truck guy" for most of my life, and I'm always on the lookout for them, especially the older classics....and the unusual rigs. Thanks for watching and commenting....
It's my opinion that the ALF Century series cabs were the best looking fire trucks ever! The Phoenix Fire Department had numerous of these in different models.
@chuckjacobs-arizona7698 Hi Chuck. I did several ride alongs with E18 B shift back in the early 80's. They had one of those ALF's then. Nice truck. Great crew!
I would respectfully argue that Ward LaFrance Ambassadors were far better looking rigs. I might be a bit biased as my dad worked at Ward. Sad that both companies are no longer around.
Love American LaFrance fire apparatus

Hi, Scott.... I agree. I rode on a few of them down there as a ride-along back in the day....
