- Coby Hilton is a #100meter #sprinting athlete in #trackandfield who is proven as one of the fastest 60 meter dash sprinters in the world. But he still has no pro sponsor and runs unattached.

Coby Hilton & his coach Caleb Cowling are doing great work. Caleb is a free thinker and it’s paying off!
Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it. Love your work as well.
@@SCATrackandFieldInteresting story. I think I can take him in the 60.😁🙏 Not
@@mikevaldez7684 🤣
Colby's dad ran a 10.5 in 1985 at a very small school in MN so there is some good genetics going on.
Always good to see coverage of the underdogs.. So many great people have life events that hold them back.
My son ran against Coby in University. Very impressive individual--glad to see he's still rocking it!! Go Coby!
Once again, thanks for shining light on the unknowns. For a guy like me, it's priceless.
My pleasure!

So I've been looking at the entrants for the USATF indoors this weekend, and there is a guy named Emmanuel Wells. I've really never heard of him. He has run a 6.48 which is blazing fast. That guy has a legit shot of being top 2. The guy that I think deserves a sponsorship is Trevor Bassitt. 2 4x4 golds. 2 World finals in the 400H and a 1 bronze medal. Hope he makes the team for Paris this year.
Bassitt is a blast to watch. I am pulling for him too.
Wells false started in that 6.48 race. You can see it if you watch at .25 speed. He is a legit 6.5 guy though.

he is 60m specialist. He needs to work on his 100m game thats the money race.
Hey Coach Rob!! Thanks for this expose! Noting like an underdog story!! May Coby get what he deserves! Recognition, Respect, and a Sponsor!! Thanks to you he is 2/3 there!!! Come on Nike!!! Just do It and support this guys dream!!! His road to the elite is an inspiration to everyone!!!!! and that is worth a lot.
I really appreciate that you advocate for the underdogs, Coach.
Thanks for the comment. I really appreciate it!
Kalen Walker is another one. 6.51.
And he is a junior ,his times are gonna be good outdoors
Rob did a video on him at the start of the season. He has an eye for talent!
@@quandt4847He really does. Most athletics channels just focussed on the superstars. Coach Rob has an eye for undeveloped & unappreciated talent.
He has an unusual style and form. But somehow it works for him.
I feel the same way about Trevor Bassitt, it’s a crime that no company has signed this man yet
white athletes are not a priority for sponsors
Great video, Coach! Thank you for shining a light on those who deserve more attention than they're receiving. Have you done a video on Aria Pierce? She's only 15, I believe, and she's beating a lot of college athletes in the 100 and 200. Check her out!
I enjoy your videos! What I would have given if you were around 50 years ago. It is time to see all these unnoticed athletes get their due and a break! Coach you truly number one on my list! Keep up the great work, because one day YOU will discover and get an athlete the break they deserve.
Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it!
Great video I didn’t know about him and damm talk about not giving up and a late bloomer
glad that u are giving facts as truth keep going dude i like your content
i heard about the white dude. he has a mean stop speed
Thanks for the video! Coby is a developing athlete, and there is no reason when he starts building strength and power that he doesn't continue improving. Good job!
Coby is coming to stay with me and my family at the end of April to train in Ireland for a few weeks before touring around Europe for some big meets. His coach Caleb is doing amazing work. A big 2024 ahead ☘️
Thanks for your comment and for sharing. Looking forward to all he will accomplish!
I dunno. He’s 25, hasn’t gone sub 10.1 nor 20 yet, and his form is a bit weird with this tight neck & upper body with tense look. I think with all the huge stars we have here, which are already stretching sponsorship dollars and not winning (hard to win when so many are so good), it is hard to market the guy. Add to it Matt Boling is here, and they’ve replaced his “look” already with someone faster. All they care about is marketability overall…I hope he gets the sponsorship he needs, because his times are strong enough to say a great coach could get him on the 4x400, at least. To be continued.
Facts
You are a guy with real sense and integrity
Wonder if he is clean.
Literally the poster child for self belief, dedication, and passion.
It’s high time Coby gets his. Dude’s been on a tear since last yr. Great one from Jack Rabbit nation (SDSU) - lesser known school and league; hence his limited publicity. But dude was always there at NCAAs regionals
I’d like to see him pull it off too!
His times at his age don’t suggest he deserves sponsorship
Coach Rob is awesome..... RESPECT!!!!!!
Great stories, love the underdogs you showcase, and your insights about about how track works.
Thanks for the comment. I really appreciate it!
He runs like Haaland.
All this really shows is how FEW actually TRAIN to run with dedication. Only womens obscure sports has an even more stark "out of nowhere"...
Coby has great sprinter potential, but I think he needs to learn to relax and run. He looks like he strains for speed. You,as a coach know what I'm talking about. His jaws look tight. When you watch some of the great sprinters, you see their jaws bouncing because they are relaxed while running at maximum speed.
How’s Coby Hilton, Mathew Boling, & Kalen Walker fair against each other?
All those who say Jesus is Lord will be saved
Why doesn't Coby compete for a foreign country that will pay him to train? Other Americans have done so.
World Indoor Champion in the 60 meters is the Italian Marcell Jacobs
Great story. Thanks for sharing. America loves the underdog!
He should apply for some european citizenship ....
What a great story. If nothing else, this guy will have his stories to tell about how he climbed close to the top of world, but hey, his sprinting story is not finished yet.
I'm faster than Usain bolt and nobody even knows who I am so he's lucky
If only he could compete in the 100 meter dash. Nobody watches the 60 meter dash.
Yeah thanks this is good so many new fast and track minded people hey I really batter than football and basketball too real body training
Great story. I didn’t realize that it was possible to improve that m😮ch in the sprints.
Never supposed to? Be this fast? What’s that? We could go on.
Great video He's worked hard and loves what he does.
He appears to be a determined doggie. SIC EM!
Im in this video 😂
Shoutout to you for the cameo!
Shout out to 🇯🇲 in the #2 spot.
He doesn't fit the narrative!
Good luck to Coby!
Looking at the builds on most of these guys, I wonder if having upper body muscles helps in swing your arms forward faster, and so making you propel forward better/seems to work for the stronger-looking guys.?
Keep bringing the fun and exciting content of your speciality! Very enjoyable!!😊
You would think that the Hilton Hotels would sponsor him. I think you should make a phone call to Paris Hilton for sponsorship.
seems like sub- 6.5 is the barrier for entry.
impressive progression, if he can keep it up he'll get some looks.
Bro has that juggernaut running form
Speaking of unsponsored and unknown athletes, how about doing a follow up video on Dylan Beard?
He slices meat and slings a mop working in the deli at a Walmart in Raleigh, NC...but he also just won the 60m hurdles at the Millrose Games.
You already know it’s on the way!
The 50m is the shortest event in track and field.
tell us about Coby's training.
Your enthusiasm is infectious. I'm going to cheering on a guy I would have never given a thought to. Coach Rob you must be a great coach. You go deep and wide with your analysis.
Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it! More than you know.
Excellent video and presentation. You gave Colby his due without hyping him up to be the next world champion.
Thank you for your comment as well as your perspective. I really appreciate it!
Minnesota Lowkey represented at the top
His paleness ...always an issue in the states ...
Killer lithp dude!
Great channel
What do you mean when you said "He turned Pro". If someone or Company is paying him to be a Professional runner, that is sponsorship! That makes a mockery of your title "This sprinter with no sponsor..."
From age 20 he, along with ALL other 20+ year olds, became an Open Grade runner. He's now approx age of 26 (25?) so has been an Open Grade runner for half a decade. 85-90% of Athletes competing in Track and Field at the Olympics are NOT on sponsorships. To actually compete at the Olympics their Countries may provide them with grants but not enough to call themselves "Professional".
You can also say that winning prize money in Meets organised by big Corporates might qualify them as Professionals. But only a small few get sportswear/shoes sponsorships. Even fewer get sponsorships from other Industries products eg Watches, Cars, Hair products, Perfumes etc. Normally you have to be Gold medalists or world record holders or whatever, to get those.
Getting a Contract with Adidas, Puma, Nike etc normally only pays for running gear/shoes and some travel expenses. Nowadays those Companies sponsor a whole Running Club in their name. Perhaps a small stipend. Get a Gold and things change! (I was with Puma!)
Great video coach!
Everyone likes an underdog story. Best of luck to him. I hope this has a story book ending.
Excellent presentation.
Thanks for watching!
What’s the world record for the mile at age 50?
The men’s over 50 Masters WR for the mile is 4:19.59. Belongs to a guy named Brad Barton.
@@grahamstrouse1165 that is insane. I don’t think I can beat it.
Too pale ...
Where does he rank national with times?
I keep hearing he never ran sub 10s. If thats the case then its gonna be hard. There are HS kids running low 10s
He ran girl times in highschool. He must train in Mexico now we're it it legal
Please
Who is he going Beat. You keep Proper these guys up that we never heard of. If they would that great they'd be running with a big boys.
Is it even worth being a sponsored athlete? It pays 15k a year, might as well work a normal job and be an athlete
Uh..no. Sponsored athletes don’t get paid much but elite athletics is a full-time job.
🤷♂️Hey might be those💉PED's💊🤔just saying is all, from mighty 🐀 mouse to speed racer;Hm🤔🤔🤔? Amen 🙏 !!!
Or maybe he didn’t have particularly good coaching/facility access when he was younger. Or he was a late bloomer. Smoothbrains who go around yelling “PEDs! PEDs PEDs” every time a guy or gal makes a leap without examining any evidence add nothing to the conversation.
Derp.
Wtf you mean he was never supposed to be this fast. What kind of bullcrap statement is that.
Going off his recruit ranking. If you. have bad numbers coming out of HS people aren't expecting anyone to make this kind of big jump
How don’t you understand🤦🏾♂️🤣

Matt Boiling 100m all day long. University of Georgia.
Honestly, I think Boling might have a brighter future has a multi-eventer.
He’s a superb long jumper, excellent speed in all three outdoor sprints & he fooled around with some other events in high school. He did high jump two or three times on a lark & was over 2 meters without any serious training. I don’t know if he has any experience with the throws & pole vault obviously requires a little training but he’s a pretty thicc boy-I reckon he’d be pretty good if he gave the throws a go.
@@grahamstrouse1165you people sound dumb on every post that keep saying that. Matt is not doing that multi event stuff. Y'all been saying that since he was going to college. He's a sprinter. Not doing all those other events. Be real.
No offense, but the guy that does the commentary here irritates the shit out of me the way he talks💪🏻
