So I've been looking at the entrants for the USATF indoors this weekend, and there is a guy named Emmanuel Wells. I've really never heard of him. He has run a 6.48 which is blazing fast. That guy has a legit shot of being top 2. The guy that I think deserves a sponsorship is Trevor Bassitt. 2 4x4 golds. 2 World finals in the 400H and a 1 bronze medal. Hope he makes the team for Paris this year.

I dunno. He’s 25, hasn’t gone sub 10.1 nor 20 yet, and his form is a bit weird with this tight neck & upper body with tense look. I think with all the huge stars we have here, which are already stretching sponsorship dollars and not winning (hard to win when so many are so good), it is hard to market the guy. Add to it Matt Boling is here, and they’ve replaced his “look” already with someone faster. All they care about is marketability overall…I hope he gets the sponsorship he needs, because his times are strong enough to say a great coach could get him on the 4x400, at least. To be continued.

What do you mean when you said "He turned Pro". If someone or Company is paying him to be a Professional runner, that is sponsorship! That makes a mockery of your title "This sprinter with no sponsor..."
From age 20 he, along with ALL other 20+ year olds, became an Open Grade runner. He's now approx age of 26 (25?) so has been an Open Grade runner for half a decade. 85-90% of Athletes competing in Track and Field at the Olympics are NOT on sponsorships. To actually compete at the Olympics their Countries may provide them with grants but not enough to call themselves "Professional".
You can also say that winning prize money in Meets organised by big Corporates might qualify them as Professionals. But only a small few get sportswear/shoes sponsorships. Even fewer get sponsorships from other Industries products eg Watches, Cars, Hair products, Perfumes etc. Normally you have to be Gold medalists or world record holders or whatever, to get those.
Getting a Contract with Adidas, Puma, Nike etc normally only pays for running gear/shoes and some travel expenses. Nowadays those Companies sponsor a whole Running Club in their name. Perhaps a small stipend. Get a Gold and things change! (I was with Puma!)

He’s a superb long jumper, excellent speed in all three outdoor sprints & he fooled around with some other events in high school. He did high jump two or three times on a lark & was over 2 meters without any serious training. I don’t know if he has any experience with the throws & pole vault obviously requires a little training but he’s a pretty thicc boy-I reckon he’d be pretty good if he gave the throws a go.
