This wasn't 1971. The Austin Allegro wasn't on sale until 1973 and the Mk 2 Capri 1974!

Yes, Martin, I spotted that right away. The Ford Capri was the MK2, I think.

Yes; looks like a Mark 2 Jag or Daimler, which only came out in 1973, at 5:13 as well. There's also a second generation Mercedes S-Class at 5:18 and I think they only came out in 1973 or 4.

This film was made in 1977 at the earliest - it was mid 1977 when the demolition of Snow Hill Station started,
    as seen in the film.

My God, where have all the years gone?! I remember knocking about ALL of these places when I was growing up - as if it was yesterday. Things were a lot simpler back then - these days, everybody wants to rule the world! That said I'm 63, still living in Brum and loving it! 👍🏾❤

Me and my mates used to go to Brum every Saturday afternoon in the 70s from Tipton, Reddington rare records was our main place and oasis, but i wouldn't go now if you paid me, 1 it is so expensive, and 2 it is spot the Brummie.

@@Elst07896yes I agree. It's a million times better now. Though the end of corporation street by the hospital looking over to the old fire station hasn't changed one bit. It still looks horrible and bleak. The only difference is you don't have the angry skanky men shouting down their mobile phones in the old footage

I don't think it's 1971 more like 1975,1978 .I noticed a ford capri mk 2 and ford cortina mk 2 which came out about 1976,77. Other vehicles are in the film many of which came out in the mid 1970s.

It's a horrible regime in my opinion, but you can't blame Islam for what has happened to our country. You cant blame the fox, blame the government for opening the gate and letting it in.

Whoever filmed this needs to learn how to hold a camera steady or better still put the camera on a tripod. The quality is so poor it's impossible to read the many signs the camera lingers on.
