Birmingham has changed , some for the good and some for the bad. We need more Union Jacks not to represent the past but Today ! Our only Home!

Those wonderful day's well before the drunken drugged up aggressive loud month's of this modern age appeared in number!! People knew how to conduct themselves and enjoy themselves without the need to show off etc.

Very annoying and huge watermark throughout? Really necessary. You think someone`s going to copy this and make money?

It was brilliant. Best place to do it was outside the pub, always got loads of money from merry drinkers. Then came the tidal wave of Trick or Treat from Hollywood and it quickly died out, like so many English traditions. Shame, because for all the light hearted fun it taught children a valuable lesson; that Royalty and government are there on sufferance. Guy Fawkes; 'The last man to enter parliament with honest intentions.'

The once a month Wednesday open day from my very hazy memory. Used to go there from Bristol in the early 60’s on a regular basis. Can remember queuing outside with hundreds of other spotters and when the gates open hurrying through the tunnel under the mainlines into the works. Happy days.

It would be great to have a proper film of the construction - including the realignment of the railway

Having worked on this ship, and its sister, for several years, I am so pleased that these are still very much in service with Moby! The TB is a fantastic and incredibly fast ship!

A fascinating but strange mix of shots/locations. Classic 1950s Wallace Arnold coaches which were to be seen all over the UK and Western Europe at that time. Good to see "The Hop Grove" again after all these years, which was a regular, and very busy, stopover for coaches en-route from Leeds to Scarborough, Filey or Bridlington.

I've just finished a short account by Alan Villiers, who shot the film with Ronald Walker (who perished en route), of the journey. This resultant film makes it far more intelligible to a non-sailor like myself. Villiers had great difficulty getting the negatives into print and then into a film. His comments about the movie industry at the time make the saga well worth reading. ❤Thank you for publishing the film.❤ The story appears as 'The Windjammer film' in an Odhams compilation of adventure stories 'Fifty Amazing Hairbreadth Stories' (c.1933).
