- Not every NPC are the same. In fact - some of them roamed Runescape before they even entered as NPCs!
Due to the legacy of some players being noted above all others, their names and style will be recognised in the game for everyone to see. Here are 10 of these players!

its a straight lie there was already data in the game for the statue before the old nite passed away
It's crazy to me that in 2003 I had a couple of conersations with The Old Nite. He was #1 for a while too. I cried a little when I realized that statue was of him. I asked him for advice on leveling and I remember him saying this: "Fight monsters that are half your combat level, that way you can still get decent xp, but wont' really need food". And I did what he said for years.
They should have added a statue next to The old Nite of Fat Wrecked.

Honestly, having a statue somewhere else of Fat Wrecked would be better imo. Maybe somewhere near the old nite's statue, but not right next to it.

I believe you missed 'BigRedJapan' who is around every rooftop agility course in Oldschool Runescape immortalized for designing the idea of rooftop agility. :)

Socomhunter ikr.. i bet the fucks were just jealous that someone else got something nice and they didn't. Pretty dumb that jagex actually listened to them and removed it.
That seemed strange to me. It's not like the duck is offering any advantage to the player, it's not something like a super-special cosmetic, one would need to know the streamer to even get the reference, and it's very easy to never see? Seems like a bit of a silly thing to be pushed over the edge by, even if it was following built-up tensions.
Of corse rs3 players are dumb enough to play a game where they have no say in the updates and put up with purchasing buffs in the game. *sighhhhh*

and with bonds being in osrs i can go to work for a week and buy 99 prayer and herblore, sooo isn't that p2w?
i mean i like both games but osrs is slowly developing its own problems
John Bracewell you can get any skill in rs3 relatively very quick I mean look at the guy who spent 13k and maxed without doing a single thing

One of the werewolves in Canafis is called ‘Jeroen’, which is the real Life name of the creator of the Slayer toolbelt, the npc is named after him

The statue was not named after the old nite. regardless of what some mod might've said, it was proven several times that the statue was there months before old nite's passing.

RSN: Comedian is a scammer, he tried to pull the anti scammer technique on me with another account on mazcab (because someone with three phats needs more money apparently). Good luck and don't trust something that's too good to be true. If you read this Will it would be great to tell a mod to look into it, I reported him but this stuff seems to go nowhere without special attention. Love the vids by the way :)

What the fuck the community got angry because they added a duck that references a streamer?
How can a nice gesture cause so much uproar, unless that streamer was toxic or a bad influence on the community I cant think of a reason to take away a small reference.
OSRS community hates female streamers cause of emily
D U ok so if I recall correctly emily is the one that faked an illness or something.
I get how you can hate someone like that but that doesnt transfer over to other streamers, if the community just hates female streamers thats just sexism. I mean id get it if it was an issue with multiple streamers or multiple people added onto the game this way but this was the one case where it happened, so I dont just want to point fingers at sexism because you can dislike a female streamer without the reason being that she is female, but the situation here seems to be that a small group of assholes got together to screw up something small
I mean that was only 1 issue with her, there is also the controversy of Jmods favoring her and banning people for attacking her in the wildy or 'crashing' her. So largely the community hates them cause of Jmods favoring them. Still isnt' 'right' per se, but its kind of understandable why they get their panties in a bunch when they see something that might be favoritism towards a random female streamer no one knew about. Especially since this was during the long stretch of time when they were trying to get a tribute to Woox.
D U well I guess that depends on what the laid out rules are, is stream sniping bannable? If so its okay to ban those people, if that wasnt clear then warning is as much as should be done.
Also jmods are people they are allowed to have favorite streamers they want to add a little easter egg for them, as long as it is something small, a statue for example would have been too much for little reason, but a duck is fine. And most importantly nothing that affects gameplay or the g.e
Having a little duck doesnt affect the progress of someone else's tribute especially since the duck model had already been made for something else and the reference wasnt an in your face kind of deal.
Im not trying to whiteknight here I dont even know the streamer but people can be assholes when they are jealous
Stream sniping isn't against the rules and even if it was it shouldn't be because stream sniping is literally impossible to prove, remember when PubG tried to do it? Didn't work out well for em.
Sure jmods can have favorites, and the community by that logic can also have people they are against. In this scenario they were against the streamer.
The duck didn't impede the progress of a tribute because Woox's tribute has been asked for over the course of many many years, meaning they aren't doing it for some reason it isn't getting in the way it is Jagex showing 'we'll tribute this random streamer no one knows about but not one of the biggest RS icons to ever exist'.
People definitely can be assholes, but Jagex isn't exactly in a situation to upset their community considering they've proven time and again they aren't capable of doing anything besides running RS on life support since the Gower's left. Meaning if RS were to see a decline Jagex itself probably dies.

i may be 3 years late but honestly what kinda losers really care about a duck in falador... so much that they cry about it on reddit and i hate to break it to them but streamers 100% should get more recognition then rando players. streamers are one of the biggest reasons osrs is even alive (idk anything about rs3) streamers are the only people that really bring in new players cause lets be real when was the last time anyone saw an add for osrs or rs3 even when mobile came out? streamers get treated better then normal players cause they absolutely should be they do far more for the game then i ever did or honestly even people like zezima did. zez just kinda played and got high ranked which is great if you played in 2005 he was prolly ur hero. but for those of us who started playing way later kinda dont care about him tbh i think hes cool but the people that brough me into osrs was c engineer framed and mudkip. this is why they get treated better
TL:DR streamers get better treatment cause they deserve it more then randomcgoo the 3rd
