I usually try to find some cons to go along with the pros.. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxnkYCgssg4ZO858cyBdD1JPEaUJ9Up1C_ but it really is a good knife. The blade sits centered in the handle when closed (photo added). It opens effortlessly. Unlocks and closes easily with one hand. It’s a great size for EDC. I wish this exact knife came in one of the premium steels to satisfy the knife snob in me.. but it’s a great tool at a great price as it is. Would buy again.

A lot of smack talk here. These are great knives. Because he has few subscribers (which eludes me) people wade in like he's a new knife maker. Clearly not the case. Nice blades @Juraj Bielik never mind the neigh sayers.

I know this video is old but thats pretty good how you do the bevel by hand .. but would some kind of home made jig along with a backstop to keep the belt from flexing be helpful for that ? I just dont see how you can get both sides even like that by hand .. pretty impressive 👍

Great work man! I’ve used zebra wood on one of my knives but what was the wood you used on that blade? It looked better than zebra wood! Beautiful work! I’ve made 13 blades now and love my new hobby

Great video mate! Does elmax achieve desired hardness with oil quenching? Never used elmax due to lack of air quenching tools. Now i want to try

I like the look of your knife, however I prefer a high carbon blade. I like the high carbon blade because if I have too I can pick up a piece of flint and strike a spark.

It is necessary and chemistry. I am not an expert but this is what I understand.
When heat treating stainless steel (Basically any steel with over 12.5% free Chromium) there is a problem that occurs when heating the stainless steel to critical temp in an oxygen rich environment. As the steel heats up the oxygen can extract the carbon from the steel (often called decarbonize). In an industrial setting there is a device called a vacuum kiln that can prevent stainless steel decarbonization, when it comes to small the small scale there are two primary ways to prevent decarbonization.
1 - wrap the piece in high temp steel foil (aluminum would melt)
2 - salt bath quench (this is where the piece is brought to temp in a bath of molten salt, this also prevents oxygen from reaching the piece)
