one idea that comes to mind is some wielders using the glass blade as a trickster weapon, blowing a bubble of thin glass shards which look harmless but can cut an artery, doing fakeouts by bending the blade mid strike, melting down other users weapons with the touch to throw off their heat. It definitely has potential to be kinda devious, maybe a fourth style emerged from people outside of the culture surrounding Glasswielding.

I'd be really interested to see a bit more variation in the glassblowing "forms". You introduced them really well in the video, but I think it would also be cool if the time and effort put into the glass weapon impacted it's strength or effectiveness. Maybe the glassblowers had to maintain a sort of "balance" between how frequently they re-made their weapons (therefore making it stronger) and the quality of the weapons (whether they can use them to actually do damage to their opponent). Additionally, this also makes size a factor. If you want to create something really big, you need a lot of time, and this could play into a "team build" where one strong glassblower takes time to forge a powerful weapon (maybe for teammates too) while the others are protecting him with small, frequently remolded weapons. This could both enhance your current styles of glassblowing (Which, by the way, I thought were REALLY cool), and also maybe spark some more creativity in that brilliant mind of yours c: Also, how would glassblowers get access to glass during a battle? If they were suddenly ambushed, would they have a weapon on hand, or a ball of glass that they had to quickly re-mold, or would they store molten glass somewhere in a hot container? Is it possible for these glassblowers to "steal" glass from their opponents to use in their own weapons? So many questions that this magic system has sparked, and I'm excited to buy the book as soon as it comes out.
I think an intresting consequence of how you have defined this system, is that easiest way for someone with the Touch to use thier power in combat is just to fight hand to hand with blisteringly hot fists, which while effective against most people wouldn't be much better then a normal fist fight against another person with the Touch. This implies to me that Glass-Wielding might have been developed by Touch havers to fight other Touch havers. Which give an intresting way for the culture around the art to develop. One example is that somone who causes direct burns with thier Touch could be seen as unrefined and barbaric or inversly some might place a taboo on drawing a glass blade on anyone who's not a glass wielder.
Facts. Too many people go with some form of chi or chi-derivative for eastern inspired fantasy. Glass molding magic fits martial arts like a glove so well that it's astonishing that I haven't heard of a similar thing before.
An interesting Idea would be the amount of heat each glasswielder can put out; this could effect the martial arts-form they use (example: people who can put out more heat use the slither-form) and it could also be an indicator on how proficiet a glasswielder is (form differ in expression and difficulty)
@@hadrianpollard I think hand-to-hand might get really brutal, as you could just burn people. I can also imagine melting glass mid combat to burn the opponent
This magic system i really cool, well balanced and has room for growth. To touch on the styles in the video you mainly focused on the uses of the glass in blade format, which gives room for loads of varents from a long tachi to short stilleto, curved blades and ripply ones. I heard someone in the comments mention a trickster class, expanding on that idea the weielder could also carry smaller orbs of glass that could be molded into shurikens or making quick barriers, obviously they would relaivetly small in a fight but wit prep time comes more versatility like setting traps.

What would a glass wielding discipline look like if they focused on stillness and meditation rather than the fluidity and motion the other styles exemplify? Would their skill be entirely defensive? Or would they be able to achieve a transcendant clarity, knowing exactly where and when to strike an opponent in a single decisive moment, able to see through their opponents intentions?

Would a Glass-Wielder ever reform their weapon mid fight? I imagine that Michelle Yeoh fight in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon you showed but instead of weapons breaking, both constantly reform their weapon to gain an advantage. And the fight ends with the room starting to frost over from the combatants absorbing so much of the ambient heat to reform the siraglass
A simple spear with a shifting blade profile could easily make defenders trouble constantly altering the spacing of your blocks in order to avoid a nick or extra blade from making contact. World Trigger had a spear wielder that altered both the length of the shaft and the shape of the blade.
Honestly ‘The Touch’ itself is an interesting basis for things, because it can absorb heat. Ok my questions for you, based on ones I asked myself about my own magic systems. What happens if your mould is interrupted by someone else with the touch by absorbing the heat that allows your glass wielding and then moulds their own blade? What moulds are faster to make, such as can you make a shield faster to defend from an attack faster than a senja can be made to attack because it’s a simpler shape? Is manipulating preexisting glass faster than moulding new ones, such as moulding said shield into a senja to strike quickly? Can someone only half mould a senja to make a sort of liquid blade and then mould it completely as it strikes an opponent or their weapons, causing it to either disarm them or stay on them? Do weapons become harder to make or stronger the more complicated they are? Can globs of glass be thrown to make a sort of projectile style? Are people with the touch coveted by royal families, like wanting them to marry in? How far can the touch go with absorbing heat? Are glass weapons made with higher heat strong, such as would a senja made with a bonfire be as strong as one made withe the heat from a volcano? I like the magic systems you make and just wanted to ask you a few questions about this one since I only just noticed you released this.
These are such good questions -- Your intuition is great. Senja can be part molded (like in the slitherform) and definitely can be made into different, faster shapes than others. Properties of the glass will determine the hardness or other traits. Projectles will definitely be in there. In ancient history, glass-wielders were more like royalty, but were almost all but exterminated before book 1 of this series. Volcanic glass will be in there!
I don’t know if this idea will ever be seen, but I think there should be heat drain for the Touch. The user can choose to get heat internally or externally. If internally, the user would drain their energy, causing them to get tired quickly, in exchange for quick heating. While externally depends on the environment on how quickly they can drain. In a blazing desert, it’s almost instant, but in a freezing mountain, it would be impossible.
I like this idea, but like all martial arts, a person's physical limitations limit the way they fight and their results in combat. So an idea I have is that when the martial master reaches his limit in using glass in combat, his body/cells will begin a transformation that will allow them to merge with the glass, gaining its qualities and overcoming its physical limitations, but because of the glass They will have to maintain a high temperature to have their flexibility and resistance at their maximum. When 100% of the body becomes flesh and glass, the master will be able to follow two paths in his physical and martial development. [Density Path]: It will have the same standard height and the more glass condensed in the body, the better its physical qualities and weight will be, but in return, the more heat it will need to support and maintain it as a whole. [Quantity path]: It will get bigger and the more glass there is in the body, the greater its physical qualities, size and weight will be, but on the other hand, the larger the surface that the heat produced will have to support to maintain it as a whole. [Quality Path]: It will have the same standard height and the more glass is replaced with others of better resistance, the better its physical qualities will be, but in return you will have to find different types of glass and support them in different ways. That's my idea, I'm not a scientist or anything, so send suggestions to improve it and make it more realistic but also magical. I got the inspiration after discovering that there are animals with cells that fuse a specific material to obtain its qualities/properties.
this series and the videos on this channel channels honestly got me wanting to revisit some old concepts of mine. regarding the glass magic what are the possibilities of exploring the transparency of glass itself? one of the biggest impact that glass has brought into our history is that we can see through it. and due to that alchemy developed fast and developed into chemistry. while not literally like that i imagine you could explore such a concept in thematics. like having these glass powers could in a way allow one to see deeper into oneself. also any potential addition of flux into the setting? maybe its something these folks can use to make melting and reshaping their glass even faster but its a limited resource. flux in glass blowing and metalworking is any substance that is added into the melting process that reduces melting point of the material allowing one to more quickly work on the piece. rather funny coincidence is that a while back i was reading one of bruce lee's quotes "water flows water crash put it in a bottle it becomes the bottle, put it in a tea pot it becomes the teapot, be water my friend" took it and went with "be iron, ya need to work hard to melt yourself down first" sorta like glass. changing is easier said than done after all. it needs alot of work to achieve. also the urge to make a martial arts centered power system within ones setting is relatable lol. in my own world its systems are more centered around items, gear, and magical technologies and artifacts. to allow martial arts to compete i added in mnemic weapons, weapons which can remember and project memories into reality, even memories that are flawed and mixed up lets people project slashes further than it actually is, amplify bashes with clubs, set up quick draw mine fields from memories of drawing the weapon from a relaxed position. even mix memories like if one fought near fire they could potentially project flame slashes. etc. the weapons could even develop an ego from all the memories it builds up.
Memory weapons? That's freaking cool. And thanks for the support! I'm totally on the same page with you when it comes to blending thematic elements in story with the qualities of glass and other materials
Maybe a glass wielder could quicken the degrading of an opponent's weapon. Maybe the glass cools at different rates as your making it so one part of it is weaker than another. Volcanos and hot-springs could become highly contested natural resources. Maybe there are different qualities of glass and different glass recipes. Smaller weapons seem easier to make compared to larger weapons, but an army with spears probably beats an army with daggers.
OH yes. Per, the different qualities/recipes -- I've been studying chemistry to assign different properties for adding different materials to glass -- cobalt, selenium, etc. Will change both color and quality of the weapon
The whip style of slither form made mw think of Prince Rupert's Drop immediately. I think there also ought to be a form based off of throwing grenades of glass that explode on conact (also like Prince Ruperts drop) Those who learn how to cool the glass at different rates could totally forge unbreakable armor, save for one weak point that a clever heeo cluld exploit
The first thought that comes to mind would be a type of glass user who molds other weapons weapons mid-fight. Conducting heat through blocks and strikes into the openents weapon. Maybe even merging the two blades into a more abstract shape like a klingon blade and each user struggles to redirect the most sharpened or hottest part of the shape before the other user can mold that shape in defense? Like instead of it just being two blades it would be a constant power struggle to manipulate this liquid that is both blade and whip and bluggioning instrument. Something like water bending where it's the quickness of the users deciding the form of one shared blob of glass. This is of course more like a telekinetic manipulation of the glass rather then just using touch to disperse heat but maybe this is a feature available to the most skilled glass users, to extend a path of heat outside their body to make the glass follow.
Also, maybe users need to carry a natural heat source like a lighter or a torch or a stone that they draw heat from other then their own body as the more heat they put out the more their body heat drops resulting in a kind of hypothermia Maybe we see a battle where the main character has to keep a fire going while the battle rages on because their internal body temperature is so low that they could go into shock at any moment Or glass users could extend this heat into other things besides glass like to start a campfire for cooking or to boil water to purify a wound.
Hey all, Thank you for the fantastic comments as always -- I'm in agreement about the AI images. Poor decision to fill the space -- I highly value real artistry but have limited images. Next time, I'll just keep it to the talking head. I went ahead and made another video, unlisted, with the AI removed, mostly for my own conscience ha. You can see it here - ua-cam.com/video/v63r9uPEIWI/v-deo.html
With this you could make a little 'Glass Cannon' joke in the story XD maybe firing shards, spikes or even molten glass. I don't think it will be usable other than for a specific situation, though.
If i could give any realistic thoughtful insight into this beautiful idea, i'd consider not just having every style based off snakes as cool as the idea is. There is other animals/insects that could fit the theme well, it'd also open up the comparison to martial arts further as many martial arts have an animal inspiration to them. I'd also consider what the effect of having someone else who'm has the touch tries to manipulates another's Glassblades? can they infuse there glassblades with other elements? Such as how some glassblowers use varies colors, objects, other glass to strengthen, add effects or color to there art? All interesting thing's i'd consider as they all could be fun things to twist and change the style.
I've built two power/magic systems but I'll just go over one of them here. 100 years ago a chaotic storm swept through the entire world and left everyone and everything forever changed. Over 40 percent of the human population developed super natural abilities and over the years that number has grown to just over 60 percent. Originally these abilities were strong but nothing too powerful but it wasn't until there began being entire generations of people who had their powers since birth that mankind started to see what these powers could really do. These abilities and the people who wield them are called Kinetics. There are 3 different types of Kinetic abilities: Bio Kinetics, Ergo Kinetics, and Spatial Kinetics. Bio Kinetics specialize in the manipulation of life which includes enhancing their bodies 5 senses, enhancing your physical strength, speed, and durability, healing, and telepathic communication with animals and humans. Ergo Kinetics specialize in the manipulation of energy. This includes but is not limited to the manipulation of fire, lightning, water, ice, gravity, etc. Spatial Kinetics are the rarest and the most powerful of all Kinetics users. They specialize in the manipulation of space and time including telekinesis, teleportation, and creating pocket dimensions.
glass is far sharper once its shattered. You can easily play with techniques that involve breaking the glass, like heating the inside of a glass ball to make a pseudo bomb, or deliberately making highly brittle weapons so that should your opponent parry it your weapon would shatter and send shards of glass into them.
Ngl, you should make a fighting style kind of like hakuda, from bleach, based on glass wielding, in the sense that, like the hakuda users, they don't rely on their blades, rather hand to hand combat, focusing on taking the opponent down before they can mold. Utilizing the heat they are able to manifest to their hands.
This is such a cool an original idea! Out of curiosity which martial art(s) have you trained, and do you have a favourite? Do you prefer the martial part of martial arts (sparring/competition), or the artistic parts (forms/kata etc) more, or both?
Thank you! Growing up, I trained in a version of tang su do, but later dabbled in muy thai, grappling, tae kwon do, and a few stints in Chinese martial arts which was a blast but had a huge learning curve
Well, I'll just type it again. Let it be for the algorithm As a med student I love when fantasy meets science, so I was really excited when you said the touch is genetic, it gives you a lot to play with. Is it dominant or recessive? Is it one single gene or a family? Is there such a thing as a weaker or stronger gene? Sometimes there are different genes that code the same character, so can there be families where it's a dominant gene other where it's recessive or hiper-recessive? There are genes that do multiple things, I think there is one that makes you more succeptable to cancer I think but less succeptable to something esle, I forgot tbh. Could there be a downside to glassweilding? Like the more you use it the more it kills you kind of way. And these are just a few ways you can play with it.
Quite rare! You need a glass-wielder to forge it in the first place, and they're almost extinct. A few are in slavery forging glass for the Magnate of the Spiny Isles.
Technically and logistally this is great my only criticism is how thematically is this magic system I see your heavy on the physical and material stuff but what morales, cultural implications does this magic system.. oh wait you slightly touched on it in the last part
I wonder if there could be a character who uses a siraglass weapon that wasn't bladed but rather blunt, since they probably don't like to kill since they see all life as sacred and does not believe themselves to be the judge of others and deciding who's life to take.
Such a cool idea. Subscribed to year more :) I wonder though if the style of movements affects to the type of weapon being created? For example for someone who's martial arts consists of lots of linear back and forth movements - will that increase the chance of straighter objects being cast? ie rapiers, longswords, spears being created. Contrast that to someone who is doing lots of circular kicks and rotations being more likely to create sabres, katanas etc
3:21 - This video is really interesting and I love to have a peek at the creative process, I'm not too fond of the use of AI though....especially coming from a creative person.
Shocked theres no constriction form based around grappling like judo and jiujitsu. Ideal for bladeless combat incase youre caught unarmed. Masters might bind opponents with glass cuffs and lariats. Or if you wanna be spectacular molten bolas. These may be easy to escape for full glasswielders but it would force them to divert their attention for those precious few moments.
Imagine how terrifying to have a molten hand, pinning you and then coming for your face. There's actually lots of this, more a glass-wielding creature called a glasswight than an independent martial arts style.
An entire video and you pay attention to that, the reason he used ai was not because he can't draw but because he has limited drawn images and limited time that he can't produce that much in such little time,so he used this as a demonstration, also he made a version without the ai
Hey. If the wielders use the heat absorbed from their environment to melt glass, would placing them in a cold environment make them less skillful in their melting process?
Could a glass wielder melt their opponents weapon into unusable goo mid fight? If forming is so fast it can be done mid fight, couldn't a glass wielder pump enough energy into their hands to completely liquify the incoming weapon, like a candy cane swiping at a volcano? Obviously the heat wouldn't harm the opposing person if they have the touch, but it would mean that it would become a purely physical contest. I could see a style dedicated to unarmed grappling with this strategy in mind.
This is super awesome; it's always really interestingto see very different artforms combined into one in fantasy. Using AI to portray it at 3:15 is lame though, coming from a fellow writer and an artist it just sucks to see AI being used in tandem with something so cool.
You jump to conclusions too quickly,he stated in this comment section 6 hours ago,he's an artist himself but has limited images and time and can't produce that much in such time, plus it was used as demonstration ,he made a version without the ai.
That's a really cool idea, but I don't see why they'd be any better than a sword made of steel Why waste precious time mid-combat to reforge your weapon, when a steel one will be just as strong, and hardly any duller than it was when you started.
It's not ruined it's just a flaw, he's an artist that can draw but he has limited time and limited drawn images that he can't produce in little time, that's why he used ai,he also made a version without the ai
Yes and? Look I don’t like ai art too it needs regulation, but it’s not the main focus of the video and is used for demonstration only, it was used as a tool like it was meant to be.
you really could make a magic system out of anything. Rizztraining. The more girls you have rizzed up and stay in your roster, the stronger you are. Their attraction acts as a source of energy that fills you up. This is totally not sexist becuase it works for girls aswell. sementing. The ability to wield and control semen into a weapon. Just like the philosopher's stone exists, the Rebirth egg exists. If you find one, you can channel your semen into it and be reborn as an omnipotent being. Women can wield semen too with mechanical balls. Page wielding. Humans lose the ability to read and write but in exchange they can wield the power of pages. Everything written in the books of the past can be made into reality. Mayomancing. The ability to wield mayonnaise. eggsplosion, soursplash, whitening, and more. Every property of mayonnaise can be wielded by man. Somehow man has evolved to fuse with mayonaise and gained special abilities. however the formula for mayonnaise is missing and only a true master of Mayomancing can discover it. Meet John, he is the main character and he is gonna be the first to master mayomancing and bring back the formula. Damn man. I really could keep going. Thanks for the inspiration.

These are such good questions --
Your intuition is great.
[Density Path]:
It will have the same standard height and the more glass condensed in the body, the better its physical qualities and weight will be, but in return, the more heat it will need to support and maintain it as a whole.
[Quantity path]:
It will get bigger and the more glass there is in the body, the greater its physical qualities, size and weight will be, but on the other hand, the larger the surface that the heat produced will have to support to maintain it as a whole.
[Quality Path]:
It will have the same standard height and the more glass is replaced with others of better resistance, the better its physical qualities will be, but in return you will have to find different types of glass and support them in different ways.
That's my idea, I'm not a scientist or anything, so send suggestions to improve it and make it more realistic but also magical.
I got the inspiration after discovering that there are animals with cells that fuse a specific material to obtain its qualities/properties.
this series and the videos on this channel channels honestly got me wanting to revisit some old concepts of mine.
regarding the glass magic
what are the possibilities of exploring the transparency of glass itself? one of the biggest impact that glass has brought into our history is that we can see through it. and due to that alchemy developed fast and developed into chemistry.
while not literally like that i imagine you could explore such a concept in thematics. like having these glass powers could in a way allow one to see deeper into oneself.
also any potential addition of flux into the setting? maybe its something these folks can use to make melting and reshaping their glass even faster but its a limited resource.
flux in glass blowing and metalworking is any substance that is added into the melting process that reduces melting point of the material allowing one to more quickly work on the piece.
rather funny coincidence is that a while back i was reading one of bruce lee's quotes
"water flows water crash put it in a bottle it becomes the bottle, put it in a tea pot it becomes the teapot, be water my friend"
took it and went with "be iron, ya need to work hard to melt yourself down first" sorta like glass.
changing is easier said than done after all. it needs alot of work to achieve.
also the urge to make a martial arts centered power system within ones setting is relatable lol.
in my own world its systems are more centered around items, gear, and magical technologies and artifacts.
to allow martial arts to compete i added in mnemic weapons, weapons which can remember and project memories into reality, even memories that are flawed and mixed up
lets people project slashes further than it actually is, amplify bashes with clubs, set up quick draw mine fields from memories of drawing the weapon from a relaxed position.
even mix memories like if one fought near fire they could potentially project flame slashes. etc.
the weapons could even develop an ego from all the memories it builds up.
Memory weapons? That's freaking cool.
And thanks for the support! I'm totally on the same page with you when it comes to blending thematic elements in story with the qualities of glass and other materials
Sirawort is the flux needed for glass -- an important resource in this world!
Love this. Very cool idea dude.
It'd be wicked cool for this to get made, even more so if an audiobook ever gets released to.
Thank you! I'll let you know when it's out!
The whip style of slither form made mw think of Prince Rupert's Drop immediately. I think there also ought to be a form based off of throwing grenades of glass that explode on conact (also like Prince Ruperts drop)
Those who learn how to cool the glass at different rates could totally forge unbreakable armor, save for one weak point that a clever heeo cluld exploit
That's awesome, thanks for the ideas!
Also, maybe users need to carry a natural heat source like a lighter or a torch or a stone that they draw heat from other then their own body as the more heat they put out the more their body heat drops resulting in a kind of hypothermia
Maybe we see a battle where the main character has to keep a fire going while the battle rages on because their internal body temperature is so low that they could go into shock at any moment
Or glass users could extend this heat into other things besides glass like to start a campfire for cooking or to boil water to purify a wound.
Lots of great nuggets to make food for thought! Thank you! The expenditure of body heat reminds me of Kingkiller Chronicle.
It's so weird I could have sworn I liked the video and left an extensive comment about how you could play with the genetic aspect of glass-weilding
basically glass bending, sounds pretty cool
Glass bending with rules
Hey all,
Thank you for the fantastic comments as always --
I'm in agreement about the AI images.
I'll make it work
@@hadrianpollard +100 for Dedication!
What about some sort of glass armor, with a heavily defense-focused style, able to assimilate their opponent's weapons into yheir arsenal?
Love that
If i could give any realistic thoughtful insight into this beautiful idea, i'd consider not just having every style based off snakes as cool as the idea is.
Appreciate the ideas! I'll consider the note about animals, but the addition of different materials to glass is going to be a big part of the system
I love that
@@hadrianpollard you could even build a decent metaphor around it, "nothing is broken its use has just changed" sort of thing.
I think hand to hand Touch fighting would be awesome
This is such a cool an original idea! Out of curiosity which martial art(s) have you trained, and do you have a favourite? Do you prefer the martial part of martial arts (sparring/competition), or the artistic parts (forms/kata etc) more, or both?
Thank you! Growing up, I trained in a version of tang su do, but later dabbled in muy thai, grappling, tae kwon do, and a few stints in Chinese martial arts which was a blast but had a huge learning curve
Definitely more a forms/drills type of guy -- though sometimes do enjoy a good spar
3:35 The A.I. fingers...
Well, I'll just type it again. Let it be for the algorithm
As a med student I love when fantasy meets science, so I was really excited when you said the touch is genetic, it gives you a lot to play with.
This sounds really cool and original, but one thing I'd like to know is how rare is siraglass ?
Quite rare! You need a glass-wielder to forge it in the first place, and they're almost extinct. A few are in slavery forging glass for the Magnate of the Spiny Isles.
Technically and logistally this is great my only criticism is how thematically is this magic system
I see your heavy on the physical and material stuff but what morales, cultural implications does this magic system.. oh wait you slightly touched on it in the last part
I wonder if there could be a character who uses a siraglass weapon that wasn't bladed but rather blunt, since they probably don't like to kill since they see all life as sacred and does not believe themselves to be the judge of others and deciding who's life to take.
That is a great idea!
Like a Kenshin-style character
Assasins wielders can be interesting.
Such a cool idea. Subscribed to year more :)
I wonder though if the style of movements affects to the type of weapon being created? For example for someone who's martial arts consists of lots of linear back and forth movements - will that increase the chance of straighter objects being cast? ie rapiers, longswords, spears being created. Contrast that to someone who is doing lots of circular kicks and rotations being more likely to create sabres, katanas etc
how about a clay based system like a branch of glass it’s sturdier but its less sharp
3:21 - This video is really interesting and I love to have a peek at the creative process, I'm not too fond of the use of AI though....especially coming from a creative person.
3:23 I just realized this art is AI generated. What are those hands?
Shocked theres no constriction form based around grappling like judo and jiujitsu. Ideal for bladeless combat incase youre caught unarmed. Masters might bind opponents with glass cuffs and lariats. Or if you wanna be spectacular molten bolas. These may be easy to escape for full glasswielders but it would force them to divert their attention for those precious few moments.
Imagine how terrifying to have a molten hand, pinning you and then coming for your face. There's actually lots of this, more a glass-wielding creature called a glasswight than an independent martial arts style.
3:20 AI spotted :(
An entire video and you pay attention to that, the reason he used ai was not because he can't draw but because he has limited drawn images and limited time that he can't produce that much in such little time,so he used this as a demonstration, also he made a version without the ai
Hey. If the wielders use the heat absorbed from their environment to melt glass, would placing them in a cold environment make them less skillful in their melting process?
Most definitely. If you see your breath, you're in trouble
Wont the inherent pyrokinetic ability of glass wielders be a weapon on its own?
Could a glass wielder melt their opponents weapon into unusable goo mid fight? If forming is so fast it can be done mid fight, couldn't a glass wielder pump enough energy into their hands to completely liquify the incoming weapon, like a candy cane swiping at a volcano? Obviously the heat wouldn't harm the opposing person if they have the touch, but it would mean that it would become a purely physical contest. I could see a style dedicated to unarmed grappling with this strategy in mind.
Most definitely! There's a creature called a glasswight that has your strategy in mind
This is super awesome; it's always really interestingto see very different artforms combined into one in fantasy. Using AI to portray it at 3:15 is lame though, coming from a fellow writer and an artist it just sucks to see AI being used in tandem with something so cool.
Thank you and I agree. Re-uploaded sans AI
IDK, sounds like ATLA to me. But jokes appart, the idea (and execution) is really cool !
Thank you!
is the senja stronger then steel?
Yes
I’m sorry man, when you used AI art I immediately lost all respect I had. Cool magic system, disgusting use of AI.
You jump to conclusions too quickly,he stated in this comment section 6 hours ago,he's an artist himself but has limited images and time and can't produce that much in such time, plus it was used as demonstration ,he made a version without the ai.
There is a way to contact you and have Your impression on a magic sistem i have in mind
Yeah for sure! Go through my website, let's chat -- hadrian-pollard.com
That's a really cool idea, but I don't see why they'd be any better than a sword made of steel
Why waste precious time mid-combat to reforge your weapon, when a steel one will be just as strong, and hardly any duller than it was when you started.
Siraglass > Steel
why not just use a normal sword?
It's more fun this way!
This is a really creative and fun video, a shame its ruined by the AI art
It's not ruined it's just a flaw, he's an artist that can draw but he has limited time and limited drawn images that he can't produce in little time, that's why he used ai,he also made a version without the ai
Ugh, i can't believe you decided to use ai art
Yes and? Look I don’t like ai art too it needs regulation, but it’s not the main focus of the video and is used for demonstration only, it was used as a tool like it was meant to be.
I hear you both! Just a visual aid was my intention, but I do think it compromised the feel of the vid.
you really could make a magic system out of anything.
Ha
If these are for more comedic type of stories then yes but even if so i DO NOT recommend using the sementing one please
Let him cook, but don't eat the food 💀
