These methods took me about 3 months to learn everything I needed to know! 🤘🏻
honestly i feel if you have a great grasp of playing, just passively learning theory becomes alot easier, i had the knowledge but no terminology and a lot of my theory learning has been OHHH SO THATS WHAT I WAS DOING lol but to your point in the beginning, i was one of those that thought that, glad i came to my senses, in reality its let me be more creative by giving me more tools. I liken it to someone who can speak a language but not write it. Its still works, you can still communicate and some people may be able to communicate better than someone trained in the language, but being able to write makes you understand the language on a new level, and learning new vocabulary and structure doesnt hinder your sentence making, it will make it stronger. i also feel people believe theory is learning to read music notation when that simply isnt the case
I love the way you put all that. 🤘🏻 and I hardly count notation as theory but I might consider theory basics.
This insight is perfect thank you so much!❤️❤️❤️
Happy to hear!

Learning theory hindered my writing and driven me to learn alot of stuff i never played before (most of that "stuff" are not related to metal.) I started to drift all around the spectrum.
That was fun to watch for a people who know me well. I like to call that (Sort of useless skill number whatever.) Well now i can imitate not only metal but also other genres that involves guitar playing. Not that i like them.... I still prefer to play from what i started. Modern metal.
I can understand that. I’ve used it to incorporate Jazz, Classical, EDM, Hip Hop, Bluegrass styles into my metal songs. Stuff I’ve always wanted to do but couldn’t do justice until I learned how to analyze theory.
You’re fast and easy...
