Hey bro. How do you get this tone (starting from 3.40). I have the stainless steel strings but cant get close to this "metallic" tone. Mine is too woody and fat. Any tought?
I hit the bass string horizontally, almost like a Slap Thumb and used elixir 0.45 strings as well. The Bass tone was made in Garage Band, I can show the preset for you to test, @_gabrielconti . It might help you 👊
@@MrGabrielConti hey thanks for the info. I am using 0.45 dumlop marcus miller sounds great in A strings but on E string it really sucks. I get a woody disturbing noise on E while on A string I get close the one I hear from yours. What could be the reason? Thr gaugr, tension? Pick ups? Should I use 5 strings bass to have this sound on A. (doubt it) Using ibanez sgr300 4 strings. A bit low action like (2-2.5 mm) any toughts?
