@@rafaelmendes714 yeah, coming back 2 years after my comment I changed taste a litte, or more like I opened my mind to stuff I didn't like back then. And now I agree with you. Dukes sounds angrier and fits Exodus' heavy Riffs better, but I saw Exodus twice with Zetro and he blew me away too.
@@morkeherrer2024 gary is the genius behind it all sure, but duke added a whole other layer to the exodus sound, i agree with you though, gary is the constant.
You are my favorite guitar covers player in all UA-cam, thanks to you i learn my favorites songs on guitar watching your playing. Thank you so much for your uploades :)
Brilliant cover! Great tone as well, really nailed the Exodus sound! Were you thinking of doing any songs from Blood In, Blood Out? It would be great to hear Salt The Wound or Food For The Worms!
Astounding job man! What a great cover and what a fantastic vid! It's all right there--You made an incredible song look simple and completely owned it! I need more I'm subscribing.
Dude, you're like the best guitar player i've seen on youtube (besides live bands hahaha). Always top notch tones, you can really feel your passion for the music and tight as hell. Congrats dude.
Thanks man, the verse riff uses the same principle as the pre verse but starts with the up stroke open to an E then G, G#, G, F, Bb, C, C#, C, Bb then tales off with an open E chug to Bb. The second Reid in the verse is very similar but tales off a little different. My video should put the rest of the pieces together
Man, I have been started watching your covers but, I love EXODUS and I can not believe it you play this song ! I know how to play all the riffs but I haven't got the solos. I think there're some mistakes but they sound really good ;) Great job man !!! Congratulations from ARGENTINA !
Saw Exodus live when they opened for Anthrax in the Chicago House of Blues. They were actually really not great. And that's one venue where you really can't blame the acoustics. High on Fire was clear as a bell, and they play stoner metal for goodness' sake. By the way, I'd love to hear some High on Fire covers. Keep up the great work man ;)
I used the ik stealth plug but the Mac is much better with latency than any widows pc I've used. I'm looking at getting the m audio profire 610 though with firewire connectivity and proper monitor outputs. If anyone has a better interface for the price I'd be happy to hear about it
+Colin W A lot of people have thought this is in Drop C, most of the new material is in standard tuning a step down. It's a pretty cool tone they have, really aggressive. I got the tone scooping the amp a little and boosting the front end with a mid focussed eq. Pushing a few frequencies really brings out that thrash attack
Guys if anyone wants to learn this song properly start to end, do what I did: learn the riffs by looking at him playing it (took me a while but totally worth it; my favorite exodus song) and then you can find all the solos on songsterr although it's written as if for normal tuning so all notes are 2 frets higher
I recorded this through Amplitube but when I want this sort of tone out of a normal amp I turn up the presence and the bass, scoop the mids a little and run an eq in the front pushing the mids up giving it that percussive tone
It's in D standard. I can give you an useful advice, if you see Lambchopper, or any other guitarst play the song and use regular powerchords, it's either E standard of flat, if he uses bar chords instead of powerchords you can be sure it's a drop tuning (D,C,B,A) I am pretty sure this is D standard, since I covered some Exodus songs in past.
Gary Holt creates the baddest riffs ever fucking made
although I believe Lee Altus wrote this tune
@@MetalandHotRodsbullshit. This song is completely Gary Holt writting! Asshole
all hail gary frickin holt
This intro is THE MOST badass intro ever !!! I started one man circlepit in my living room
fantastic a metallica shirt the guitar of dave mustaine and an exodus cover xD all without logic
Yet all related. Kirk Hammet was in Exodus at one point and Dave Mustaine was in Metallica.
finally someone who loves the stuff Exodus released with Rob Dukes on vocals. He was so much better than Zetro
So true
thrash metal wouldn't say "better", but honestly I do prefer the "Dukes era" sound.

Exodus is Gary Holt. Rob or Steve doesn't matter if Gary kick asses with his axe

Dude!! Perfect cover, so sick. The song that got me into Exodus. The guitar in this song is unstoppable, it just chugs like a freight train
No, thankyou men for tuning in. It's not much of a channel without an audience
You have a sick taste in music! Metallica, Megadeth, Exodus, Pantera, Lamb of God etc. Really love your covers too!
using Dave Mustaine Guitar, wear Metallica, Play Exodus.
mustaines signiture guitars are better than everyones imo
I think he likes some thrash metal
I have to be honest here, this and hell awaits, are the most badass intros in the history of metal
It’s criminal how underrated this song is. Fantastic cover LambChopper! 🤘🏾

People talk about their favorite bit of gear they use and can't do without, mine is my Mac
What an masterpiece and what a cover! Congratulations man, you deserve a lot more than you already have. Keep up the awesome work!

I did Blood in Blood out a few weeks ago, it's a pretty cool album - I'm enjoying listening to it
I'll check that out! I really love this album, great riffs on every song!
Man you always cover all the best songs! And play them like the original! Man I hope you don’t quit UA-cam I love this fucking channel!!!!
Thanks man I used amplitube 3 and metal I think. The amp model is the 5150 copy with an eq in front pushing mids. Happy to share the presets around

Ignazio Blood Thank you, appreciated
How can anyone dislike this ? You’re awesome dude !
Jealousy maybe
@@sjn_ Nah, it's just the people who hate the Exhibit albums. IMO the best Exodus albums together with Tempo and ofc Bonded by Blood.

It would be great if you put your gear used in the video in the discription :D
this is fucking sick dude good job
Badass!!
This is in D Standard?!! Thought it was in drop C or something. How'd you get that Exodus sound??

Cool. Sounds killer
i got this exact sound with line 6 pod xt live amd am esp ltd mh-50 loaded with emg 57/66 lol
I always thought Exodus ruled the Big Four - they are in a class by themselves....

His tone on this is sooooo sick how did he do it ! ?
You play the song in only one shot !!! I guess you've been working hard for the solo.

Badass!!!!
Hell fuckin yeah I LOVE EXODUS \m/
Awesome, please do a solo lesson
excelente
very nice but a few details that are not correct, other than that terrific cover
cool man...!!!!!... U got Gary's tone....I think Exodus owns the best guitar tone in metal history...amazing...what's ur amp setting..???..

like a boss
What scales do they use in this song? Lol sounds lik a lot chromatic and exotic scales lol
I have been watching your videos for years but just realized I haven't subscribed. What a fucking shame, damn...
fuckin monterist, epic fuckin shit known to man well played my guitar brother
It's only downstroke on riffs when hammer on? Asking, because I see you do something like upstroke when play power chord.
very nice 😈
Holy fuck!!!!
What tabs did u use for this song
Fuck yeah!!!!!!
For those who keep asking what's the tuning,it's drop A tuning
Standard tuning 1 step down. D G C F A D
@@LambChopper678 My mistake
Not your fault man, I remember all the crappy tabs on the net had it in a drop tuning.
Did u use Amplitube for this? It sounds awesome!
can you provide the link to this tab?
one of the hardest riffs in thrash metal history ever.....
nice greetings from germany
🖕
fuck yeah
Please guy, can you give the tabs you took to learn the song ? ( If you pick a tab somewhere ) because all the tab i found is in Drop D..
I worked it out by ear sorry man, I don't use tabs. Most Exodus in the later albums is mainly D standard with the exception of a few in drop C
okay =) thanks man, and you do great job, continue !
Tabs please? Every damn tab I find says this shit is in DROP D when it is clearly not
I don't have any tabs sorry, it wasn't the easiest song to work out - I didn't get all the notes in the solos though

Thane Krios
Yeah,your right dude
Hey bro Love your tone it is the Shit 🤘🎸🤘🎸🤘🎸🤘🖕😈💘🎸💘🎸💘🎸
Is that Dave Mustaines Angel of Deth Dean Flying V?
Yeah 2008 Korea
someone have the tab i can´t find them
One question... is in onlh downstroke... like metallica?
dudes so many people ask for tabs look this site has many tabs www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/exodus-funeral-hymn-tab-s34643t0
Yeah but Funeral Hymn isnt in D standard so its not all good tabs
+PVfreak999 you just learn the riff from this vid then for the solos play all notes 2 frets higher
That opening riff always makes me want to punch someone in the teeth ! but in a good way …...
