Spiked rollers are used for thick epoxy floor coats like self leveling floors.
The spiked roller serves two main purposes.
    1. The first purpose is to eliminate and burst bubbles, pinholes and other pockets of gas that may be present in the coating. If the coating cures without having removed the trapped air, you will end up having a floor scattered with pinholes.
    2. The spiked roller helps level and homogenize the floor screed. As the resin mixture is usually applied with a trowel it is common to get spatula marks, or areas of uneven leveling during application. Applying the roller helps us reach a smooth evenly distributed finish. (as shown in the picture above)

Actually I didn't like the spiked roller that much because it leaves its marks and floor looks like strawberry with its pores may be because I had to use it after a shot time of applying the epoxy!!

Yes sometimes you can get the strawberry look after using a spiked roller. Its common with light colors, and especially if you have strong lighting above the surface. You could try reducing the sand or increasing the thickness of the coating

How much should be the safe thickness
    for industrial warehouse flooring?

I would recommend 2-3 mm for warehouses. Some people like thinner roller applied floors because of lower cost, but if you have the budget go for 2-3mm

Do you have any content on pmma coatings and do supply pmma?

No I don't. The fundamental principles like surface preparation are the same wether you apply epoxy or PMMA. The main differences are in curing times, and how to get each layer to bond
