  • The 63 Land Rovers convoy embarked on an epic 4WD adventure, braving the challenging terrain of the old man range. The Land Rovers, ranging from classic 1960's Series Land Rovers to brand new Range Rovers, were put to the test as they ascended to a breathtaking height of 1700m above sea level, offering stunning panoramic views of the rugged mountain range.
Despite encountering an unexpected obstacle (snow drifts) that prevented us from reaching our intended destination of Cromwell, we adapted our route, descending via Waikaia Bush Road and eventually joining State Highway 8. Along the way, we experienced the thrill of the old man range, conquered steep inclines, and navigated through pristine wilderness.
Although the video ended abruptly due to audio issues after our lunch stop, we hope you enjoyed the exhilarating journey. If you did, please leave a like, comment, and share with your friends. Seeing your dad behind the wheel remembered me of the good times my dad and i had on land rover trips when he was still around. These memories will last forever.

I like the fact that 63/80 ‘made it’ to the event. That’s almost 80% reliability!

That is a sensational part of the country. Have driven the Nevis, Macetown, Mt Buster all in an old Suzuki Escudo. It is the thing of wonderful, wonderful memories.

Love the collection of Landrover Classics - such a pity we cannot breed them! The rambling hills of Otago are still wonderful... but Hayden, I have gone to the dark side... With JLR having lost the plot, add the lunatic prices for the last Defenders here in Aust... I ordered an INEOS Grenadier Diesel....

Great video as usual, keep up the landy content! Just to let you know in M.O.T each letter it pronounced as opposed to being said as a word. Greetings from Scotland.

Love the sound of your series.. I thought I saw a video where you said it had a Toyota engine and gearbox in.. why? Old series diesels are slow but I thought reliable. Im very happy with my 200 tdi

Like I've said before, the best bit about these vehicles...is how stock and normal they are. The crazy mods of the Australian and US offroad channels...gets a bit too much after a while.
