Hey had a question about your r1 after the bren tune. Was wondering if you were having the same issue. On idle do you have a stutter when you get it a nice rev? Mine doesnt feel responsive the first time i give it a rev. But will come up in revs then it will be fine. Just from idle it will be a bit unresponsive. Also do you have any trouble with starting your bike?
Yes, so after seeing the dyno chart, I decided to go in another direction and get a new tune. I did notice a stutter from closed throttle and also with starting the bike.
@@markyang2659 Same here, I have a video up showing my symptoms. Bike will shut off completely. ua-cam.com/video/3gRbE8Sr70g/v-deo.html. They tell me that I may have an air leak, cannot find one if there is one. Update. Had Nick @ xplanecustomtuning flash the ECU, Is now fixed.
Working with attack would have been great. I know someone who knows them and they said they were super backed up because of AMA. Also i would've had to buy their ECU.
Loud pipes save lives……when people are listening. 99% of the driving public are on the phone or distracted. It’s insane. Punching off mirrors saves lives. Hahahaha.
@@MotoViceOfficial lol. I have only heard about it from other people. I would never punch off someone’s mirror if they cut me off and then brake checked me for no reason.
Yep all exhausts that fit 20+ will fit. I even think the 17+ fits as well but I am not 100% sure. The only difference with the 2022 is the gloss black fairings up front.
Yeah you have a problem with that flash, mine as well as three other friends of mine have a 2022 and 2021. Stock dyno we each pulled was from 170 to 174whp. A few guys have had issues with Brentune and had to use e85 to fix it. I have the Sprint F1, Full Akra GP titanium and using Rapid bike tune to have a dyno tune done vs a copied and pasted map. You definitely need to contact them or use SuperBikes unlimited here on the East coast who’s heavy in MotoAmerica and mainly Yamaha dedicated etc. I’m hoping for high 180s to 190whp but most importantly engine efficiency. Ecu is still encrypted 6k rpm and below though which is frustrating.
BrenTuning is great but to be honest I haven’t been impressed with their results outside of the BMWs (which they specialize in). I’d personally get a proper dyno tune to clean all those flat spots and AFR out but do understand if you want to keep working with BT to see what they can do with refinements.
Not impressed?? Look at that stock map vs the flashed one. Bren was the first one to offer R1 owners a unlocked bike, and honestly, that map looks pretty good for basically OTS tune. The problem with Bren tunes, you need to send him the data from the dyno for him to make adjustments. This can have your bike at your tuners for weeks while they get the AFR flat, going back and forth thru emails. However, with Woolich getting the tools to flash, Bren tunes are obsolete now because of tuners being able to adjust the AFR themselves without needing to go thru him. But don't forget about the first person to help these bikes out, he did impressive work.
@@Cobradaddy As as I mentioned in the last part of this episode, I think the BrenTuning is great option for a remote tune. They did a great job and I acknowledged that. Nothing against them at all, except I do believe their customer service could be improved. Bren deserves the credit and I have had multiple people mention that they were going the BtMoto route after seeing my first impressions video. For me, yes the flash was a great improvement, but economically the nearest dyno is 2 hours for me. It was better for me to get a local tune with a shop that could adjust the AFR on the fly, instead of going back and forth.
That Graves can looks and sounds vicious, The mic could hardly capture the noise past like 8,000 😂.... thing must be loud AF!! Dopest can they make by a long shot bro🔥🔥🔥

Awesome! The R1M is a gorgeous bike!!
Great test!
Keep vloggin'.. great cobtent!!
You got it. Thank you!!
Good stuff man, i would recommend the smog block off plates from graves before doing anything more on a dyno or a tune :)
Did smog block offs and intake flap delete today! 🙏
Nice, thats my next move as well. When the snow is gone ill be dropping off my 21 R1M to Bren Tuning in Mass.
@@mannya1171 Nice! Im sure they will do a great job having the bike in person!
Great video🙏🏾 - I need to make a trip to Cali one day! - new sub, keep up the good content.
Let me know if you do! Thanks for the support!
Have you ever looked into Attack Performance in Huntington Beach.
For rearsets yes. I don’t know of many shops that can tune these bikes.

Have you considered to just have it tuned at attack yamaha in Huntington beach?

Hey! Could you post the graph comparing stock, tuning and tuning + akrapovic with rpm numbers?? Awesome result! I'm eager to get my 2022 R1 black!!!
Id love to. I cant spoil the surprise but there might not or might be another dyno video coming! Hopefully I can get some charts.
Are you sending the dyno results back to brentune and getting a new map ?
Not exactly sure yet. Stay Tuned!
Why didn't you gp with SLR-Tuning that work closely with SoCal Superbike?
Nice video I was curious what app do you edit your thumbnails for your video
I have someone do them for me actually 😂. I don’t know what all he uses
I can never get over these guys riding in between cars. In orlando you’d be done in 2 days doing that
Damn, well splitting lines is like second nature out here.

Since I’m early, would a 2021 exhaust fit on a 2022? I’d assume they are the same but I don’t want to buy an exhaust and it not fit.

Yep I had the whole bike re-done and tuned with a Dyno. It’s a monster now!!
@@MotoViceOfficial did you post the vid!?!?? Lol
What do you mean the Ecu is encrypted? I had the Bren tune done also on my 2021 R1 and having issues.

I will explain in my next video what I decided to do. For a remote tune without them having the bike in person, I do give them credit for their work.

LA. Do a flash not a tune. Not worth the money. Moore Mafia is my recommandation. Let him know I mentioned him!
