Sorry I confused the R2 with V2.. this is the V2!!

Thank you for your support!
hey this is random but thank you for having black borders on all the text on screen, makes it a lot more readable
My editor came up with it and it was a great idea so I use it in all videos now! Glad it helps.
Your honest opinion and just general good advice about not buying everything that moves is so good man. Wasn’t even necessarily interested in this board to begin with but wish I had heard this advice when I first started lol Looking forward to the next vid as always
that's what i'm here for, thanks for watching the video!!
Great channel. One of the better mech keyboard reviewers out there. Keep up the great work!
Dang you're right, I got the teal unit to review but It came out to be just a dark green/blue in the end! Loved the review, was also there during the stream!
yeah the colors basically blended lol. thanks for hanging out on the stream!
Sounds really nice and clacky!! Great build!
Thanks for the colour comparison! I ordered the wild green but changed to navy after watching the video cos I refuse to be disappointed. Hahaha.
lmao i'm sure you'll be happy with the navy
I received a dark green QK65 R2 before the holidays. I used the ePBT Grand Tour keycaps from MKUltra and it looks wonderful with the dark green keyboard.
Is the R2 green more like forest green or kinda teal like this one?
@@AndyVNguyen It's more like Forest Green.
Gotcha cool thanks for sharing!
Great review!
Thank you!
just got my order in! cant wait :D
hope you enjoy it!
Can't decide on this or the ck650. I have the ck850 and it's great, but I've wanted to try a 65, and I've loved the look of the zoom boards. However, that battery is so small, and no 2.4ghz. The ck650 has an 8000mah battery, AND a dongle. Plus, with the zoom, how bad is that back gonna look after a few months of normal use? 🤔
You deserve more subscribers your content is too good
I appreciate it! Grinding away
Bro those teal boards are so nice, gotta find me one of those.
I'm sure you can find it secondhand if you put up a wtb on r/mm or mechmarket discord
Honestly the zoom tkl really changed my opinion on wuque, great board for the price. Great video once again, do you like your kohaku more or your unikorn more? Also what is your fav tkl?
Hard to pick. Kohaku gasket edges out since it’s a clacky gasket. I feel like I can get different sounds out of that board whereas korn is just gonna be loud. ZoomTKL is solid! And wireless good. Just man that ansi bottom. It’s less offensive on the 65 tho.
@@AndyVNguyen Yeah the zoom tkl ansi bottom is really unfortunate. Do you have a favorite tkl?
@@br0s1ve32 F1-8X for sound and for feel.. not really sure. I like my top mount TKLs but not enough to go out of my way to get nice ones like the Ottanta. I'll build a Cloudline tomorrow on twitch stream 5:30PM PT tho! That might be #1. Frog TKL overall is the most accessible nice TKL imo
Dang it, I just received my Zoom65 from the previous group buy. If I decide on getting this one, I'll just wait for the extras and if there aren't any, that's fine 😆
Don't upgrade! No need. Save up more and get something bigger and badder
that green looks nice.
Which green lmao
wow. I was gunna get a green. thank you
I'm mostly excited for the zoom109 I was told is coming q2/q3 so I'll have something with a numpad for work (lots of data entry)
damn that's gonna be HyUge
Yeah it'll have one heck of a footprint 😂 I think I'll be happy though
May have to pick this one up 👀
Gaming on it was great!! No wires. Can throw it around the desk when I get sweaty. I just need to take the long pole penyus out - I don’t like reduced travel lol
When did a keyboard that costs $175 became a budget keeb? If you decide to buy some GMK keycaps and some expensive switches you get around $300 and more. Really detailed review, and an honest opinion on it too. I am glad you were straight to the point with not buying this one.
Thing is you can get PBTFans keycaps for under $100 and switches that are like $40 but still around $300. Sub $200 is a great price for these heavy gasket mount boards, but is just a different definition of “budget”
I have the wild green Zoom TKL and it's a very close match the GMK Kaiju. Take that for what you will.
That looks about what I expect based off of the unit I have here as well!
Just ordered one. Now the waiting game.
hopefully it ships fast for you!
i got the og zoom65 and yeah the weight of it was kinda meh. but i ordered the internal brass weight during the EE drop which greatly improved the weight feel in hand. oh and yes, building it was a bit of a pain in the ass...
Dude yeah the Olivia one I had with no internal weight I was like yeah.. i guess it's a cool knob keyboard.. but this one with the internal weight felt great!
Did the sound change by a lot when you added the internal weight? I haven't tested and it's been a long time since I had the Olivia Zoom65 EE.
The standoffs are so hard on this keyboadr.
@@AndyVNguyen to be honest, to my ears, not by much. but to be fair, I have all foams in it so it has that owl labs jelly foam sound which is what I was looking for. if anything, it sounds like a "fuller foamy board" if that makes sense. the biggest difference the weight made is the well, for the lack of a better word, the weight of the board haha!
Hi man! Do you recommend this keyboard for everyone? Thank you for your deep review!
The review mentions it’s not for everyone
Andy ballin after that bcp sale
TIME TO BUY A BUGATTI
@@AndyVNguyen I WOKE UP IN A NEW BUGATTI
Hello Andy, how are you?
I would love to hear from you how this compares to the Keychron Q2 or the Akko MOD006/7v2?
I'm trying to upgrade from the Akko 3068BPlus to a 65% aluminum keyboard with a knob. I've been eyeing the Keychron Q2, Zoom65v2, and thinking about compromising for an Akko MOD 006/007v2 (007v2 is limited to a purple color and if I'm going to pick a 75%, I might go with the space grey 006 and lose the knob).
The Zoom65v2 would amount to $310usd, the Q2 would be 230, and the Akko mod 006/007v2 would be $190. Which one of these would you pick?
I'd appreciate it if you could share with me your honest thoughts :)
I did not like the akko mod boards, a bit too hollow. I think the q2!8/ solid or this zoom65. That total cost for the zoom is kind of high tho so that’s gonna depend on your budget
@@AndyVNguyen I guess I will have to do more research on whether the zoom65v2 is worth the extra$.
I really appreciate your response! Thank you :)
What your thought between zoom65 ee v2 and zoom75 (not mention the layout) about the build, case, sound…
zoom75 sounds/feels better
Sold out :( so hard finding a quality green custom keyboard I can build off of. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!
the GB finished so you can wait for extras to sell on divinikey or something, or you can hop onto their next project, the 75% version. they have the same greens available
Hi, I was wondering if this board was compatible with any other stabilizers besides the stock ones it comes with.
yes. you can use screw in or snap in stabilizers no problem.
As someone who's ordering my first kit, anything else that I need to order along with it to complete it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
probably one other plate to try and a backup pcb. other color knobs if you want.
I'd probably recommend the $20 internal weight too
Love the review! Didn't realize this needed stand offs - seems weird. I have too many GB's on the way so you're review makes this a fairly easy pass. Thanks!
It needs standoffs for the softer plates, which is standard. You can try to make do without.. but not every switch will snap in properly all the time
What’s the artisan called?
thank's for telling me not to buy this, I really wanted it even if I just got a qk65
Totally agree on CF plates! Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts on the Zoom, I'm tempted to join the 75 GB but I feel there are better options out there
there will always be new keyboards, but right now aftermarket for stuff is tanking, so save your money until it's something you REALLY want!
I see that Saosin shirt and I raise you a Circa Survive
YOU ALREADY KNOWW~!!!
Where did you get that tool that holds the plate up while installing switches?
fengstudio.ca/products/plate-support-fork?variant=43228846260466
your honesty and advice is on point. I'll skip this thing...another same good product but nothing really new.
Wish I bought the tkl lol I barely found out about the 65 today
Gotta be a subscriber so you don’t miss out on releases! My discord is a good place too
Getting colors is matched to a colored keycap is definitely a struggle... I'm guessing Marrs Green or Metropolis may work?
Yeah it’s tough cuz the keycap is plastic and the board is metal. Can even be same Pantone and it’ll still have differences in color
Someone said Kaiju tho
Hi ! what is the effect of the internal weight on the sound? Is it a must have ?
Other people said not a huge effect. Mostly just adds heavy feel which I think is worth it
ZOOM 65 EE R2 is still on the way and the upgraded Version V2 is on GB starts tomorrow, i have a mixed feeling....the waiting in the hobby is dreadful, evening upgrade and development goes faster than shipping them........
Yeah I agree with you the waiting sucks..
Will you make a video on the Mode Envoy?
I'm not planning on it, they haven't reached out
@@AndyVNguyen dang. It looks so nice too
Will there be any differences between zoom tkl and zoom75? I ve heard that zoom75 is coming but i dont know if the info is legit. What would you prefer, buying zoom75 or waiting for MAYBE upcoming qk75?
I heard a lot of people liked qk75 so if that comes earlier I’d get that
@@AndyVNguyen I think the zoom is coming in like late q1 2023, do you know if there is a huge difference between them?
I don’t have information on that yet, I’d ask in their discord
@@AndyVNguyen Thanks
That Ivory Cream version of this board looks so dang nice though ugh
Their colors are def nice
Agree with your take on rendering color. I have a SkyBlue Zoom65EE (check my uploaded video) and the color is just dead :'(
I looked at your video vs. their product page and it looks very similar though? meletrix.com/collections/zoom65-essential-edition/products/zoom65-v2-essential-edition-sky-blue
Damn I ordered wild green and am disappointed by what I’m seeing here. Any chance it’s tweaked before they ship them?
It’s unlikely. I reported these colors to them and they said it’s correct
@@AndyVNguyen damn that’s crazy! The difference from the image at the top of the pre order page is so large, they need to fix that pic. Thanks for the insight
Yo Andy! Just wanted to say wassup. Been a while from my end. Gotta catchup with your content!
Welcome back!
ayo Andy is that a saosin shirt king
Hell yes
Is the knob programmable ?
yes in via
"and if they don't prototype all the colours" *cough* KFA *cough*
🤔🤔🤔
What's the difference between then r2 and v2 ?
The things I mentioned in the video
R2 was a rerun v2 is a redesign
Zoom TKL releasing to early without... what? Can't hear what you're saying
Tsangan bottom. It’s a weird word.
Does it have rgb?
Yes, I show it in the video
Wow thocc on a budget
Yessir thoccy woccy
PENYU!!! MALAYSIA REPRESENT!!!
This is the zoom65 v2, not r2 in your title
thanks I made a mistake! I will fix
@@AndyVNguyen Just curious, do you think the additional SS weight is worth it? like how does it affect the sound/feel ?
it makes a huge difference in feel in hand for quality. in terms of sound, i think you can get by without it. foam and/or silicone will fill the void space and be fine. i'd put down $20 for the internal weight just to make the keyboard feel thicc though.
@@AndyVNguyen I pulled the trigger with the weight. She gotta be thicc. Thanks for the review!
lookin swole
THANKS BRUDDA
budget? i just paid 250 for it
You got fleeced .. shipping and duty?
@@AndyVNguyenyes
Andy, you ought to slim down so you will look more handsome
I'm on it
