@MrWill9002 Could be though I think the Jedi thought it was better for them to train the Anzati than to leave Karkko to freely feed on living beings with that power, probably believed they could set him straight.

Lol, did you also notice Anzati got a canon page based on a technicality despite being retconned out from the films? I sometimes think Wookieepedia is too lax on what counts as canon source lol.
I've seen them make canon pages based on fricking toys...

Not necessarily, It does help in getting familiar with the ability in a more personal sense though. But one has to feel an intense hatred for that person or being and focus all that hatred outward and shoot towards them and Quinlan Vos hated the Anzati out of fear.
