I kind of agree with you. We went in May and the service there was definitely not as good as anywhere else on the ship. The main dining room service was unbelievable. The food was fine though, not fantastic, but good.
I will have to see if they have improved by November when we go on Icon. The service you describe is what we had on Wonder of the Seas but we tried to say it was just because the ship was new. Waited over 30 minutes to get a waitress, then ordered with 2 hours before the show and with 30 minutes before the show starting we finally just walked out so we could get seats at the show. No idea why the wait was so long at all but it was absolutely terrible. I do know that if you order the campfire cookie they did warn us on Oasis that it takes 40 minutes to make it by the time they bake the cookie which I thought was crazy but at least they were up front with the wait time.
Did you guys bring Uno or did they have it there? That is such a great idea! We are going on Symphony next May. We have 2 girls that will be 11 & 9, and they love Uno, and my husband I love playing cribbage so on nights when they want to go to kids club we can find a spot to hang out and play.
Sadly, there is no Uno there unless you bring it yourself. Amanda always has a deck of Uno cards, no matter where we go so we can play. There may be a deck of Uno cards or board games in board game areas. I do not think that icon of the seas has a library anymore with board games though.

Wonder of the seas wasn’t as bad for us but it likely is the atmosphere of the restaurant since it’s a lot of people who aren’t even eating
