This just popped up on my feed. I hope you had a chance to explore different parts of the island and not just the San Juan Metro area (tourist spots). You are walking through Santurce and Bebos is located on Calle Loiza. If you walk a few blocks to your right you're in Condado. I usually shop at that supermarket whenever I go to Puerto Rico and find the prices to be the same like here in NYC. Most of those places in that area are closed due to genetifrication, the economic situation, natural disasters and other contributring factors occurring on the island. I'm also Puerto Rican and know not to walk through certain areas in Santurce like you did. Thank you for sharing!

But if you're adventurous there is more to offer. Travel around the island. It full of nice people, beautiful beaches, mountains, tropical rain forests, caves ,even a desert, and so much more.

There are about 5.8 million of Puerto Ricans in U.S. ( 3.2 million in P.R.)
Florida overtook N.Y. with the largest PRican population ( after hurricane Maria)
PRicans will eventually outnumber the Cuban population, which has historically been the largest group in Florida.
NewYork🗽🇵🇷 still has more than a million Boricua residents.
