Another thing that makes vehicles much more effective than they were in the last couple of editions is that their stats don’t start to degrade until the vehicle is almost destroyed, and even then it’s not by a whole lot. So now they stay almost as effective until they’re seriously damaged instead of becoming almost useless after taking a couple of hits.
I did a game with all sentinels, it...has a huge firepower problem, your spending 70 and 60 points on 1 heavy weapon when you can do 3 heavy weapon's with 60 in heavy weapon's teams (basically 180 and 210 points for 60 points worth of guns) , you wont kill much and will just die slower from the armour of the sentinel's, sentinel are something you take to support something else, not as the mainline unit, eg 1 scout team to help friendly's reroll 1's or arty ignoring indirect penalty's, and armoured sentinel are just to be used as fast resistant unit to lock down a point (there rerolls on monsters dose not help with invulnerable saves and there guns are heavy weapon's, not tank grade weapon's, hunting monsters is not a strong point) one good point however is all sentinel's have regiment and squadron, meaning any officer, tank commander or not, can order them and can be hit with reinforcements stratagem.
A 3d printed rogal dorn is like $5 in resin. Cults 3d. stupid cheap. Most of the models are free there. Even hellhounds and baneblades can be found if you look hard enough. That makes tank guard arguably the cheapest army to own. =D
@@DCCRocksyou don't print solid, you can hollow most of the parts and even with supports that brings it waaaay down. I can print a leman russ (with a bigger turret design) for about £7.
I do love me some Armour! I usually add in 3 Chimera's with squads and cut some tanks to help balance things out when I run super tank heavy, but even when not focusing on Armour I usually take 4 main tanks, some combination of Russ and Dorn.
Played my Armored BTG in a couple of games (index Necron, Marines and GSC), it has been surprisingly good and crushingly funny.😂 My recipe is 1 LR CMD 3x LR MBT 3x LR DEM 1x LR ERAD 1x LR EXTR 2x MANTICORE
Just started buying up a tank regiment, going to use Station Forge Grim Guard planning on using Cmdr w/BC, Vanq, 2x eradicators, hellhound and 3x5 death riders my starting 1000pts
Question: In the context of shoving a model in your enemies face, would you rather prefer a punisher with 3x flamers? or an Eradicator? I cant decide if I want the volume of shots with DEV vs infantry, or if I want that sweet 7 shot minimum with ignores cover.
95pt Hydra in the backfield says "I'M DEPLOYIN' MA PORTA-HOMERS IN YA BACKLINES!!!" Joking aside, it might have helped to mention specifically what an armored company is defined as. Is it just a lack of infantry, or is it only Russes, Dorns, and Baneblades and that's all you can take? Cause you can play essentially just like Knights, with Medium tanks like Hydras and Hellhounds taking the same roll as Armigers to push up the frontline and the big guns playing support.
Dude, you didnt even cover what an armoured company actually is!? How do the medium tanks fit into this play style? What about artillery? Are basilisks or manticores a better pick?
Hey man, can you look into maybe why some of your videos are blocked for me and probably others through content filtering? I'm not sure what it is about some of your videos that get caught by it. Maybe some flagging gum by UA-cam or certain words you use in descriptions?
Hey there I’m the editor of the channel! It could be some bad flaggings from UA-cam unfortunately, what country are you from so that I can get an idea as to why it might be the case? :) So far I haven’t ran into an issue about any of the content being blocked for several users apart from them being too underaged but that’s only about it.
With the exception of eldar, almost every game I've had was pretty close. Orks, chaos, knights, daemons, Votann, and Death Watch. All my games so far have come down to turn 4/5 strategy instead of previously just winning in turn 1 or 2.

Great breakdown of the armor lists. Do an “Oops, all walkers!” list. I would love to hear your opinion on an 18 Sentinels list.

24 sentinels you mean!
The best tank is obviously Taurox Prime. The most common vehicle in the game.
Maybe not the best strategy, but triple Dorn, Triple battle cannon russ, with chimera/infantry is what i run. It's been fun so far
What officers and such do you use?

This is the way
How are you printing one for that little resin? I'd imagine at least 1 full bottle of resin if you want the tank to look nice and are using supports.

@@DCCRockshollowing and cheap resin. I can make a dorn for £8-9 that way and a russ for £6-7.
We love tanks so much we can run tanks inside our tanks...
Chimera with cyclops is less than 100pts and can go do those scoring secondaries.

A good on the money assessment. I will add another good , fielding all tanks feels as good as you imagine it will.
Not a guard players, but oooooooh do I like my 130 point predators. They're so underrated.
Reading my mind i swear brother xD thank you again for this video into something i've considered lately xD

Awesome... just finnished my first 1K points, all tanks. So looking forward playing them.
Great vid, mate
Favorite tank is easily the Banesword. What's cooler than a house sized tank??

I've ran both and honestly the Eradicator is way more fun
Is desperate escape a stratagem?
Not a problem to score when the opponent is tabled turn 3 😅
You can shot blasts out of combat with tanks???
I'd say the Demo cannon can wound something on 4 at most. The Baneblade.
Is 2 rogal dorn in 500-1000 viable?
Absolutely yes. They eat through anything with the right loadout

I blame the Mordian Glory hole, it's just too hot for UA-cam!
BANEBLADE all the way !
It boggles my mind that people are still playing tenth edition lol
Cause it's fun?
? Isn’t it the current edition?
Why should they not? What do YOU play?
Mind easily boggled.
