Reverb definitely helps relaxing and feeling less stressed when singing live... some people have a stronger voice to sing live without the effect, some don't and in such case a little bit of reverb/delay is perfectly welcome and totally legitimate to use.

Her second album is incredibly good and I looking forward to the new one in February. I strongly recommend checking out her new song 'Gullible Fool'.

Le Cliché I’m over here preferring her new stuff. Her second album was better than the first IMO. Fewer redundant tracks and plus her debut didn’t age well at all. She has Bowie and funk vibes on Trouble in Paradise... Uptight Downtown will still sound good in another 20 years.

For those doubting, 0:38 you can hear it on “down” in “takin me down”... this is definitely live.
