Great information Bill. Some teachers today try to impress a student with thousand dollar words and so many movements in the golf swing. The students are completely lost. I remember one actor that paid a teacher in Fl when I lived their 10,000 dollars for lessons and then went to a tournament and shot in the high 90's.
This is definitely a case where money can’t buy happiness……I’m sure there are cases where it does, but I doubt I will ever experience those cases. Thanks
Got it Bill, the right foot pulling back slightly closes the shoulders and gives you the in to out swing. I had this pre CL, a guy on YT don't think he posts any-more called DA Watts he called it an Angled Stance it's the one thing I never lost but thanks to you all the other bits are now falling in to the puzzle PS Have a look at Willie Nelson he loves golf and has his own 9 hole course at his home only problem there are no par holes. Par is what ever Willie does on the hole, some days a par 3 can be a par 6. Oh well I love him and all you Americans should too he's a national treasure. " Good morning America how are ya, don't you know I'm your favourite son”.
Well it was an example loaded with some great information if it was recognized by the viewer. For me the key is always this: if my hips aren’t across the target line or parallel to it at impact, I’m going to struggle. I know what mechanical structure that works, but if the motion doesn’t match up with it, well you know the results. Good ole Willy, a pure patriot.
It’s called flexibility Stephen, look at their side bend, can we do that? Also something invisible you can’t see is their hand eye coordination. They also hit 1000’s of balls and can produce the motion needed to allow their arms to swing on a different direction than their hips as I explained in my vid. In short we can’t do what they do for obvious reasons. The person who opened his hips faster than any other player I’ve seen was Tiger Woods. When you do that over a period of time you stand a good chance of wrecking your lower back. Many pros have suffered this injury by opening their hips more than what is required, which is a motion that doesn’t marry up with the mechanics. To actually see exactly how much they are really open at impact can’t be seen with the naked eye it just happens too fast so with that said don’t be fooled by what your seeing it may not be as extreme as you may think. Hope that helped.
Very simple and direct explanation of the golf swing…good job
It’s really that easy Jim. Thanks

Always appreciate your vids Bill, and this makes sense. But why do the pros have their hips way open at impact?
