Nice vid! I have a garmin hr monitor. It’s old and doesn’t seem to get a consistent connection. Have these hr straps improved in the last 10 years?

Just of interest what is your average pace per km over a 10km run? Im more like a 4 hour marathon runner but want to improve but knowing your marathon pb it would help me get an idea of how slow in terms of pace my own Z2 run should be

@@zmiru my most recent 10k was 36:16 but I wasn’t at full fitness so hard to tell. For your own pace, if you’re running by heart rate I would recommend a newer one (you can always buy second hand) than yours if it won’t stay connected. If you’re going by pace, I would say aim for 90 seconds - 2 mins slower than MP. If you can speak in full sentences, you’re running easily enough

@@RunningAllTheTyne Hi Thanks for the reply. Last question...so say my marathon pace was 5.30/km. Then my Zone 2 run should be 7.00/km or 7.30/km, roughly speaking. I just find that so slow that I can hardly do it. Do you find that yourself with your own Zone 2 runs. Do you find them incredibly slow and unnatural?

@ it would kind of depend on how accurate that marathon pace is, if you’re struggling to be able to go at a certain pace, you should try judge it by whether you can speak in full sentences, see how that works for you? It can be hard to slow down and feels very slow usually
