FYI, i used to ride the soft with the washers that came with my indy's, until i realized that after a month or two, the washer was gnawing at the sides of the bushings, and basically ruining the turning capabilities. I switched to mediums and ride them without the washers. i might even go with one medium and one soft. but be aware, that if you ride loose, and like to turn a lot, those WASHERS WILL RUIN YOUR BONES BUSHINGS.
I just installed some black ones on my skate (willow double impact, reynolds blue trucks, caballitos 50mm wheels) and I could feel the difference immediately, the board feels by far much more stable than with traditional bushings. Hands down recommended.
I love those bushings but as a heavyset dude liking tightass trucks I blowout the core inserts so I end up having to replace them every couple months anyway.
Independents overall are really good the only down part is the stock bushing bursts really fast depending how much you skate i bought the Medium bones bushings and they really improved my trucks i recommend them to everyone they work!
These work, I have the hardest ones on my Indy Stage 10s and for Mini and Vert - they are ideal. Normally stock indys are too loose and the bushings get shredded when you wrench them down tight. I kept the bottom cup washer on mine tossed the top washer and they turn absolutely perfect, keep the indy's orginal geometry and do not even make any annoying squeaks. You will not be sorry if you get these if you have Indys and need your trucks a bit tighter and bushing that wont shred on you.
i had some bones bushings in and i decided to get new indy bushings, the standard medium signature orange ones. i didnt get wheelbite with my bones bushings but with the indy ones I did. and im talking about just my normal turning. but i wish they made bones bushings the same color as the stock indy ones. just to keep it looking OG
Although it is said these bushings don't need to be used with the bushing cups/washers, I disagree. The top, the bushing closest to your board, definitely needs the cup in order to be seated correctly with most trucks. Because it shifts the angle of your trucks different from the kingpin, I prefer to still use the cups because their shape helps create a better seat and doesn't wear out the bushings as quick. I would suggest using a thick washer, or continue using the cups.
Yup I use the cups and my bones lasted a year and my friend runs no cups or washers on his trucks and his Bones would crack amd fall apart after about a month.
Ive found the same thing. I got a brand new set of indy hollows for Christmas, it's currently the end of February and my bushings have split. I haven't even got to skate much in that time because I live in the UK and it rains almost constantly here. So probably only done a month's worth of skating since I've had them.
i ride super tight trucks, independents, my bushings would fall apart within a matter of weeks, got the bones hard bushings and haven't had a problem since.
Yea they will but on my 149s they dont fit too well, you kinda gotta jam em down in there and tighten the kingpin alot until they mold to the truck then you can loosen them up
At one time the instructions read, no top bushing cover required, its built in. Then they started sending a flat black metal top bushing cover, a personal choice thing, or is the cover now recommended ?
I have these and I cracked the top plastic peice. It's still usable but I had to put a washer over it. I have the mediums and I ride super loose so the nut isn't flushed with the kingpin and sticks out because of the washer. Next time I'll get the soft
Had medium ones ( yellow ) on my destructo trucks & they wear off with 2 weeks + they dont fit very well . definetly get hard ones if ur ridin tight trucks.
I've had these bushings multiple times and every time they'd crack on the top where the hard part (ring) meets the soft part. But they might be ok if you skate flatground.
Am I supposed to keep the boardside cup washer on my Indys (standard height) or not? Right now I'm running the hard bushings without the boardside washer and it's lovely but I'm getting mad wheelbite. The kingpin nut is tightened flush. Didn't have this wheelbite issue with the Indy hard bushings but those feel dead compared to bones. Just wondering if I used the bones with the boardside bushings would it be too much preload and kill the bushings faster or alter the truck geometry? Thanks for any help.
I don't understand ... I bought bones medium bushings for my indy trucks standard 139mm stage 11. When I install all, I just put the high washer, but the kingpin nut touches when I grind, so it break it... WHAT CAN I DO PLEASE
I just got Bones medium bushings. Should have gotten the hardcore. What’s weird is my front truck leans all the way back and gets wheel bite. No matter how much I tighten it, the truck does not get tight. And these are brand spanking new bushings.
BONES WHEELS here’s what happened. New deck and new bushings. I set it up and my front truck made this horrible squeak whichever way I turned. I looked up how to fix it and the guy used small pieces of wax to stop the squeak. I didn’t have skate wax, so I used candle wax in my pivot cup, on my kingpin, and between the bushings. Now the truck doesn’t want to tighten down and keep the truck tight. This is the first time ever I’ve had to replace my bushings. Not sure what to do. Any tips would be great
@NatDak1 Nope I Have indys But the Indy Bushing were good For Me but I Bought the Bones Because I Had A Lil Extra Money And There SOOO GOOOD the Best dude I recommened You Getting mediums they Come In 2 Colors black/yellow and white/yellow Because i skate lots of street but skate vert at times so there perfect for both
I'm 5’ 9” 200 lbs, I had the mediums and I had to tighten the kingpins down to the point that about 1/8” of threads were showing before I was happy with the tension. would the hards be a better suit for me?
Yo I’m 6’ 250 and the hards are the best. I ride Indys and use the top metal stock bushing as the base and it fits great. Lately I don’t use the bones tops bushing. I like this set up way better. Especially got a thicc dude like myself
They just don't fit nice in Krux, no amount of extra washers seems to alter the geometry enough for these fit and work correctly, at best with Krux I was able to use just the top bushing and not replace the stock barrel type they came with.
If these, were so goo,, why cant we get them anymore? By the way , i thought / think they are great. They came standard with my Aera trucks, but now i cant get them anywhere! GRRRRRR
+SurvivalGames1 I've used the Hards w/Thunder Trucks and 54mm OJ Wheels, weighing at 237 bowls/parks/concrete flats (not so much street) lol I've used the cupped washers as well w/Hard bushings , really restricted my turning especially in bowls for carving but was really stable when going down a hill or side-walk. I weigh 223 now, skating one of Haslam's Almost 8.25 decks with Thunder Trucks 8.0 axle and 52mm Bones Haslam STF wheels. I actually just replaced the Hards with Mediums and took off the bottom cup washer and replaced the top washer with the one Bones Bushings comes with yesterday. Very "turn-ee". The cup washers (especially the bottom) can limit your turning quite a bit as opposed to not using one at all. Us heavy guys, gotta use spacers as well! Helps with pressure cracks and wheel bite! Stay away from small wheels! 54mm wheels felt really comfy for me as well. Check out Bones' V1, V4, or V5 series wheels

So glad they come with a thick washer for installation now.
I love those bushings but as a heavyset dude liking tightass trucks I blowout the core inserts so I end up having to replace them every couple months anyway.
game changers my sk8ing changed so much since i got these!
i have those purple wheels 54mm there so sick!
Independents overall are really good the only down part is the stock bushing bursts really fast depending how much you skate i bought the Medium bones bushings and they really improved my trucks i recommend them to everyone they work!
yeah I have indys.. thanks for the reply!

I use the medium yellow and they are great they dont break in and change. And they just carve and stay conssintant
Just got some today for new ventures i really like the no break in time and they dont stick so ur board doesnt get that gangster lean
I love Bones bushings. I use Bones hard in my set up.
stock indy,s work 4 me..
They are the best
stock indy bushings blow. their replacement ones are drastically better. the 92a blue ones are best
i had some bones bushings in and i decided to get new indy bushings, the standard medium signature orange ones. i didnt get wheelbite with my bones bushings but with the indy ones I did. and im talking about just my normal turning. but i wish they made bones bushings the same color as the stock indy ones. just to keep it looking OG
depends on ur truck, black core hard for:ACE, Indy, Theeve, and maybe Thunder for good tight and turnability, cause i got hards in my indys
Seriously everything bones makes is solid
So I ride trucks loose and I got medium bones bushings. Is that a good mix or should I go get softer bushings?
My bushings are Break in 10 Sessions
Can i send them to you?

That's what I do also.
Yup I use the cups and my bones lasted a year and my friend runs no cups or washers on his trucks and his Bones would crack amd fall apart after about a month.
Indy's tear so easy I recommend bones medium bushings.
...
Indys mediums usually last me around one year while bones crack after a month...
kofeo wofeio indys don't tear easy. Pretty sure you had a defective one or they were years old.
Ive found the same thing. I got a brand new set of indy hollows for Christmas, it's currently the end of February and my bushings have split. Even in 2020 this helped me
I have these and I cracked the top plastic peice. It's still usable but I had to put a washer over it. I have the mediums and I ride super loose so the nut isn't flushed with the kingpin and sticks out because of the washer. Next time I'll get the soft
I like to have my trucks pretty tight but I want to be able to turn effectively, so should I go with hard?
the skatepark is the same place where anthony schultz does his thunder trucks video...
just got the hard ones, honestly feels loose right out the box but its a good loose
Had medium ones ( yellow ) on my destructo trucks & they wear off with 2 weeks + they dont fit very well . definetly get hard ones if ur ridin tight trucks.
They are the best.

My bushings are about to break ill try to get these

@EnuffSkater147 nope unless you shave them down and remove the bottom washer. That's what I had to do..
Finally got one hard buahings
I don't understand ... I bought bones medium bushings for my indy trucks standard 139mm stage 11. When I install all, I just put the high washer, but the kingpin nut touches when I grind, so it break it... WHAT CAN I DO PLEASE

I have lows but soon as my indy bushings collapse which they are close to doing so, but my dad's gonna sad them down a little bit so it can fit
@anindo75 yeah but they feel better with newer trucks
Says he rides the hards
*his deck in the video has the mediums*

@NatDak1 Nope I Have indys But the Indy Bushing were good For Me but I Bought the Bones Because I Had A Lil Extra Money And There SOOO GOOOD the Best dude I recommened You Getting mediums they Come In 2 Colors black/yellow and white/yellow Because i skate lots of street but skate vert at times so there perfect for both

So if should I get med or hard, I've cracked my independent medium ones BEACUASE of how tight I have them, should I go with bones medium or hard?
Hard
if I want quick and tight turns, which bones bushing version I had to buy , the soft, medium or the hard one?
MC flyer they all do some what the same thing
I'm 5’ 9” 200 lbs, I had the mediums and I had to tighten the kingpins down to the point that about 1/8” of threads were showing before I was happy with the tension. would the hards be a better suit for me?
+Kayleigh Williams Yea try the hards. There's a good chance that you will like them more
Yo I’m 6’ 250 and the hards are the best. I ride Indys and use the top metal stock bushing as the base and it fits great. Lately I don’t use the bones tops bushing. I like this set up way better. Especially got a thicc dude like myself
@Thepantripper how can you even ride witout your bottom bushing?

mine just broke the platic peice came cleen out what should i do bones plz reply
They just don't fit nice in Krux, no amount of extra washers seems to alter the geometry enough for these fit and work correctly, at best with Krux I was able to use just the top bushing and not replace the stock barrel type they came with.

@solarpolar11
Thanks i was just makin sure
If these, were so goo,, why cant we get them anymore? By the way , i thought / think they are great. They came standard with my Aera trucks, but now i cant get them anywhere! GRRRRRR
HOFFART
what bushings if i weigh 290 lb ? most bushings survive 3 days...
SurvivalGames1 We would suggest that you go with the hards and maybe try out some riser pads so you don't get wheel bite
+SurvivalGames1 jesus christ 290
A Wooden Chair actually 275 lbs :-)
+SurvivalGames1
I've used the Hards w/Thunder Trucks and 54mm OJ Wheels, weighing at 237 bowls/parks/concrete flats (not so much street) lol

I have some of these and they are starting to get out of place
@theskatefiesta2: same here...
Uh guys I'm 12 and weigh 70 pounds what bushings should I get
Soft
That was just for the demonstration..
If u like loose trucks get the blue
