    Leo Bodnar are a great company to deal with,( I have no connection with them other than as a very satisfied customer).
    I rang them with an obscure question which they answered immediately, then must have thought of some extra useful info for me and called me back unprompted some time later. This sort of extra mile service is sadly rare these days, so I feel they deserve a thanks for going an extra mile.
    I use my dual output Bodnar to lock my Pluto on 40MHz, and my LNB on 25MHz, for QO100.

    This is awesome. I'd love to see how to calibrate an Airspy R2 using your GPSDO (maybe you could add that to the same video where you calibrate an SDRPlay). I love this channel!

    I use my leo bodnar for my IC-9700, and several other GPSDOs for Pluto's, WSPR, IC-7610, microwave gear.

    I use the dual Leo Bodnar 25Mhz for the LNB and the 40Mhz which i am going to use for the Pluto for the QO-100 DATV Portsdown transmitter....

    I use the dual channel one for my QO-100 station.
    It generates 25MHz for the LNB and 40MHz for the Lime SDR mini I use.
    It works very well, is super stable and starts up very fast.

      I have the dual channel one as well, what settings did you use? the closest I got was 45MHz?

      This combination isn't really a standard value that you can simply type in.
      I actually had the same issue of only getting 45MHz in combination with 25MHz.
      With the help of the Leo Bodnar support, I could get some manual PLL parameters, that achieve the combination needed.
      You can use these parameters:
      GPS: 390625
      N31: 4
      N2_HS: 6
      N2_LS: 8192
      N1_HS: 4
      NC1_LS: 30
      NC2_LS: 48
      Make sure these match:
      f3:97656.25Hz
      fOSC:4.8GHz
      Just type them in manually from top to bottom, worked first time for me.

    As alternative way - good 10 MHz OCXO as reference for PLL with two isolated 25 MHz output - one for LNB and the second for Pluto.
    Good frequency OCXO stability more than enough even for digital modes. Especially useful for the place with limited access to open sky for GPS antenna.

      Especially since the overall frequency accuracy isn't the primary concern as long as it is stable.

      @@JxH Frankly speaking I do not see a big fundamental difference between 10$ and 20$ for OCXO purchase, On my new board for ADALM Pluto I use 10 MHz OCXO from CTI (with preliminary ADEV checking) as a main reference signal and as an option I have a dedicated input for connecting an external 10 MHz reference signal, for example, from LeoBodnar GPSDO mini. The main problem was to get a clear 25 MHz signal from PLL with minimal phase noise degradation. Lesson learned - don't do VCXO inside Xilinx CPLD...

      @@JxH It is now, it was moved from 200KHz in 1988 (When I said the old days I meant really old days LOL).

      When I worked there, a daily task was to measure the drift on the 200KHz transmitter against 60KHz from MSF Rugby using an Evershed Chart recorder. Both MSF and Droitwich used local Rubidium standards, but MSF was also referenced to the Caesium standard at NPL. All the broadcast standards are now ultimately referenced to GPS.

    I have the dual output GPSDO, and I use it primarily as a reference source for my SunSDR 2 DX.

      Thanks for sharing this information, I’ve always wanted to try a SunSDR! Do you think the SunSDR really needs an external reference? Can you notice a difference without it? Thanks

      @@TechMindsOfficial Honestly, I'm using it more because I'm obsessed with precision regardless of necessity. The SunSDR is a brilliant platform with great software. I do see a difference when I turn the external reference on and off, but not on the order you were seeing with the Pluto.
      There are other reasons to use the external standard -- having multiple SDRs using the same reference allows you to do things like using phase differences to determine signal direction and the like.
      But mostly I did it because I could.

    Hello all, i get leo bodnar mini gps . For me nil, not running when put my adalm pluto on external clk, ok for internal, if i can have help for the config. i use adalm pluto and sdrconsole. when put external clk on config, i have no rx, no tx. my pluto is an rev C.

    I have installed the GPSDO module on my Adalm Pluto in order to improve stability when working digital modes on QO-100. I have followed the instructions in this video, connected the GPSDO to the Pluto clock plug, used the Mini GPS Clock configuration utility to program it to 40MHz output, then ssh-ed in the Pluto with the Putty and programmed it to listen to the outside clock. With the SDR console connected and the mini gps clock utility, I am switching off and back on the 'enable output' option but it makes no difference, the frequency does not change at all. In the Console SDR settings under Callibration I ticked the option 'enable updates' to no avail.

    In order to back Adam-Pluto into internal clock, is it enough to type the following command?
    #fw_setenv refclk_source internal
    and do I need to set external clock like "" or 10000000 ?

    Do you know if the output can be split and go to multiple devices if you had multiple SDR that can take clock input?

    Can you link together a hack rf to another hack hf via out to the in on the pluto as I have one of the temperature oscillator that you can plug directly into your hack r f board so then can I take that out the clock out and put it into my Pluto to take advantage of the clock in the Pluto as well as in they hack rf1 and will they be coherent at that point?

      It should be perfectly fine yes.
      Just keep in mind, that the GPSDO outputs a square wave so you might want to add a fitting lowpass filter, depending on what your radio expects.
      Also make sure that the amplitude is right.
      Other than that it should be capable of generating the reference for whatever you want.

    I think plutosdr will be able to transmit signals for GPS spoofing too right?

      That is less a question of the hardware (most somewhat capable SDRs with TX functionality can do that) but more a question of the right software.
      I don't think there is an off the shelf solution for the Pluto.
      Which to be honest is a good thing, since you can cause an immense amount of trouble by doing this anyway.
      Even mWs of power can have way more range than you want it to / that you can control.
      If you want to spoof some GPS thing, rather go the software way of simulating the whole receiver instead of generating a fake signal.
      ... which is counted as terrorism in most regions of the world ... just saying.

      @@copycarvers Good luck and I didn't try to offend you or anything, I just wanted to make sure you are aware of the dangers, since there are people out there doing stuff like this to spoof with some stupid mobile games and stuff. ;)
      For the HackRF, there is a pretty well documented GPS simulation workflow available, if you want to go this route. :)
