I had the SJ10 (not dual) and was fine with it until I compared it to a Gro Pro 8 which is about 2 years older. I realized how bad the SJ10 in terms of video quality/performance, stabilization and audio, and I sold it a few months ago. Replaced it with a Hero 11 and coudn't be happier with my upgrade. Either models (Hero 11 or any SJcam) can't be compared really in terms of performance, stabilization, microphone, image/video quality, and features. The Go Pro is just a million miles ahead of the action camera game.
An unusual test piece this one, the more affordable action cameras have been getting better with each new release in the last couple of years mainly due to the availability of improved and cheaper tech hardware, but in this case appears to have taken a backward step - very poor value for money - I have seen far better results from devices half the price. I can honestly see SJ pulling this one. As usual , great evaluation video. Regards.
sj10 pro bought me here, okey just sold my hero 9 for its overheating problem cant barely touch the camera after 5mins of recording ,considering also the laging. i found my hero 9 not to use of daily activities , i love my hero9 but didnt expect of its limits many issue.. for me i think this sj10 pro dual screen is a banger for hardcore acitivies without worrying the camera.
There's a big difference in colors on these cameras; the Gopro looks a bit on the 'warm' side to me, and the SJCam a bit on the 'cool' side (guess the 'reality' is somewhere in between). When it comes to IQ and stabilisation, there is no competition between these two. Imo all the recent SJcam flagship cameras all suffered from the same: trying too hard to look like a Gopro, and charging (way) too much for not getting it right.
Hello, I have the impression that the ROLLEI ACTIONCAM ONE camera and the SJCAM SJ10 PRO DUAL SCREEN have exactly the same technical characteristics, especially regarding accessories, and it's easier to find a ROLLEI battery than SJCAM in Europe.
Could you get your hands on an "Axnen AX8,9 or 10"? looking at some test footage looks like a good budget action camera that seems to be flying under the radar.
I have looked a lot on footage from many different cameras before I bought the best for me with price and quality. I use sport camera mainly for bicycle riding where stabilization is important. I have noticed that GO PRO from version 7 Black have good stabilization in super view mode that does not have rapid movement of image when shaking a lot. Lower version of GO PRO, for simple GO PRO 5 and 6 have also this problem with stabilization but from 7 black and above it is find. I have searched for cheaper chinese alternative like SJCAM and noticed that even the most expensive their camera have this problem with stabilization as we can see in this video, it looks like GO PRO 5 or 6 level. I mean when there is a lot of movement that SJCAM from time to time is moving very rapidly with image and GO PRO does it in smooth way which looks much better. So I have finally decided to buy second hand GO PRO 7 Black which is first camera with good stabilization and for me it is not big difference between GO PRO 7 and 11 when watching video because on 7 it is just enough good. I use this GO PRO 7 black for two years now and still there are no cheap chinese cameras with this level of stabilization. There is just OSMO action 3 that is also good with ultra view mode similar to go pro super view mode. If i had to buy camera i would think about some go pro from 7 black and above and maybe conside osmo action 3.
i have been purchased a sj10pro dual screen. some info for you, hope it can help. -if you can hold camera stable like a pro, don't turn on Gyro stabilizer (crop a bit) , and curve correction (crop a bit). You will have a sharp image with widest scene. - when turn on gyro and curve correction, x2 crop on image. so 1440p resolution minimum required! - must choose strong sharpness for normal image! (why!? sjcam!) 🙄😒 - when i fix iso max 800,ev -1/3, 1080p 60fps when outdoor recording, then switch to another resolution, the image go darker (why !? - again) 😭😭 -best setting for motovlog, daylight: iso max 800, strong sharpness, ev-1/3, 1080-60fps, gyro ON, curve correction ON.
Sir I am about to buy this camera in the next 10 days. Will be using it for recording train journeys both day and night. Will also using a SJCAM external mic. Could you suggest the correct settings? Also will using an external mic eliminate wind blast at 130-140 kmph, when the train is travelling at high speed? (Will be travelling in non-AC trains mostly. Also will be doing doorplating when in AC coaches). Also how well will the stabilization work at these speeds? Please help sir?
At the end of the day... actions cameras are made for durability from water/impacts and mountability for unique camera angle. Recently they've also done a good job at stabilization (although not particular camera) and offer dual screen (for easier self framing)... tradition action cameras are an increasingly niche product. IMO, 360 cameras are really where it's at... true you get significantly lower video quality (barely 1080p)... but the stabilization and unique camera perspectives (while still being relatively more durable to water/impact) are things you simply can't get with a phone.
@@RedskullPro I understand, but according to observations, sjcam sj10pro shoots better than go pro 8 and better than sjcam sj10pro dual screen. Thank you for the answer

In the name "Pro" for what? Not comparing to Gopro the SJ itself is not a good camera for its price I think. Apart from the stabilization weakness the resolution, sharpness, lights-shades dynamic range should be better. I expected better result :(
It seems SJCam are going backwards. This SJ10 Pro dual screen looks worse than the original Sj10 Pro! While I think the SJ might have more accurate colour reproduction in some ways, it is clearly beaten out of sight in every other area. The SJ looks blurred and out of focus a lot of the time, has inferior stabilisation and dynamic range and the audio sounded like you were talking out of a deep well! Yes, the GP11 is more expensive, but there are other better value cheap options than the SJ10 Pro dual screen.
I don’t even understand why they sent me this camera… there is literally nothing good to be said about it. As you said the previous sj10 pro was better in every way
I Agree the original sj10 pro the non dual screen version is better than the dual screen and it already received plenty of software updates. But we don't know maybe the dual screen sj10 pro might receive some software updates.
sj cam 10 pro shoots much worse than GoPro, obviously the frame quality is not 4k, but interpolation from FHD to 4k. Thanks for the comparative review, of course I won't take this, it's good that I ordered a GoPro 10, I hope it won't let me down.

video cameras from GoPro are all defective! Don't bake them! All of them have batteries that swell from overheating and they only work for 10-15 minutes, and then they turn off from heating!
I don’t think so. I have 3 GoPros, the 9, 10, 11. All work fine. You need to remove the battery from the camera if you plan on storing it for a longer time

What about overheating?
Compared to the GoPro, the SJCAM is trash! Terrible audio, blurry image, wrong colors and no stabilization!

SJCam....man that brings up memories.
Back in the day they were making decent cameras… for that time anyway

Yeah, sjcam was doing good about 3 -4 years ago. They seemed to be ahead in the budget action camera segment… but now.. not so much
In SJCAM one can change color balance from auto to manual.

The SJ10 Pro seems to be cropping in and actually chaning the crop on the video for balance and its very robitic

I’ll try and see if I can find a PR email contact and see if they want to send one over
This is comparable. How?
I have a feeling the SJ10 Pro would do way better if they had a better lens. It just looks like it can't resolve the image that well.
Insta360 X3 is more interesting, especially for vehicles and bikes because it also has a dashcam mode
Ur video recording is what is camera what name
needs to have that hypersmooth to competed, otherwise compare it to a hero 4 and under
