Nice video, I just got an old medium sized reference book from my local library for less than $2 that I'm going to use. It has tons of pages that I can glue together and then paint with medium to make the pages more sturdy to be able to personalise pages and each section divider.
Fabulous Video! You have now convinced me to add one into my life lol and you offered great tips on making it a bit less tedious! Cant wait to see your Midori now and what you do!
Hi Thank you for sharing I am starting mine faux hobonichi planner January 1st 2015. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Today is December 20th, 2014.
This tutorial is AMAZING! You have a lot of really great tips too. Love it! You've inspired me to try it for myself. I get intimidated with HAVING to do a page a day. And it bugs me to have blank pages. So what I'd do is create a cover page and 2 page month. Then using a date stamp, I'd just make a page as I go. Less prep time up front but like that I wouldn't have the empties making me feel guilty XD
Diana Guerrero Yes, that's a great idea! I love the idea of just using the pages as you need them! That's fab! Thanks for watching, glad it was helpful for you! xoxo
Wow, you went to so much work! Yours is so much more special and beautiful than Hobonichi, in my opinion, but I'd never have the patience to go to that much trouble. I'm thinking of looking for a nice daily diary to try it with.
The Artful Journey Thank you so much! I'm glad you like it. You're right, it was a lot of work! :) I haven't been using it too much lately so I'm glad I made my own instead of ordering and paying even more. Let me know how you like it if you make one! :)
Mae Badiyan I did make one! I chose a poor notebook to do it in, turns out, but it's still really great. I totally customized it. I'll have to do a little flip video or something. I'm really loving it!
I love this video. Lots of great tips. I'm on my third watch hehehe I agree with you on waiting to buy the real thing until you know you will actually use it. I did mine until December and if I stick with it until after Sepember I will order the 2015 english version :))
Hi - New subbie. You have put an amazing amount of work into your Hobonichi. Can you tell me, what is the difference between a Hobonichi and a Midori? Thanks.
PinkBlueStripe Thanks for subscribing! I appreciate it! I think they're totally different philosophies. The Hobonichi is a calendar / planner where you journal bits of your day. The Midori can be customized a lot more -- you can add blank journals or a calendar insert. Hope that helps! I'll have a video out soon talking about all the different books I'm using! :)
Love this tutorial! I will be watching again to set mine up! Thanks!
Yayyy! Glad it was helpful :) Please let me know when you get your set up, I would love to see it!
Enjoyed this very much! I love journaling, and decorating the pages makes it much more enjoyable. Love your channel !!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate all of your support! xo
