  • In this episode, Sayu Rinpoche started the day with an (almost) empty Piazza San Marco - which is rather rare, yet mesmerizing. Afterwards, Sayu Rinpoche joined the Secret Itinerary at Palazzo Ducale (Doge's Palace) for an exclusive tour of the section where Giacomo Casanova was imprisoned. Casanova also claimed that he escaped from there on his own......Wait, did he actually do that???

In this video, did you purchase two separate tours: Secret Itinerary and also Doge's Palace tour? We want to see the prison cells and the armory and wonder if we need to buy additional entry tickets for Dodge's Palace.

Hi! The secret itinerary tour would have already included the access to the rest of Doges Palace. I don't believe you'll need to purchase two separate tours!

I had a very small shoulder bag with me and it was fine. I imagine if you carry a large backpack, you'll probably be asked either to leave it in your hotel room or check it in at the cloakroom. You may want to check on their website or send them an email to confirm. FYI I don't remember seeing anyone with any backpacks inside when I was there ..

@@PaulDanciu Yes there is a baggage storage facility at Venezia Santa Lucia station and I've used it myself as well. Venice is very packed, especially the main tourist drag (but you can check out my other videos to see where the hidden gems with almost no tourists are!). Keep in mind that the only transportation options you have will be the vaporetti and water taxi. Otherwise you'll need to rely on your foot to go anywhere and I would certainly want to leave anything that I do not need for the day at the baggage storage.
