so is there a way to sell power yet in SS14? or is that something still in the works with coding? would be nice to be able to make cargo happy with surplus power creds so we can keep getting dangerous fuels and other toys in engineering
I understand it's simple to just rip apart the atmos system and pipe everything from the burn mix to the coolant directly into the TEG, But what if you can't do that? I've tried running it so many times by using the burn chamber, etc, but its stupid finicky I don't know, I've just wanted to run a closed loop system and get it to work.
@@Liltenhead I've learned: The bar on the middle of the TEG means nothing if there is another generator present. That means if you are running an AME or singularity, the TEG will limit its own power generation and make it look like it's not working. (Which was a big thing for me, because I thought if the TEG was not green that means I messed up) When it's in this "Non-working" state, the TEG will limit the amount of gas it actually reacts. That means the cold loop doesn't get hot and the hot loop doesn't get cold as fast, but you're still limited by gas slowly cooling down as it does otherwise.
@@rubles3143 --This was a few months ago (October maybe)-- construction: 1) Open a private server 2) create a massive grid of Hv cables and power sinks. 10x10 works 3) Set the SMES to automatically recharge using admin tools and connect the TEG exclusively to grid of power sinks 4) create a chamber with an injector and 3 ish passive vents (2x2works for a start) 5) create find a way to make a 50-50 tritium oxi (id recommend using gas miners. 6) wire the outputs of the vents individually into a passive gate and a manual valve then from that into a singular manual valve and passive gate and then into the hot side of the TEG. space the waste. *** the goal is to transport as much thermal energy as possible ***the hot gasses will push themselves through the hot side of the TEG 7) fill the cold loop with as many moles of frezon gas and get it as high pressure and as cold as possible. Utilize both regular and volumetric pumps. ***The goal is a high mole throughput. Operation: 1) fill the chamber with burn mix and ignite. wait till all the trit burns into water vapor 2) open the manual valve of one vent keep the rest closed, open the valve to the TEG hot input. once the throughput of the vent maxes out (read the passive gate) open the next and continue this prosses for all the vents in your setup. 4) make sure the the chamber don't go empty. (turn off vents via valves as necessary) 3) Profit Notes: This was before the atmos rework. My memory is iffy and I might have been inaccurate and my descriptions (apologies) I ran out of time and did not check if adding some frezon into the burn mix would allow you to squeeze more performance out by taking advantage of its heat capacity. I would be grateful if you share your experiences / findings
Yeah, sadly, there's not that much english servers in ss14, and if there are - they're hosted in US, and for me, as European - it's pretty bad, because we have a huge ping on US servers.
I don’t have a problem with the Russian servers, their guides in steam made me appreciate botany and paperwork a lot more, then litenhead made a vid about botany too and now is one of my favorite roles. There were also Russian servers on ss13 so is nothing new.

This isn't TOO complicated. Step one: pull up all the pipes and relay them in a totally different layout.

TEG doesn't overproduce so it practically wouldn't do anything if the AME was on as well.

I don't know if you were doing it so it was more readable but you can attach a heater on top of a straight pipe.

СРП может изменяться на разных серверах, да и будем честны - все так делали и будут делать.
