I bought the Tamron as soon as it was available and I love it. But we waited for Fuji lenses as well for a long time and then they opened their mount to Tamron.
Really refreshing to see a "top of their field" person like you not using overkill equipment just because you can. Makes me feel much better about being an R6 shooter!
The A7IV would likely be my first choice in the Sony lineup as well, I think that 33mp sensor is a sweet spot for an all-around'er body. Looking forward to Nikon's next few releases. Love the Z9 but I'm a huge fan of modular grips so I can carry heavy or light based on the day. That said, the FUJI BYUN16 will dominate the market. It's all anyone would ever need.
What a legend!!!The Fuji rocks lol glad to see you keep the A7IV got it too and is more than enough for commercial work. The bummer is to shoot 4K60 however, we can reframe it for the crop or use APSC lenses. Needless to say that the Sony ecosystem has more to choose from Tamron, Sigma, Rokinon plus GMs so no brainer in my opinion. Nice video btw as usual!Buddy, salutes from London.
A few days ago I put in a rental reservation for the Tamron 35-150 for a wedding this weekend. Tired of the dual camera carry. I hope I no longer need to do a Tamron 28-75 and a Sony 70-200 carry.
The lens Im excited about and finally may make me move to Sony from Nikon, is the upcoming Tamron 20 - 40 F2.8. My general focal range is 20 to 50mm but I reckon I can crop slightly at the 50 end.
For the last 20 years I have shot with Canon (before that Pentax, Minolta film). I had a 5D MkIV with several Canon and third party EF mount lenses but quickly went to the R5. I could not afford the Pro series L lenses so had to buy the plastic no weather sealed Canon RF lenses. The adapter for the EF lenses mostly works but the overall package is bulky, losing the RF compact lens design advantage. This all adds to the weight for traveling. So, since Canon will not support third party lenses for the RF mount I will be switching my whole eco system to Sony. Curiously Sony acquired Minolta back in the distant past so I will be going full circle (errr... but not to Pentax).
I have done exactly the same as this. R3 was nice, but completely over the top for weddings. The A7IV is the first ever Sony I have had, and i love it, and actually prefer the autofocus, the size & weight and the setup.

I’m probably the only person who love the A74, maybe because I upgraded from A73 so that little bit of improvement in the EVF and screen resolution was enough. I mainly shoot 35 so that crop in 4K isn’t a big deal. Still can’t get myself to get use that Tamron 35-150 though, I love my 35 GM too much.

Was the screen on high? But yah. Evf is not great on it.
How much smaller are the R5 craws, I’m curious.
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto Hey Taylor, yes it was on high. If you are shooting indoors the A7IV screen is fine but I have mostly noticed the difference shooting outdoors. As for the R5 craw files..they're cut in half around 20-25MB per raw image. I personally have not noticed any image quality differences between craw and raw other than files size which is great. Now that the R5 has "fixed" its overheating issue I would definitely give it a shot. Cheers
Man you are funny😄 golf ball.
It’s so soft and nice. I wish every shutter was a rubber golf ball
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto ok I Fell you but what if there would be a rubber… three dots to keep you on your own UA-cam channel (LOL) … a rubber pizza shutter button 🤗 thx and have a great day
so you want us to fund your trip for a workshop? lol
If I just wanted free trips I’d do brand deals and force garbage photography products upon everyone. This isn’t like that. It’s actually super valuable and honestly people are lucky that the Focal team sets this up for no profit and reinvests all the profits back into the event to make it even better
I'll for more updates on systems so i could actually decide which is which for my upgrade, for now sticking wih my Canon 6dii. but my choice is sony and canon r5. will wait for canons policy on 3rd party lens
