I'd watched the sitcom Modern Family before this and straight away recognised Joe (played by Jeremy Maguire) who I know of as a giggly, playful, delightfully naughty person who's always joking around with other actors on set. I couldn't shake that image from my mind haha. I reckon he would've been a little bit more (or a lot more) shy here since he's younger. I think he was still figuring out the introduction to film/TV acting here and so literally he had his acting coach giving him directions off screen during filming (and you can tell when this happens because Jeremy looks in different directions or makes sad/confused faces suddenly in certain scenes ahah).
why is everyone saying they don't understand this movie, it made sense for the whole movie, nearly invisible demon driving people to suicide from seeing their worst fears from which only they can see and hallucinate, ex: seeing your friends and family dead in front of you. some people were used like zombies from the demon to make others confront and see the demon. blind were immune ofcourse because they can't see it. insane people were immune because they already see their own demons. birds were a sign of showing danger which is a natural reaction. i'm pretty sure for a fictional movie that the demon came from hell or another dimension to the overworld, maybe it could have been summoned.
The thing is where did they come from? And it never made sense why they were safe inside. Like couldn’t those so called creatures just go into your house every time they opened the doors? The ending sucked and didn’t explain anything such as how they were going to deal with these creatures. They’re not even truly safe. Any second those psychos could come and kill them. Don’t even get me talking about that stupid outdoor courtyard where you could see light from the leaves. Such a massive plot hole there.

actually a quiet place is almost a carbon copy of "the silence" by Tim Lebbon. That book came out before the movie. The only noticeable difference being the monsters in the story were prehistoric birds, and how it ends. everything else is pretty much copied and paste. Bird Box is a good book too. If you like that then check out The Silence

I'm going to say that this movie is about how many of us walk through this world blind. Even though we have vision, we dont take the time to see what's in front of us. We stop ourselves from actually seeing the invisible monsters that's keeping us away from fixing our issues, our trauma, our healing, remember to love our family, etc. We hold it all until we have break down, a complete crisis.

I'm going to say that this movie is about how many of us walk through this world blind. Even though we have vision, we dont take the time to see what's in front of us. We stop ourselves from actually seeing the invisible monsters that's keeping us away from fixing our issues, our trauma, our healing, remember to love our family, etc. We hold it all until we have break down, a complete crisis.
