That's one pretty aquarium set-up. I'm assuming there's some plumbing hooked up for water changes...I can't imagine doing that every week with a bucket and siphon hose. I really wish I could make my little 36 gallon a planted tank, but my big old Silver Dollars see live plants as a big buffet table.

Vielen Dank für das Lob. Solange eine CO² Regelung in betrieb ist wird das Kohlendioxid was ja mehr oder weniger ausgetrieben wird nachgeführt. Da kaum sichbare Strömungen im Becken sind (wir sprechen von 6m) muss gewährleistet werden das selbst bei defekten Pumpen die Membranpumpen weiterlaufen und es zu keinem Sauerstoffproblem kommt. Die Pflanzen produzieren nur Tagsüber Sauerstoff der aber auch gleich durch den Filter aufgefressen wird.
Traumhaft !!! Da hat mal einer endlich aus einem großen Aquarium eine natürliche Unterwasserlandschaft gezaubert... und nicht nur so große Fische wie möglich reingepackt. Wunderbar ! Aalle Achtung, bist zu beneiden. Lieben Gruß Babs
Hab das Projekt damals im Internet verfolgt wirklich Gigantisch. Wobei mir persönlich ein weniger langes, dafür etwas tiefer- und höheres Becken besser gefallen hätte
Hallo Holger, das Becken selbst ist Klasse keine Frage nur deine Diskus zeigen farblich deutliche Zeichen von Unwohlsein und körperlich zum Teil enorme Defizite.Die Beckengrösse ist da ev ein Nachteil,das die Tiere nicht genug Futter bekommen oder in der Wachstumsphase bekommen haben. Sonst ein super eingerichtetes Becken was bei der Grösse nicht so einfach ist Struktur hinein zu bekommen.Toll gemacht.

Very nice,but those Discus didn't last long did they?..Water quality is not what they like. For the rest it's a great home for life. Might try the bigger Altum Angels.

One tip: Get a strong pond pump..magnetic drive to make a good current in that tank..something up to 2,000+ gph for something that big. The fish and even plants will thank you!
Actually my doubt is which glass used! as to temperature, probably heating the part where is the aquarium with splits or air conditioning, something !, because I believe that not to heat all this aqua otherwise !, at least not without spending a lot of electric power !.often more than one split !.

Wirlick verdammt schön! Ob einem der Fischbesatz so zusagt ist natürlich Geschmackssache. Mit gefällt es sehr! Gute Arbeit! Darf ich fragen, wie deine Pflanzen auf soviel Wasser sooo gut wachsen und ausschauen? Kippst du da 1l Dünger die Woche rein und hast 20kg CO2 Flaschen dahinter? ^^
das Aquarium ist schon beeindruckend.. Nur die kleinen Salmler an der Oberfläche tun mir leid, die Skalare sind ja ständig hinter denen her...Warum hast Du Sprudelsteine laufen, den Sauerstoff sollten die Pflanzen liefern. Der Sprudelstein ist eher kontraproduktiv, eine Strömungspumpe für das große Becken wäre sicher sinnvoller. Sonst Top !
