if you are real filipino you will appreciate the beauty of sikaran.the movement are fast and its fun 2 watch.and we could say to the world that we filpinos'have our own identity ,when it comes to martial arts.filipino martial arts is the best.filisikaran and arnis.
It goes very fast and those guys is the real deal and also my Mentors for 5 years. Kali Sikaran is a mix of different filipino styles, panantukan boxing, sikaran kicking, dumog "wrestling, filipino muy thai, sticks and blades etc. Look up your local fma school regardless of style if interested, any is good in its own way. mabuhay ang philippines.
Filipinos living in pinas focus on foreign MA, etc. to ignore the lifestyle and wanted to adopt other nationalities (social, or social climber). FMA, Arnis, Kali is famous here in US. Movie industries are focused on the pinoy arts for effectiveness. We pinoys who are living outside pinas are craving for everything the land has to offer. I grew up here in US and still I proudly pump my fist on my heart and say I'm pinoy.
arnis is part of the educational system. i took arnis as part of my physical education requirement at University of Santo Tomas in Manila back in 1993.
Skalberg has brutal moves and is a very good kind trainer. Also the other guy in the first karambit part is so savage and effective. Imagine the sheer speed if it was not a exhibition show!!
@jensi18 are you taliking about this or kali open hand overall, because if thats the case then your obviously igorant.i have been in a fight and i'm not trying to be arogent or anything but panantukan, mano mano or any other open hand like kuntaw and eskrima empty hand works pretty good especially compared to wing chun, krav maga and akido which don't do too well compared to empty hand fma. :) i've been in a fight and i'm pretty sure you nobody to say that i have never been in one. cheers :)
still hitting opponents arms, blocking it while launching attacks, etc. is pretty good; we all seen the bourne movies and know how it looks; I can't find a reason why UFC fighters don't train for Kali combinations, a modified version of it atleast;
majaphit is an ancient empire located in south east asia and philippines or southern part of philippines is da center of it. also da sri vhijayan empire where lapu2x bloodlines came from
@InnovationHero the Dogbrothers (who are doing Pekiti Tirsia by the way) applied for the ufc, but where friendly turned down by the Television guys because it would have been to brutal. You can read the answer letter somewhere on their URL
Foreign martial arts dominate the Philippines. I just hope Filipinos would give time to FMA's like ARNIS, KALI and YAW YAN... Foreigners realizes its effectiveness, I just hope someday Filipinos will..
don't worry i'm not a racist like other people. I'm also a Filipino training in FMA. Though I haven't started training in Arnis/kali yet.. I don't even like imported martial arts hehe... By the way.. Do you know where to find Master Rodel Dagooc..?
Exactly. The reason they are doing it slow is to show the technique. in a real life situation they probably would go fast and do only half those techniques.
If they want some real action without slow motion I suggest go here in philippines ang challenge street fighting or go here in one of the dojo and challenge them.
That one guy had some sick knife skills! Looked really cool ;P But let's be honest, the hand to hand combat part, does not work in real life. It just doesn't.
You dumbass. Filipino streets are filled with knife users. They rarely use guns here. Knives and bolos are common, everyday items people carry for practical uses such as farmwork. We need to learn how to defend ourselves from such attacks this is why this was created long before spaniards came. Go get educated.
@@SpiderMan-ni8ek u may heard this like him. Kali dosnt work in real life. But the thing is, kali is only ment for real life. Kali is what famelies used for a long time to protect themselfs im real situasions.
@MANoWAR So you believe in what she said, haha idiot she is not martial arts for you believe him, that's not work in real life when you are nervous to face off your opponents, Because you lose your concentration, And you do not know you're random attack, And she is hater, So i am just saying, Do not warfreak psssttt,
shame on me! this foreigners know cali and i don't. i think the phil govt. should promote locally the filipino combat systems (kali, eskrima, arnis and panantukan) the way the korean govt supports taekwondo and japan, karate, aikido and judo. fcs should be part of the phys. educ courses like arnis.

I gotta love this art (or combination of arts), it looks fancy yet useful, very nice moves, at least this vid.
arnis is part of the educational system. i took arnis as part of my physical education requirement at University of Santo Tomas in Manila back in 1993.
Skalberg has brutal moves and is a very good kind trainer. Also the other guy in the first karambit part is so savage and effective. Imagine the sheer speed if it was not a exhibition show!!
youre right. the guy with the kerambit is Jeff Espinous, he also does Pencak Silat.
@jensi18 yes it does. it works in street fights and real fights, unlike boxing, muay thai and bjj
The second group was amazing I love to her incredible tegnica HCAA I'd like to learn why
Excellent
I just hope someday Filipinos will realize it's effectiveness and appreciate it. That's what I mean.

still hitting opponents arms, blocking it while launching attacks, etc. is pretty good; we all seen the bourne movies and know how it looks; I can't find a reason why UFC fighters don't train for Kali combinations, a modified version of it atleast;

best part was the Indonesian Kerambit... that part was Pencak Silat not Kali.
Agreed. ¬_¬
no need to all filipinos to learn of proper training of kali coz filipinos has it on ther bloodlines of warriorship like manny pacquiao
It's a Show. If you would do it realistic and fast people couldn't see what the were doing.
