it's nice to know that it's been over ten years since death note came out but there are still people creating content for this masterpiece.
I know right! when I watched it I just KNEW I needed to make an animatic for this song!

I don’t know why but this animation made me realize how damn impressive it is that L knew almost from the beginning that Light was Kira. He gathered the region immediately after starting investigating, then deduced it was a high schooler based off timings. Light got arrogant and changed the timings just to say “so what are you gonna do about it?” And that gave L the information that it’s someone connected to the police department, specifically someone working on the Kira case. Narrowed it down to one guy over the course of what? A week or two? They were just missing concrete evidence.
L is so much smarter that Light, he only lost because he had to go by the laws and bide time until he had solid evidence to convict him.
I think the fact that literal supernatural forces were at play made his job a little harder. Like I can drive my car pretty well, but you introduce driving while supernatural beings moved the cars around, and I'm going to assume there is a bit of a learning curve!
It was also Lights intention to have L investigate the police, and vice versa :3
L never actually followed the law tho, it is stated in the manga that if L was to ever be judged by the law then he will be charged with several crimes
edit - also it was clearly mentioned it was light's plan to get L close to him so he can eliminate him, if L never narrowed down the list of suspects to only a few people including light then light couldn't have met him and eliminated him, that's the very reason he continued to give more and more information regarding the death note and himself
The animation is really good. I liked the fathers reaction when he said "But if you ask me here and now i'm pretty sure Kira is your son." I also really like the emotion you add into them and how they look. Great job I know I am probably gonna watch it again.
