LOVE MY 2023 LINCOLN AVIATOR! I did a lot (and I mean a lot) of research before ordering this luxury SUV. We are GM people and since 1999 have driven 2 Suburbans, 1 Yukon XL, and our latest...a 2015 Yukon XL Denali. I am a brand loyalist and did not really expect to move away from GM BUT on a trip to Boston a few years back the rental company gave us a Lincoln Nautilus and it was so much fun to drive. I saw the 2020 Aviator when it rolled out and thought it was striking. We don't get new vehicles often, and honestly with our active lives and 3 children (baseball, softball, and ALL the other activities) needed the full size SUV. On a trip to Colorado this past March I wanted to rent an Aviator but they did not have one available, so I asked for a Range Rover. I enjoyed driving the Range Rover and considered it for our next purchase, but I just kept coming back to the Aviator. Then my brother bought a BMW X5 and I drove it and enjoyed riding around with him in it.....but I kept coming back to the Aviator. I wanted to buy and experience American luxury! Finally, I test drove the only Aviator on the lot at Planet Lincoln in Spring, TX and I was blown away. The acceleration, the handling, the interior, the Revel stereo system....all of it was awesome and I was sold on it. I pre-ordered a 2023 before I left. That was May 26th and a mere 3 months later, my custom-built black 2023 Lincoln Aviator Black Label AWD, chalet interior with all the bells and whistles came! We picked it up Saturday, August 27th and had the best experience. The drive home (about 2 hours) was so much fun!! It handles so well and feels so responsive and comfortable, and the massaging seats felt sooooo good. LOVE the lighting, both interior and exterior and the way the Lincoln bows and greets with the "light show" you when you walk up to it! The lighted Lincoln badge in the front is such a nice touch and the adaptive lighting when you are turning curves was really bright! The 28 speaker Revel speaker system makes you feel like you are in the front row of a concert and the little demonstration that is available in the "Sound" app on the infotainment system blew us away! The kids keep commenting on the huge sunroof and how sporty the car is. They love the big console in the back and how they can control the music. Also neat how the second and third rows have their own separate AC/heating controls. My father-in-law even liked it, and he is a GM man only who said we would regret buying a Lincoln/Ford product. I am hopeful that all of the kinks from the initial release of the 2020 model have been worked out. I know the Navigator has been a dependable vehicle over the years and I would expect nothing less on the 4th year edition of the Aviator. I'm so happy that Lincoln has such a beautiful automobile in their lineup. We could have bought anything, including a Cadillac Escalade, but for us the Lincoln Aviator checked all the boxes!
I wanted something “sportier” and really just prefer the looks of the Aviator over the Navigator. I do wish that the Aviator had the Activeglide (self driving) like the Navigator, but the 360 co-pilot is awesome too. You can take your hands off the wheel for a bit but it will tell you to put your hands back on the steering wheel. Still a great feature!
@@jasonduplichain100 Ahh I see. I agree the Aviator looks far more sleek, sportier, and sexier. I’d take it over the navigator too. I really dislike the rear taillights and chrome peace on the Navigator. But I do prefer the interior a little more with the updated screens and more room.
@@ayushmalpeddi2793, I agree...sleeker, sportier, sexier. Also, I'm glad on the Aviator that they have hidden the wind shield wiper on the back. Small detail, but just looks cleaner.
Thank you for this review. The Black Labels are top notch. However, I think the Aviator is good choice regardless of its class. This is the comment I was looking for. I've been eyeing luxury vehicles for the past 5 years...went from Infinity to Lincoln, and then Lincoln to Lexus.
@John Sabp dear angry 😠 plastic is used extensively in the ENTIRE auto industry. Ever been in a Tesla, Mercedes-Benz, Bently, or a McLaren? PLASTIC Everywhere. Now, back to the original post - the vehicle is stunning and messaging arse right now!
Lincoln is making a big comeback, i've always loved Lincolns growing up. I like how Lincoln uses real names for it's cars such as the Aviator, Naivigator, Corsair and Nautilus, and Continental. They really outdid themselves with the Aviator!!
They just killed the game hands down. This is something I would most definitely sport. Your review just made this SUV shine like the stars. Great job my friend, great job 👏
Something a lot of people miss, and it took me awhile to find as well, but at night with the ambient lights on, any door you open , that light will turn red. The others stay their assigned color . When the door closes, it’s back to the original color
I was not fun of American car, but now change my mind, this is really impressive and brutally good SUV, glad to see American car makers turn answer to world competition! Well done job Lincoln!
We have the 2020 Aviator Reserve II with all the options and Captains in the second row. All black. Purchased Nov 2019. Didn't buy it from a Black Label dealer so we didn't have that trim choice. It's a Sept build so it didn't come with all the issues that the earlier builds did except for the rear lift gate motors..which were replaced under warranty. We negotiated the list from 76k and change down to 71k and absolutely love the car with no regrets so far. The Revel system is wonderful and the engine is plenty powerful for this big SUV. We went there looking to get the new Explorer and drove off with the Aviator. 0% interest was a nice selling point too :)
This is a great truck and 80K isn’t ridiculous if it had a star or roundel on the hood or even the 4 rings it would be 95-100K as there competing trucks are

It looks too much like a station wagon for me with the regular size wheels. But, I saw one on 24’s and THAT looked amazing. But, I loved the interior. I prefer the Range Rover screen that’s not sticking straight up out of the dash, but I could live with it.
Wow!!!! great review this car is luxury for a great price. Honestly your getting a 100k car for 80k well maybe after taxes and everything it comes closer to 95 OTD but still if won the lottery this is the vehicle I would buy.
I just celebrated 30 days ownership of Black Label Aviator GT (that's the hybrid model) with all options ($90K sticker). The dealer has put more miles on the vehicle than I due to two separate warranty claims, check engine light, and other items. The local non Black Label dealer won't service the vehicle. I am quite surprised that Lincoln cares more about conducting customer satisfaction surveys and building the hype than delivering a vehicle without defects.
Very nice, we had the Aviator many years ago and although not perfect we liked it for the 4 years we had it. That being said, although this model is very nice and a huge leap from the old models I do not see 80k for it, I just don’t.
