I wanna sell t shirts and for every 10000 t-shirts I sell I will tally one extra minute on to a gorilla boxing event with no rounds and no refs, and I will be the guy with 0 training fighting the gorilla in just enough armor to live but not enough to live well if it lasts a while. The real reason to buy up all the shirts is that I am not allowed to do anything to hurt the gorilla, the only move I am allowed is that I can poke it in the nose and say "no" really loudly. No medical interference till the timers done, except to throw down jugs of water and the gorilla can contest me for them no breaks. My goal is to starve to death fighting a gorilla to feed my family so 0 people can shit talk me at the funeral.

Didn't stop me from respecing in classic. In TBC we get a lot more raw gold which means gold will be less valuable and the respec cost will also be less of an issue. I am all for dual specs brining 2 PvE specs to raids and respecing for PvP would be awesome.
I'm thinking they're gonna give Sylvanas a Darth Vader-style redemption. If she doesn't die in the raid I could see her turning on the jailer and getting obliterated trying to save Anduin.

That's what I think. I also assume the Jailer's gonna win in 9.1 and claim the other covenant leader keys, then by 9.2, we go to the Planes of Life for aid, and in 9.3, we save Anduin, Sylvanas dies, and we defeat the Jailer.

Rather play on a dead server then deal with not being able to play the game because I can't afford the materials to craft the strong BC crafted gears because I don't have 100k gold to drop on it.

Dual spec was one of the big changes that I would have been cool with in Classic. Would love to see it in TBC. Re-speccing with gold everytime gets super old super fast.
Yeah especialy for hybrid classes, having to visit a class trainer and pay 50 gold every time you wanna tank or heal almost defeats the purpose of hybrid classes.
I'd like dual spec. was a huge hassle back in the day to change like 5 talents every week on my warrior for tremendous amounts of gold to be able to play pvp and pve.
Yep, that's what I'm going to do, get the booster and get OP lock for gold farming in a PvP realm, there's going to be so much inflation because of this boost that botting is going to be out of control and will cause even more inflation, big domino effect.

I think dual spec would be a really good thing for casual player. It will probably help for a more decent pvp experience. Im planning to warrior tank in tbc and play a warlock. Im more of a casual player and wont have the tine to farm gold to respect my 2 character everytime i wont to pvp with them. If we have dual spec im sure everyone will win. More people in bg and probably more people in pve. Probably the hardcore player wont agree but i think the majority of tbc player will be more casual then real hardcore. Happy to hear your thoughts about all this, Zack. Just from what I've read, the boost is sadly supposed to be payed as well, though if they've changed it this way it'll be much better.
We need to have an exclusive Mount Dungeon, where the bosses drop equipment which can upgrade our Mount speed by using saddles/spurs/reins, etc. You get the idea! Think of how the Pet Dungeons worked, but with enemies which attack the player's select Mount which could have its' own background, mount species/family, special abilities, and even combine their "Ultimate" attacks with other player's mounts to unleash Duel and Triple Ultimates! It could be like a Boss Rush mode with waves like Missions sort of with Followers, but instead we get to activate the combo of skills like a DDR - Dance Dance Revolution style rhythm game, push up/down/left/right to input the combo remotely or something. I think it could save Shadowlands. Maybe the Mounts can also have their own Covenant Signature "Ultimates" and Mount Family (think of the old UI for Hunter pet) Skill Trees.
Not going to happen, only new servers coming is only for classic wow. Those aren't going to be fresh because a lot of people just going to copy over their 60s.

Asmond even mentioned it towards the end of the video that people should be able to transfer their accomplishments over. Plus this only make sense because people carry everything over when new expansion release anyways so why shouldn't it apply in this situation. Yeah I understand the market prices are going to be scuffed on valuable items, but it's also a way to make money if you get your hands on them too. As much as a lot of people would like some sort of a reset button (fresh server) it won't happen at least for now. Don't let that change your mind about playing. Have fun, enjoy the leveling.
I hope they do create new fresh realms before or at the day of TBC release, the economy reset is the thing that most normal players look forward to the most, playing with absolutely loaded people in tbc where crafting is so important at start will get old super fast.
The economy will be dogshit yes but many people are looking for nostalgia and experience the opening of the dark portal with the character they invested in so much. I am not against an economy reset but this was probably same in the og tbc, only people didn’t know the game as well as today.

To comment on the boost thing I completely agree with you on every point you made. During the announcement of the boost to 58, I was so mad but then I remember about mage boosting and how much effect that had on classic WoW leveling. My causal friends were so demotivated to keep playing by level 40 cause they couldn't get a dungeon group going for 2-4 hours cause of the boosters. I think people boosting other people is really bad for the game since it probably has a lot of relation with rmt (real money trading) and it doesn't promote legit dungeon groups neither. But the same thing is gonna happen with paladins in TBC they are gonna be the new boosters and I hope the 58 boosts will at least combat that method of making gold.
I'm all for duel specing that's currently in retail for TBC! Sure it's about keeping the integrity of the game but let's be real, duel specing should of been in the game from the start. I want to play a blood elf paladin but not be locked into protection because that's the only way to get a group. I want to hop better ret and prot on the fly depending on the content I want to do.
Seal of the Martyr was the Alliance version of Seal of Blood introduced in Wrath of the Lich King Seal of Vengeance was the Alliance only seal that put a stacking dot up to 5 stacks on the enemy, it outdamaged Seal of the Righteous so tank Paladins used it but not by a ton so Horde Prot Pallies still used Seal of the Righteous as their go to damage seal to similar effect. Seal of Corruption was the Horde's variation on Seal of Vengeance come Wrath of the Lich King.
I hope people remember BC isnt no where near big as vanilla, Raids, Map, Levels, Quests etc etc... BC could get boring very quickly, totally different to classic
Classic will still be there, essentially! Leveling alts will still have all of that content, and raids can still be done on classic or even BC servers. BC is basically Classic with more stuff to do at the end-game
Arena is probably the only thing that will keep people around. I agree once people do their heroic dungeons and the raid a few times it will get old quick.
Isn't the point of hybrid classes that you can actually play two different playstyles in one build? But I'm talking from a feral point of view, maybe paladins or shamans aren't as flexible. But personally I have had a good time tanking, dpsing and in some cases healing with the same spec throughout classic. Wouldn't dual-spec make EVERY class sort of a hybrid class? Warriors can dps and deep prot, priests can go shadow and holy. Of course, dps classes would still only switch between different flavours of dps. In any case, what I am personally liking about hybrid classes (druid, specifically) is that you can carry around gear sets for any role you might be required for, and fulfill that role at least decently outside of raids. Dual-spec might "cheapen" that hybrid experience, you aren't really 90% one thing and 10% the other thing, but instead 100% both at the same time, you know what I mean?

Dual Spec is fine as long as it's basically a second template you can unlock at your trainer. Saving bars, exact talents, etc. But it shouldn't be the WotLK kind of you can swap out your character for another role inbetween pulls, that would require most people to effectively play two roles.
I surely think dual spec will be more prominent. BC really brings value to more and more specs within a raid situation and when combined with the sizing down of the raids, I think lots of people will have to respec for raids

I personally do think that dual spec would be a good thing, the tbc private server I played on had it and it was absolutely amazing. Not having to respec just to be able to do a couple arena matches greatly lowers the barrier to entry. In addition to the pvp benefits, it also improves the player experience for healers a lot. I remember back in TBC while playing a healer, doing dailies sucked so much more for me than for other people who were playing dps specs.
I like how they realize that having power gains between factions is a problem for tbc (seals), but Shadowmeld is still unchanged and Covenants still exist. Though the latter is a more scaled down version of that, being not able to swap covenants was the original design intention. Also, Mechagnome racial still is 30-40 dps ahead of the second best one
for longevity of tbc I think dual spec would be good. On smaller servers tanks would be easier to find and people will be more willing to play other roles to fill out a group

They have changed plenty already, I think dual spec would be a good utility to add-in. Most of the appeal of Classic was the server population being a known quantity. If you are a jerk your name got around. Granted remembering how nuts 40 man raiding could be was a nice reminder of how slimming down the groups wasn't the worst thing ever!
Ive played on BC servers that offered dualspec, its always been a nice thing, definitely makes the PVP scene more alive when raiders can just swap really quick, now that might not be the case anyway cuz if gold is gonna be inflated anyway the respec cost isnt as harmful aswell.

Also, she is well past the point of redemption, but if she ultimately helps us deal with Zovaal so she can fulfill her goal, it would be...something. This would also save her character for future use.
In WotLC, who was sad that DK's didn't start at lvl1? For most folks playing upcoming TBC, it won't be their first rodeo. I think a one time boost is fine. edit: Also, I'm not nostalgic about 50g respec to heal and quest on one character, it was a sucky tax on non-dps.
As someone who grew up playing TBC, but now has a career, a family, a very busy life, I very much appreciate the one time boost. I would not be able to play TBC end game without this.
The debate between dual spec and not, I think maybe a decent compromise would be being able to respec for free. You'd still have to go to a city, and fill out your whole trees so it might deter people from doing it every 5 seconds. But you also wouldn't be poor or feel bad about changing specs for fun whenever you're bored.

If you actually look at the site for the TBC release they say that players have a one time account boost for one character to be level 58 so they don't have to start from 1.

Yep, that's what I'm going to do, get the booster and get OP lock for gold farming in a PvP realm, there's going to be so much inflation because of this boost that botting is going to be out of control and will cause even more inflation, big domino effect.

I think dual spec would be a really good thing for casual player. It will probably help for a more decent pvp experience. Im planning to warrior tank in tbc and play a warlock. Im more of a casual player and wont have the tine to farm gold to respect my 2 character everytime i wont to pvp with them. If we have dual spec im sure everyone will win. More people in bg and probably more people in pve. Probably the hardcore player wont agree but i think the majority of tbc player will be more casual then real hardcore. I might be wrong but i think its like that now this days. Really good video by the way asmon!

Happy to hear your thoughts about all this, Zack. Just from what I've read, the boost is sadly supposed to be payed as well, though if they've changed it this way it'll be much better.
We need to have an exclusive Mount Dungeon, where the bosses drop equipment which can upgrade our Mount speed by using saddles/spurs/reins, etc. You get the idea! Think of how the Pet Dungeons worked, but with enemies which attack the player's select Mount which could have its' own background, mount species/family, special abilities, and even combine their "Ultimate" attacks with other player's mounts to unleash Duel and Triple Ultimates! It could be like a Boss Rush mode with waves like Missions sort of with Followers, but instead we get to activate the combo of skills like a DDR - Dance Dance Revolution style rhythm game, push up/down/left/right to input the combo remotely or something. I think it could save Shadowlands. Maybe the Mounts can also have their own Covenant Signature "Ultimates" and Mount Family (think of the old UI for Hunter pet) Skill Trees.
I really hope they add fresh servers, so i dont have to compete with people who already have 100k gold

If tbc, then it is what it is. Asmond even mentioned it towards the end of the video that people should be able to transfer their accomplishments over. Plus this only make sense because people carry everything over when new expansion release anyways so why shouldn't it apply in this situation. Yeah I understand the market prices are going to be scuffed on valuable items, but it's also a way to make money if you get your hands on them too.
As much as a lot of people would like some sort of a reset button (fresh server) it won't happen at least for now.

I hope they do create new fresh realms before or at the day of TBC release, the economy reset is the thing that most normal players look forward to the most, playing with absolutely loaded people in tbc where crafting is so important at start will get old super fast.
The economy will be dogshit yes but many people are looking for nostalgia and experience the opening of the dark portal with the character they invested in so much. I am not against an economy reset but this was probably same in the og tbc, only people didn’t know the game as well as today.
It's great experience for people that did not play through classic but for a veteran like me it's like going to school all over again.

To comment on the boost thing I completely agree with you on every point you made. During the announcement of the boost to 58, I was so mad but then I remember about mage boosting and how much effect that had on classic WoW leveling. My causal friends were so demotivated to keep playing by level 40 cause they couldn't get a dungeon group going for 2-4 hours cause of the boosters. I think people boosting other people is really bad for the game since it probably has a lot of relation with rmt (real money trading) and it doesn't promote legit dungeon groups neither. But the same thing is gonna happen with paladins in TBC they are gonna be the new boosters and I hope the 58 boosts will at least combat that method of making gold.

I'm all for duel specing that's currently in retail for TBC! Sure it's about keeping the integrity of the game but let's be real, duel specing should of been in the game from the start. I want to play a blood elf paladin but not be locked into protection because that's the only way to get a group. I want to hop better ret and prot on the fly depending on the content I want to do.

Seal of the Martyr was the Alliance version of Seal of Blood introduced in Wrath of the Lich King
Seal of Vengeance was the Alliance only seal that put a stacking dot up to 5 stacks on the enemy, it outdamaged Seal of the Righteous so tank Paladins used it but not by a ton so Horde Prot Pallies still used Seal of the Righteous as their go to damage seal to similar effect.
Seal of Corruption was the Horde's variation on Seal of Vengeance come Wrath of the Lich King.
I hope people remember BC isnt no where near big as vanilla, Raids, Map, Levels, Quests etc etc... BC could get boring very quickly, totally different to classic

Classic will still be there, essentially! Leveling alts will still have all of that content, and raids can still be done on classic or even BC servers. BC is basically Classic with more stuff to do at the end-game
Arena is probably the only thing that will keep people around. I agree once people do their heroic dungeons and the raid a few times it will get old quick.

Isn't the point of hybrid classes that you can actually play two different playstyles in one build? But I'm talking from a feral point of view, maybe paladins or shamans aren't as flexible. But personally I have had a good time tanking, dpsing and in some cases healing with the same spec throughout classic. Wouldn't dual-spec make EVERY class sort of a hybrid class? Warriors can dps and deep prot, priests can go shadow and holy. Of course, dps classes would still only switch between different flavours of dps.
In any case, what I am personally liking about hybrid classes (druid, specifically) is that you can carry around gear sets for any role you might be required for, and fulfill that role at least decently outside of raids. Dual-spec might "cheapen" that hybrid experience, you aren't really 90% one thing and 10% the other thing, but instead 100% both at the same time, you know what I mean?

Dual Spec is fine as long as it's basically a second template you can unlock at your trainer. Saving bars, exact talents, etc.
But it shouldn't be the WotLK kind of you can swap out your character for another role inbetween pulls, that would require most people to effectively play two roles.
I surely think dual spec will be more prominent. BC really brings value to more and more specs within a raid situation and when combined with the sizing down of the raids, I think lots of people will have to respec for raids

Good call on one time 58 boost. I can imagine many players would not be willing to play TBC solely because of the classic leveling.
Then they shouldn't play; it's not the game for them. Retail is their game if they can't handle some lvling. There will now be many who won't play TBC because of the ridiculous boost. Pay to win is so game ruining. The boost is just retarded, could've just dungeon boosted if they want to play fresh. Instead free levels, Blizz keeps changing the game to welfare gaming again. More and more like retail, which is terrible.

I personally do think that dual spec would be a good thing, the tbc private server I played on had it and it was absolutely amazing. Not having to respec just to be able to do a couple arena matches greatly lowers the barrier to entry. In addition to the pvp benefits, it also improves the player experience for healers a lot. I remember back in TBC while playing a healer, doing dailies sucked so much more for me than for other people who were playing dps specs.

I like how they realize that having power gains between factions is a problem for tbc (seals), but Shadowmeld is still unchanged and Covenants still exist. Though the latter is a more scaled down version of that, being not able to swap covenants was the original design intention.
Also, Mechagnome racial still is 30-40 dps ahead of the second best one
for longevity of tbc I think dual spec would be good. On smaller servers tanks would be easier to find and people will be more willing to play other roles to fill out a group

They have changed plenty already, I think dual spec would be a good utility to add-in. Most of the appeal of Classic was the server population being a known quantity. If you are a jerk your name got around. Granted remembering how nuts 40 man raiding could be was a nice reminder of how slimming down the groups wasn't the worst thing ever!
Ive played on BC servers that offered dualspec, its always been a nice thing, definitely makes the PVP scene more alive when raiders can just swap really quick, now that might not be the case anyway cuz if gold is gonna be inflated anyway the respec cost isnt as harmful aswell.

Also, she is well past the point of redemption, but if she ultimately helps us deal with Zovaal so she can fulfill her goal, it would be...something. This would also save her character for future use.

In WotLC, who was sad that DK's didn't start at lvl1? For most folks playing upcoming TBC, it won't be their first rodeo. I think a one time boost is fine. edit: Also, I'm not nostalgic about 50g respec to heal and quest on one character, it was a sucky tax on non-dps.
As someone who grew up playing TBC, but now has a career, a family, a very busy life, I very much appreciate the one time boost. I would not be able to play TBC end game without this.
The debate between dual spec and not, I think maybe a decent compromise would be being able to respec for free. You'd still have to go to a city, and fill out your whole trees so it might deter people from doing it every 5 seconds. But you also wouldn't be poor or feel bad about changing specs for fun whenever you're bored.
literally on point on everything, but one thing asmongold is doing wrong in his decision making every single time is that he makes it seem like EVERYONE has 200000 gold, or like EVERYONE clears the raids in the first day, just because you see monkeyboys or other nerd guilds killing it in the first day on twitch doesnt mean everyone else did. and im sure people in classic who have 200000 gold are probably 2% of the playerbase, just at least try to emphasize it a tiny bit, other then that great video

Achievements weren't really a thing in TBC until the WotLK pre-patch but it'd be neat to see them moved up.
I'd like to see dual spec in BC cause now, most of the ppl are playing more and doing more content, being able to play pvp and pve at the same time or 2 pve spec for example without being a pleb with no gold is great imo

If you actually look at the site for the TBC release they say that players have a one time account boost for one character to be level 58 so they don't have to start from 1.
