Can you do a video explaining more of your knowledge around lactate and how you do sessions like this? Knowing when it is better to extend this long without planning such a huge session. Vs when to push harder power. Or just more depth would be great to learn
It depends on the purpose of the session. This day I wanted to work with my threshold and I had also at this time a period where I tried to lower my VLamax. Usually 70 minutes of threshold is enough to deplete my glycogen storage, but this day I was really inefficient at LT2 (high lactate numbers and very controlled feeling). Instead of pushing higher power and aiming for LT2 feeling, I then instead extended the session so I was making sure that I was working with the right energy system. I could have increased the power, but then my lactate would be higher and I would then have work with a wrong energy system and then the result of the session would have been different. Make sense?
@cedrikbakkechristophersen thanks for the answer. If you have higher lactate readings like 3.x isnt that the indication that you are already using the wrong energy system and going back to 350W would be the better way to ensure you dont use that many carbs? Or do you go by RPE and argue that going below 360W would not challenge your energy system strong enough? I really like your answer. Meanwhile, i think another video explaining more of your knowledge around lactate would attract a lot of viewers like @jamesd5241 said. Thank you!
Gg. CB can you tell me/us what where you after on the Long LT2 session? Why couldnt you go a bit higher power to empty the CHO storages faster and do the same dent on the power curve rather than do a tempo power session? 🤔 Could it also be you were a tad dehydrated = blood concentration naturally hifher in Bla
Hi! I described it in another comment, so look after my answer there. I have good control of my hydration, so it wasn’t because of that either, but it could be!
It depends. Sometimes I want to deplete my storage, but then the recovery is getting pretty long, so that’s not often. It’s a good way to make your threshold bigger, but not necessarily making it higher
Takk! Ikke helt sikker på hvilen retning jeg vil gå enda, men denne sesongen skal jeg kjøre både endagsritt, men også en del etapperitt hvor jeg skal kjøre for sammendraget!
The only thing that I'm not convinced is the part of the video where you talked about efficiency. As a sport scientist I can tell you that human efficiency cannot vary that much, your "bad" feeling could be coming from another source
Agree, but remember that you guys not get the whole picture of what I’ve been doing the last weeks, so it’s impossible to make a correct conclusion based on this short video;)
I know, but i have been using it for years now and I’m using it for everything that’s positive;) Like: it was a GC session today= it was a good session today
cmoonnn cedrik keep up the good work! cant wait to see it tommorow. GG!

Did you start eating less carbs when you saw the lactate was high? @cedrikbakkechristophersen

I think that I never heard gg that often in one video. GG!
🤣🤣
Lovely video, so happg you've joined TDT! Best of luck this season, GG!
Thanks!

Love the team! Good luck this year guys. This is going to be the year of TDT💫
Thanks! We hope so🙏🏼
Kult utstyr. De trøyene vil vise godt igjen i feltet. Blir veldig spennende å følge TdT Unibet i år. Lykke til. GG 👊
Takk for det!
Love your videos. Keep it up. It motivates me a lot
Thanks!

Hi mate what is ur cam/mic for this vid ?
Berry good content by te way
Hi! Think it’s called Sony ZV-1? And while I’m riding I’m using my iPhone👌🏼
lets goo!!!
Hi, when you do your threshold training if i well understand you stop rep when you're empty and your lactate are over your LT2 ?
It depends. Sometimes I want to deplete my storage, but then the recovery is getting pretty long, so that’s not often. It’s a good way to make your threshold bigger, but not necessarily making it higher
GG 👍🔥
Which climb was it on Sunday? I'm going to Cap Negret in 2 weeks. Any tips? ;-)
It’s really steep, but it goes up from pego! Enjoy!
Thanks for video. Do you share your VO2 MAX? Just out of curiousity
ua-cam.com/video/2-8gin3OKEA/v-deo.htmlsi=HCYMq7q0aG_kjtpc here you go;)
What climb is the one at 11mins into the vid? Beautiful!
Not sure what the name is, but it’s up from Pego
GG !
gg💪🏻💪🏻
God vlog!
“Why rent it if you can buy it” 😂 - love the randomness of some of the guys’ comments
i went to the same hotel
Hva var grunnen til at du kjørte flere i3-drag pga høy laktat? Senke vlamaxen,?
Jepp! Tvinge kroppen til å skjønne at den må bli mer effektiv rundt LT2
'some low cadence' - goes up with 100rpm GG 😂
New team?
Tour de Tietema in 24/25!

@@cedrikbakkechristophersen sure! 👍🏻
Gg
You're going to race against a friend of mine so calm down your watts please. GG
🤣🤣🤣🤣
老表你好!
Umm does he know GG means good game ?
