That last game for Fly was so frustrating to watch , yet Fly had kept me entertained through their games this worlds with off meta picks. Why on earth did they have a Sett and Fiddle , who have been barely seen this series, and wait until 17 mins to try and all in on a team that scales late game with Smolder. Granted Fly’s Yone also sucks early game but mid game they could have been more ballsy on fights and won , that’s 4 forms of cc right there alone. Legit the first time ive seen someone even mention Quad's performance on the Zeri in game 3. Massu was busy pressing W on a warmogs tank and still got outdamaged by Quad. Casters were clueless.
But truth be told, they haven't won any series vs a real worlds contender team and got through swiss only due to sheer luck, if they encountered these teams earlier they would be long gone. Still most entertaining series vs geng, as bwipo once said being a pro also means you have to entertain the viewers.
FlyQuest almost had Gen.G, but people need to understand that the Fiddelsticks comp was genius, ofc, the drawback was they had to rush baron or they would have lost to Gen.G in the late game. If FlyQuest were facing Hannah Life, then yeah, that would be different, but no.
fly quest went above and beyond but we ALL know them running into T1 before finals would have been it anyway. they overcame what was necessary for their story to come back next year and win.
Honestly I am one of the few people who are a bit disappointed. They could have won the series but failed miserably to do so. Their drafting was one of the key factors that would've won them the game but it's also the one that cost them the series
Actually, I believe their early game team compa were genius. Everyone know’s in Korea that Zeka from HLE has the best early game and overall early skirmishes, while Chovy has the better late game skills The fiddlesticks comp was good to counter the macro play of Gen.G, but they had to rush baron or once the game hit 40 minutes, they would have automatically lost. It’s not that FlyQuest wasn’t prepared to win, but when Gen.G hits the late game, then Gen.G macro plays start coming in on lock.
Flyquest run prove that LCS is currently better than LEC. If NRG beating G2 last year can be seen as G2's bad day, FLY vs Gen.G series prove that LCS is having better teams now.
Nah, FLY lost because of the Fiddle pick game 5, they cooked too much. A bit of flexibility on the meta is Gen.G's weakness as it was shown that when caught off guard they really can't adjust well on picks that's aren't meta, that's how they won g4 and g5, they reverted back to comfort picks, stopped relying on peyz and made him pick Utility based bot picks and made chovy pick Tristana/Smolder and gave canyon Nidalee/Skarner. It was also visible on game 2 where canyon is on Nidalee, Chovy on Kassadin (counter) and util ADC (ashe) for Peyz
It is not devastating. FlyQ show the world you can always play your own thing and still have a shot. Yes NA generally lack of marco play will eventually bring them down, but at least they can know where they need to improve, and what advantages they got against the east. As a T1 fan, I would like to see NA perform internationally again soon.
Because of what FlyQuest did to Gen.G I will be watching them next year. To put it in comparison T1 is 3-11 vs GenG in 2024. FlyQuest almost won as many games in a day against GenG as T1 did in a year.
Imo, FlyQuest could have won game 4 if they picked Kaisa instead of Ezreal and K'Sante instead of Renekton. They just won a game playing an ultra scaling comp, and they just decided to do the opposite in game 4 or 5. Though, it was an amazing series from them, it just feels.. wasted at the end
FlyQuest did really well being such a massive underdog but that 4th game draft was just horrid. Ori and Ez are both weak in the early game due to them trying to stack tear. So those are both losing lanes. But then you pick Renekton an early game champ but, you lane swap him to the bottom lane because of their weak bot matchup negating Renektons strength in the early game. So you now have 3 losing lanes and basically allowing their Jungle to do whatever he wants. Made no sense to me whatsoever. They were playing so well but felt like they just gave game 4 away knowing they had 2 chances to eliminate GenG.
If T1 beats GENG i dont think any of the lpl team can beat T1, the T1 vs GENG is practically the finals match of this worlds same with last year the T1 vs JDG where that felt like that finals instead of wbg against T1

ssg vs t1 happened back to back although im not sure if they rebranded already at that point
FLY singlehandedly saved NA's reputation. If they got stomped 3-0, NA would still be the laughingstock of League.
Title needs to be edited. They've exceeded expectations
Honestly I am one of the few people who are a bit disappointed. They could have won the series but failed miserably to do so. Their drafting was one of the key factors that would've won them the game but it's also the one that cost them the series
„One of the few“? No, you’re just delusional, because not just a few are disappointed
@@realiascailt Well most people are proud of them. So I think minority are disappointed
Actually, I believe their early game team compa were genius. Everyone know’s in Korea that Zeka from HLE has the best early game and overall early skirmishes, while Chovy has the better late game skills
The fiddlesticks comp was good to counter the macro play of Gen.G, but they had to rush baron or once the game hit 40 minutes, they would have automatically lost.
It’s not that FlyQuest wasn’t prepared to win, but when Gen.G hits the late game, then Gen.G macro plays start coming in on lock.
@@Roasty420 I actually didn't mind the fiddle. It was actually both yone and sett picks for me 😂
Flyquest run prove that LCS is currently better than LEC.
The demon king won't have to exorcise any demons.
Imagine winning due to your unusual drafts and then deciding to pick standard lck draft for game 4.
While LEC still meme'ing n' not trying as hard, LCS already bring out their A game to prove West region still has a chance to win
Proud of Fly no matter if they lost
Flyquest, we only asked for you not to get swept. Not only did you refused to go down in three games, you all gave us hope that NA can win worlds.
It's truly impressive how many times in a row TES can disappoint me
Flyquest threw it...100000%. Sudden brain damage in those bans/picks. Plus the massively bad call on baron sneak = COOKED>
bro looking like he just woke up LMAO
Fly's carrying NA on their backs.
10:42 SORRY BUT THATS A LIE
In 2016 Final was SKT vs SSG, which was the SAME next year, 2017
If T1 beats GENG i dont think any of the lpl team can beat T1, the T1 vs GENG is practically the finals match of this worlds same with last year the T1 vs JDG where that felt like that finals instead of wbg against T1
never happened before?
what was 2016 and 2017?
The only flaw on FLYQuest draft is Renek on Bwipo.
FlyQuest made them bleed for that win.
anyone know why the overlay changed in game 5 of gen.g vs fly? probs nothing but just weird that it changed
It wasn't working so they had to us ethe default
Bwipo crying was a highlight...
And then they through it away with the draft in the 5th game
Didn't SKT and SSG meet in Worlds Finals two years in a row?
I love how delusional the NA to get past over GenG
