e. Just heard the news.. So sad, but not really, just a huge of part, indelibly inscribed unto my very soul. Just my thoughts go out to all who ar affected by these, his friends, family and children, his legacy lives on. #tmtch4life
Breaks my heart each time I hear this song .. Thank you Eric Bogle for writing this story and the soldiers who gave their lives for a future…. What a fu..in song.
I hung out with the band many many times in the mid 80s, The boys were the most genuine people you could wish to meet, not to mention the most talented, my friend Lee and I would travel all over the UK to watch the guys putting in the ultimate shift on stage. We met up again at Camden Rocks a few years ago and Cush gave me the biggest cuddle ever as we reminisced. Never has the passing of a music legend affected me so much as the world losing Cush, I am totally heartbroken My love and thoughts are with his family, God bless you Cush
First time I saw them Cambridge 1986, far and away the best act of the weekend. Saw them last week Shepherds Bush Empire, just as good as ever. R.I.P. Cush you are missed.
Very proud to call Cush my dad ❤️🤍❤️🤍❤️
He seems like a wonderful person, you must be very proud. Im sorry for your loss.
Hi Imogen, he was also my cousin, he used to regularly visit my mum in Portsmouth.
Sorry to hear of your loss. Spoke to him in Glasgow after a gig.
Glad to have had even that small contact and to say I'd met him.
What a voice. One of those instantly recognisable voices.
RIP Mr Cush. Your voice was ever present in my house since my earliest memories.

This performance is a fitting testament to Stefan Cush. Just wonderful. As Peel commented, "It's the barely supressed anger that gets me."

Awesome, so many memories, of the band and the folk festival
OMG, were any of of us this young! how lucky we have been, not to have been born of the the times of Willy McBride! xxx
Cheers for uploading...my favourite version of this great song.
Averyanti Tory fucking terrible version. Crack head with a microphone. Only one true version, Finbar Furey.
That's how to sing this - with raw anger.
This is how I remember them from the mid 80s with Shanne on bass and Jon drums. Brilliant. Can we see more of this gig?
Brilliant. RIP Cush.

Not that bad walkernick86, popular band. Furey Brothers version was excellent.
Who?????
Nobody that you would be aware of, obviously.
Back to the Pat Benatar channel with you.
Hipsters are obviously trying to imitate these guys... and failing.
Not the best version at all!! Fucking shocking! Someone who could sing would help!!
Brilliant version
walkernick86 Shame on you
***** I like you ;)
What fuck do you know. EricBogle himself said this was his favourite cover. Dick.
