After one hour of playing, the guy downstairs came upstairs and told us to stop, because the kick-drum foot on the floor was killing him. So I got a few old tires and put a plywood floor on top of them, and that solved the problem. But for the record, your neighbors below you will still hate your guts unless you do something about that kick drum foot.
Haha. I love this. Very accurate!!
It’s always good to have nice neighbours I play guitar and bass and drums (but don’t have a kit) and I can have it up as loud as I need and if they want it down I’ll turn it down and my mate plays piano which you can hear from the other side and they all say they love us playing the music
Wait till you put a kit in the mix mate see how they feel then lolz
This is so true! I own electric drums and they sound just like this when used with headphones! Also nice drumming skills!!!🤩
I finally got my electric kit set up in my new place the other week. I asked my roommate if it was bothering her when she was in bed sick and she just said “no, it’s groovy.” I guess she’s still feeling the rhythm even if she can hear the actual drum sounds. I was playing just the other day though at what I thought was a pretty good volume when my headphones fell off and I realised just how loud it was and just hearing the sticks on the rubber, I just thought “holy shit, my neighbours must fucking hate me!”
Even with headphones, they're still one of the loudest
His Neighbors: man they have a great tap dancer in their family
Ha! Totally me at my house and they all love the E-set cause they can’t hear it!🤣🥁Cheers, awesome playing!
Nice job. No idea of the song, but I think I heard a sweet breakdown in there.
It's My Life - Dead Silence Hides My Cries. I love this song, so I covered it. This was my first cover of heavy music!
God, that was friggin' hysterical! I own a TD-25 KV and live in a 3rd floor apartment 😂😂😂
Yo no joke is it a problem to play? I've been considering an electric set and I'm on the bottom.
@@yourself88xbl nah ur good. most apts don't sweat a little noise anyhow as long as it's during the day. i myself have been thinking to get a cpl resin pallets so its up off the floor. its only about 1/2 to 2/3 as loud as a reasonable knock on the front door. if you can't easily hear ppl knocking on ur neighbors doors from inside ur apt ur fine even in the middle of the night.
Neighbors been renovating that kitchen for months, can't wait to see it.
he is absolutely WHALING on that set, i'd be surprised it lasts over 2 months with the way he plays it
No joke, you actually sound solid on those pads, would like to hear for real
His double kick is very sloppy
Nah, it was very sloppy. No hate, but it surely wasnt "solid". Especially when you listen to the whole cover
@@jez_77 Ok great, how about you share a video of you playing for comparison.
@@MHeisler777 I would probably play it better since I play a lot of death metal with double bass, but I dont have to prove anything and its not my point by any means. It wasnt on time and had tempo issues and thats a fact, no matter if I can play better than this or not. Thats just objective. He did a decent job with those single stroke fills, but really struggled with double bass and timing. Again, Im not hating, everyone has stronger and weaker sides and that version of this song is strongly based on that pretty advanced double bass pattern which he struggled with. The most important part is to acknowledge mistakes and keep practicing and having fun
Plot twist: he's playing a preset kit called "rubber and mesh" which sounds the same with or without headphones
Why is this comment so hilarious
Hopefully the neighbours have fond memories of listening to pneumatic drills as babies instead of lullabies
He set himself up to make this hilarious but never dropped the punchline. But he knew it wouldn’t matter because his comments section would be full of drummers who are distracted by drumming
first recommended video: "How To Make Your Electronic Drums Quieter"
I ACTUALLY need this as I live in an apartment on the third floor with PAPER thin walls and floors, and the simple act of stepping on my pedals makes it sound like I'm stomping around like a Rhino to my downstairs neighbors. I've been unable to play for months because of noise complaints.
Now I want to hear the real drumming
I love watching people hammer down on electric kits
Those cymbals sound great acoustically
When it comes to drums, my neighbors and I love to listen to metal and metal music on drums, whether they want to or not.
I had a roland kit at a townhouse - neighbor complained brutally the first day I got it. The pads are very loud and the kick vibrates the entire floor. I wouldn't do electronic drums again unless I owned a house.
as someone who has little natural feel of rhythm that double bass sounded insanely clean
That rug really ties the room together
Kid you’re killing it! Ppl are gonna hate but that how you know you’re doing something right. Fuck ya
And that's why I make sure there's a sound system so everyone can suffer from the full power!
Your metal style is seriously lit !!
Just bought a electric drum set after playing for years and then rarely playing for 8+ years.. neighbors just banged on the ceiling while I was practicing double bass. Good recommendation youtube!
Lol. Have they complained?
Yes
i mean, its definitely alot quieter than an acoustic set would be lol
Depends
You can get those low volume cymbals and drums and it would basically be the same volume.
🤣 that was so on point bro. Nice work.
thank you sir. i've been wondering how electronic drums sound like without plugged in for a really long time. now i can rest.
Sounds like someones clapping cheeks with a rhythm in here 😂
Exactly!🤣🤣🤣
Would love to do that. W the actual Sound it would Sound less.
“That neighbor sure loves his pro-pain accessories, I’ll tell you hwat.” 🏓💥
even though you can't hear what he's playing, it sounds awesome
This is awesome because this is exactly what I do and I've never given a second though to what the neighbors think except they must be happy I'm not on an acoustic kit.
No, they don't hear that. The worst are the vibrations in the ground. Put your kit on a rubber tray.
DUDE THOSE SOUND AWESOME!!! it sounds like some kind of tribal drums lol
Neighbors: wow, this constructors beat like a drummer!
This man has great talent. I've been playing since I was 12 ish and I'm much older, so I can tell he is very good. He's missing very few actual played beats which is very noticeable. I have to admit, as a drummer I would much prefer to hear someone hammering away on a real kit, as loud as they may be and this video is a very good example of why.lmao That double bass action was really quite solid though. The point of the video is well received! Lmao It kinda reminds me of someone who has made an entire set of drums using only percussion blocks of different sizes!!!lmao😂😆👍🙏🙏🙏
I just bought my daughter a regular drum set. I told her maybe we should have bought an electric drum set, maybe not lol
I bought my friend's kid a small set for Christmas one year, just for a laugh as I knew how much it would piss her off. We aren't friends anymore but it was well worth it.
That beginning facial expression....Wonderful.
That dood looks so happy
drums will do that to ya
I've been playing like that for four years. On my electronic kit but without sound since the electronics are dead. So it sounds pretty normal to me I guess.
wutttt. How do you still keep playing it?
my sister has one of those and I literally have panic attacks :) ✨misphony✨
Misophonia
LMAO PANIC ATTACKS 🙄🙄❄️❄️
What the fuck is misphony 😐
@@johnmiller4553 shiver me timbers 🥶

My favourite part is where I find out what my neighbours feel like when I play my electronic drums
The most enlightening part was when he actually told us what his neighbours thought.......
