I worked in a pub when I was younger and used to use my parents' car sometimes to get home when I worked after the buses stopped running. One of my coworkers, a really nice girl about 18 asked me for a lift and I said "course", but had to sort some things before I finished work so gave her the key so she could wait in the car out of the cold while I locked up. After 5 minutes I was finished and went to the car and my coworker was nowhere to be seen. I called her mobile and she nicely, but with a slight tint of alarm in her voice said she'd found other transport home. I was miffed but said fine, saved me a job. As I got to my car, I looked in the boot and realised that my parents' allotment tools were still there. These tools included an axe, spade, pruning shears, hacksaw and a huge bag of plastic ties all displayed on a big blue plastic tarp.
