It’s true what you’re saying. I was born in the UK to Ghanaian parents and have been to Ghana (want to live there) but the reason why we adapt is because are parents raise us as if we are in Ghana. They teach us the history, culture, food in order to instil our identity in us and to be proud of where we come from. I have also seen Africans from the diaspora look down on Africans because of their way of living, believing themselves to be more superior which is not true at all. It’s just a different way of doing things. We can learn from each other and strengthen ourselves.
Definitely listening here in America as an African Haitian American. The continent of Africa is truly helping me to love myself as a black person not knowing our true history only what we are told from our oppressors will have you feeling extremely lost, separated from your homeland, and not knowing your true identity. We in the diaspora need to unlearn and learn so much just for us to finally lift up our heads and live within our true purpose. 🌎✨✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿🌅
Mm mm mm, how can i like this video a 1000 times? In fact, every "black person" must watch this video. Or people pls share this video with everyone you know. Myself i ve watched it twice and shared it to all my loved ones.
@WebnationAfrica yes I always watch your video, but this is my very best one so far. Your questions were on point, and our brother KOD was really on fire.. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥. If this video doesn't change your mindset, I don't know what will.
I wish Ghana leaders shared this viewpoint. Obeng Darko is a boon to Ghana, particularly to those of us in the diaspora. Together, we will create a new Africa, which is why I am coming back to Ghana.
Nkrumah lived with Black people from America, South America, and the Caribbean he truly got a rounded education from the Black people he encountered in NYC. He also attended an HBCU: Lincoln University as opposed to Ivy League. Nkrumah got the real perspective on how Black people are view in the West. He ventured back to Africa with the true perspective Westerners have about Black skinned people in this world He understood the global view is one of gross disrespect.
But truth be told Africans aren't refuting the preconception for the most part unfortunately... That is when the criticism n disrespect hurts most, cos we saying that it's true. What do you care what your haters think if you winning.?
Brilliant conversation. I always stop and listen anytime this man is speaking. He really does challenge me to start something back home and look after my finances.
As a Ghanaien residing in the netherlands, i have a good job but it never feels like home because of certain restrictions. Ghana should be the destination but obviously preperation need to be done.
These are the conversations to have, my brother. I've ordered his book on Amazon. This is the mindset we need. Our education system is compromised and colonised. I am always careful when it comes to "educated idiots".
With the teachings of Mr Obeng Darko have been able to purchase 3 acres of farmland growing cassava.I will be earning 20k next year April.Am in Dubai will be leaving there soon to concentrate more in vegetables farms also.Africa is rich and not poor🙌 Thank you Mr Obeng Darko for freeing our minds 🙏
I listen to obeng because he doesn’t criticize anyone! All his does is provide solutions and inspire and I feel he is a real one. Thank u webnation for letting him pass through.
Wow I've been waiting for this encounter for a long time and finally brought the Legendary Obeng Darko on the show, very inspiring and educative submission by the Man of the moment. Thank you Webmation Africa for this one.
a lot of us in the west do not have a lesser view of Africa and people of African dissent. We get our education from elders and books not from school. A lot of us encourage our African friends to use their African names as opposed to their non-African names. We promote African culture in the West. We are not all cut from the same pattern
I agree. But I’m sure he’s talking about the other 99%. I’m always reminded that I’m not British enough. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing-from saving lives, driving, shopping to clubbing.
I built my house in Ghana, I provide my own electricity with solar . my own water with borehole , I started a business to help the young people in my village , all this while living in the US . I agree with everything your guest is saying, but I believe we have to hold the Government accountable . Must I also provide my own roads ? Why do we have a Government ? What is their function , just to answer big title and collect big salaries ? So what is the solution for our roads , lack of water and inconsistent electricity? In every developed country it is the Government that builds infrastructure . from America to China . If we are following a different system in Africa , then why do we keep holding elections ?
True. The government is not reasonable. But the thing he’s talking about is regarding individuals who want to be wealthy or have some financial independence. I’m not sure the likes of Kwame Despite and Kennedy Agyapong have their own roads. In this discussion, it’s about individuals development which can later result in a national development. The blames on governments only makes it difficult to achieve on micro level. So the difference is clear.
Wow!!! This is my first thing watching this content and I'm loving it. Kawbena Obeng Darko is so deep. He speaks with much wisdom and practicality. If you want to be successful, we must conquer Business is not in the class but in the market You cannot repair the mind of the African unless you give them proper History We create wealth in Businesses not in degrees The C students are currently employing the A student
I am an African born in America and who started a business in East Legon and would love to discuss the challenges I faced as a woman doing business in the Motherland.
As clear as dirt. We are behind when it comes to African consciousness. The blame on leadership and leadership itself is because of lack of consciousness. Until we address that fact , we'll be groping in darkness. Africa is extremely rich
The biggest difference between Africa the continent especially West Africa and Western countries is infrastructure !! As an African who has started and run businesses in my country while living in America , I agree that the future of Africa is in entrepreneur ship!! But we must also face the fact that until African leaders do their jobs we Africans will remain handicapped ! The biggest handicap I had in running and scaling up in my business was lack of ROADS , ELECTRICITY AND WATER !! I had to provide all these for my business ,but it meant that the cost and ease of doing that business was so expensive !!This is the main reason that 84% of food in Africa is imported, on a continent that has acres of undeveloped land and a temperate climate !! Just consider you have a farm , you have to dig a bore hole for water, use generator and expensive diesel for electricity ,the road leading out to the main town is so bad that you are constantly repairing your vehicles !!
Missing the whole point. The African leader is the one he wants to build. A resilient, thoughtful, responsible individuals who would be future leaders. Isn’t it obvious we don’t have that yet? Or you think just because someone holds a political position means they have the know how to build Africa? This is our downfall. The notion that politicians have all the brains.
I pray you start a program in our JHS and SHS, we need this knowledge in our own language before setting our foot in the class room. Thank You very much
Hayford this is so great. Listening to Mr. Obeng is so refreshing. This was very informative. Thank you so much for doing this. The next interview should be the Bodleys in Aburi.😀😀.
Also when it comes to African History. How many Ghanaians have visited the slave dungeons? How many Ghanaians know about such an important part of History? At the end of the day you are my brother and I am your sister. We are family connected by our ancestral blood.
This man's knowledge goes beyond. He is a wealthy man and a humble.

I always enjoy listening to him and will be buying his books. I believe in coming back to help solve. We are few.
I wish Ghana leaders shared this viewpoint. Obeng Darko is a boon to Ghana, particularly to those of us in the diaspora. Together, we will create a new Africa, which is why I am coming back to Ghana.
You ain't alone

The most important message Africans need to hear today. 💯
This is inner deep preaching not church preaching by fake bible pastors. Our ancestors are working. Thanks legend

Kai this is powerful conversation. Obeng Darko is an asset to the sunshine continent ❤❤🎾🎾
These are the conversations to have, my brother. I've ordered his book on Amazon. This is the mindset we need. Our education system is compromised and colonised. I am always careful when it comes to "educated idiots".
💯👍🏽👍🏽
This man is creating a lot of millionaires. I am one, working on a big projects for wealth creation because of his teachings 🔥🔥
We in the diaspora deeply understand this man than most of the people in Ghana, because we have experienced what he is saying out the country
These men pouring out knowledge, wisdom, and truth like wild fire spreading around dry forests.
You are a very wise man. Positive thinking man. You should open a consulting agency to help people who need that kind of help. Very informative.
The only time he charges is during his seminars.
He usually speaks or teaches on UA-cam.
He should be in our schools. That's where the negative brainwashing starts
True talk @@stellafosua5578

As clear as dirt. We are behind when it comes to African consciousness. The blame on leadership and leadership itself is because of lack of consciousness. Until we address that fact , we'll be groping in darkness. Africa is extremely rich
The blame on leadership, is a pure deflection. We like an easy life, dont want to sacrife and er refuse to think.

Wrong biggest difference is the mentality not infrastructure. Everything starts with the mind
