I think I might have an idea for making those track gaps easy to traverse! Use a merge block to merge them together but where when you disconnect them they aren't merged anymore them while they're not merged, place filler blocks between them & just not allow them to merge(ie: after merging them, disconnect them then replace the merge blocks with armor blocks & add extra blocks to fill in the gap) this should allow a super straight track that allows very long tracks without the problem of the block limits!
Should also setup additional wheels close together and set them up in a way to help guide the wheels onto the next track. Could also add some gyros and configure an override, to keep it level against the track in all directions.

You can use this kind of track for your tram in your survival series. It may be a bit difficult to make the track curve but it shouldnt be too difficult
It's possible in survival too, with the hole excavated with drills. Although you still have to cut the line and create new grids for different parts of the line to not bug the main grid, it works. I highly recommend glass and close cockpit for these kind of things.
28:39 The wheel propulsion buttons arent working because some of the wheels are oriented the wrong way. When you increase the override, some start spinning forwards and some spin backwards (from the same point of view). If you contro'l the wheels via a cockpit or a remote control Space Engineers makes the wheels rotate the right way.
Yes, it's also not based on left/right wheels. The override is + for clockwise and - for counterclockwise, or possibly the reverse, I can never remember.

i have - intel core i7 6 gen -GTX 960 -8 GB ram DDR4 -128 GB SSD / 1 TB HDD ( I have installed SE on HDD disc) im using high settings and everything works fine 55-60 fps

I'm a bit late, but possible improvements could be passage ways and a support block every 500 passages down. To conserve the block count. This way, you need only 4x 3x3 wheels and 4x 1x1 wheels. The 3x3 fit inside the passages amd the 1x1 keep it centered in between the track. The key is as few of wheels and blocks as possible. Ultimately, clang will claim it many times.
pistons would help get the wheels in a better perfect position. also a piston parking brake would be cool. I cant test this cause I don't the game or a pc to play it on. this is a fun series, great job.

I am curious about how you can get aggregation of objects into orbits in the low-G environment. Can you get for example more than 1 "planet" orbiting the central mass?
It would be tough to get another collection of blocks orbiting the center because gravity is not calculated for blocks. It's really just a point, so there would be nothing to drag the blocks together while orbiting except for that one center point.

The hard part would be digging a perfectly vertical shaft all the way through the planet. I haven't tried this, but if you used a regular tunnel to find and set a GPS point at the *exact* gravitational center of the planet (or at least within a meter or three) you could then start the main tunnel. Hover above the surface with your jetpack, equiping the voxel delete tool with a huge spherical brush. Aim directly at the gravity centre GPS location and set a new GPS location (start). Without touching the movement keys at all, still aiming at the center, delete voxels as far as you can reach, Then only by turning on/off inertial dampeners, drop down the hole without hitting the bottom, delete more, repeat until you hit the middle (pain in the ass i know) Once you hit the core you'd have to fly/teleport to the opposite side of the planet until the two GPS locations line up as perfectly as you can make them (it might be useful to set a 3rd location (end) to check allignment before digging) When they line up, you can drop/dig the using the same method as the first half of the hole. If it works, you should end up with an absolutely laser-straight hole going perfectly through the center of gravity. Once you have this, it should be pretty easy to hover in place above one end and drop through Sorry about the book, lol.

With the unlimited speed mod by dropping with 0 horizontal speed you shoud be able to get exactly to the other side (maybe not because it wasn't perfectly alligned with gravity) so maybe you could have a box that you drop from a landing gear and it would stop exactly at the same height on the other side (considering too that if the other side is a mountain and the origin point is a lake it wont make it)

Suggestion, vanilla ladder, how many days does it take to go all the way through.
You can calculate it - make a ladder 50m long, see how long it takes you to cross that distance, then multiply the result by 2400.

I think when you make game-breakingly large grids you should occasionally use a merge block so there are multiple pieces to this one massive elevator.
Also although I want to believe space engineers is pretty complete it still has some glaring performances use when trying to do bigger stuff like this

You can use relative dampeners to match your speed to a ship using Control + Z (or what you have your dampeners key set to)

If you're going to make an elevator, use merge blocks to align it.
You should go through, fix the major track changes, add some catwalks at the ends and upload it on the workshop.
