Her Story is so similar to mine, almost identical, I could never be mad at my mother though, I completely understand her struggles and reasons for not disclosing. I love her more than words could ever explain.
You are so beautiful Nokuthula…..I wish you will enter Miss SA or something like that, if it’s a desire for you. Your beauty, inside and out needs to be displayed…please consider! I see God’s grace through your life. Your story is encouraging and I wish you the very best for the future❤
Growing up I had a friend who also had a similar experience and at the time she was on ARV's but never knew what the medication was for. I remember her showing me the medication & telling me she was told she has heart problems. Her mother died when she was very young & was living with her grandmother. The dad was sending her the medication. Cut the story she eventually fell ill & that when she was told why aren't you taking your ARV's. Her world fell apart. Her last words were they got me sick & lied to me. It was the most horrific thing to experience as her friend seeing her giving up to life. She's resting now. Hope she's happy in heaven
Watching from Cape Town... It is so inspiring to see a young woman taking one of the most life changing experiences with so much maturity. Proud of you sisi ❤
Eh, but she was getting treatment for herself? I think the extent you'al are willing to go to deny the facts is insane. Imagine this was her husband, knowing they're both infected, taking medication for himself while watching her wither away. I dont think anyone would be thinking, "Oh shame, he was praying for a cure." That's just ridiculous.
I am a mother myself,I cant just find the logic behind what her mother did to her,for 17yrs.Lord Jesus, how do u live with yourself, watching your child wither and fade away,u know the reason and u are not doing anything about it.We have counsellors, pastors etc people,to handle/disclose what we are unable to.Thank God u made this far gorgeous!
She never had the intention to protect her she was hoping she would die early but that never happened it's sad very sad I was really hurt I wouldn't do that to my child
The problem with society is that the mentality of "your child is your child, you love your child." Honestly speaking, not all parents love their children.
This hits home,i have a cousin who was born with it as well. I must say i applaud him for being so strong from a very young age,hes 22 now and i cud only imagine how he feels or thinks about life nje,i feel for him alot i love this story so inspirational. This guest is very lucky and blessed because many like her when they find out, it be too late because they’d have defaulted on the treatment many times and would have developed a resistance to the drugs, because they never knew why they had to take pills everyday. That time the parents would be taking their medicine while watching their child die!😢

I don't know why some parents are like this. I know a mother who was also taking ARVs but not treating the child. And The family kept thinking the child is bewitched because he got sick but I advised the family from the beginning years ago I told them that this child has hiv symptoms and they argued and said am over analysing things. The older sister one day just decided to break the law and got the child tested and he was found to be positive. The child is now on medication and he is looking much healthier. Now I have advised the grandmother that they need to find a way of disclosing the matter to the child because he's getting into his teen years soon . . .quite a dilemma I tell you and very unnecessary.

Watching from the UK. Well done boss babe. I won't lie, I was shocked to hear your mom took care of herself and didn't protect you. I am glad you were able to heal and forgive
My cousin is going through the same thing but unfortunately her mum is late and she can't ask her questions. She always says if my mum was alive, I would ask her why didn't u protect me. Because in all honesty at the time she was born, there was already a way to protect the unborn child.
Her Story is so similar to mine, almost identical, I could never be mad at my mother though, I completely understand her struggles and reasons for not disclosing. I love her more than words could ever explain.

I think it's my first time to see such a beautiful child. My child the sky is the limit.
Yaz muhle !
I think the mother was and is still in prayer for a cure, she couldn't hurt her by telling her. Fear captured her
