I'm just happy he didn't push for the mjolnir+squire version. If people start buying squire left and right, the cost will go up to mageblood levels of insanity since it's a tier 0. Right now the only real users were arakali's fang and archmages with the reverse snapshotting trick

Are you able to transition this build into a Arc build for higher endgame damg? or would there be to much to change around.
iirc immutable force has 2 breakpoints only. one before and one right after 961 making the stun either 2 server ticks long or just one with a roll of or above 961%
I'm not sure if that was asked but is it great to fit frost shield in here? base crit, some def, etc. there's already sigil of power, why not also use frost shield?

I do have a question, how does the build have so many strength and dexterity without any gear/jewels/treenode having them? I followed the original build with a +40 all attributes necklace and only get the same attribute as this video. Is there anything I missed?
How does PoB show rez capped at 80, when no items except the gloves and a bit on a ring have resists?
im confused. if i have inspriation in chest piece my mana is too cheap to trigger kitavas. am i suppose to swap it out?
I wonder this would bring back the fun I had with Ball lightning back then when we used Pledge of hands and normal Maven was the strongest boss 🤩

you could work in shock nova + overcharge in the helmet and shift two curses out into an arcanist brand setup with some gem switches. do you think that would help getting larger shocks? or does shock nova simply lacks the damage then without archmage support?
IIRC in the prior video where he discussed passives. He takes the shock effect one mentioning how scaling shock would be a good move. You could use Shock nova, and it might apply a higher shock but that would be 2 gems, and another click.
Does POB calculates dps wrong? From what i see POB calculates 1 hit per ball per second? As i know every ball can hit multiple times?
From where you are getting your dex from?
Will this be able to do delve, and also not get one tapped but phys dmg? about the sigil of power do you need to use it all the time or is it for bosses? seems kinda annoying if it has long cooldown and have to stand in that circle?
sigil of power is definitely a nice to have but not a must. Archmage is a decent delver due to the good aoe

Amyezing starter!! Just one idea. lightning warp is 1000% faster then shiled charge, just go LW, swift afflc, less duration and faster casting. U can use warped timepiece amulet for omega TS warping like movement in acts. once you have cast speed on your gear.

I've always felt inpulsa without storm's gift gloves feel bad. Huge difference to make Inpulsa prolif for clear. But I guess then you might as well play something else.

Yes, you can use variety of skills and get decent outcome. But most skills wont have half the damage ball lightning has. And arc wont benefit from massive AoE Hiero provides + tree AoE nodes, so you are wasting some good stuff...Still you can easily use Arc for chill mapping and swap for Ball Lightning for bosses

hey have you looked into using The Ivory Tower + Prism Guardian
and maybe Skyforth to reserve your life for auras and go low life with pain att and go pure energy shield with mana there for chaos dmg ? i guess can also use FF/FF for the 5% mana/es recovery rate from guadian... if using mjoner + indigu? have you looked into that direction if its good? thanks
Way too expensive for a league starter. 2nd or third build.

this is just the meta mjolner manabond setup for the last year, depends on how much currency you typically farm early, it'll still be strong with the archmage rework though if that's what you're wondering, you just don't need to play manabond anymore
eta: it's definitely been feasible to start mjolner in the past few leagues, you don't want skyforths just temp spec unwavering stance when you are just getting started

What about the new uber unique shield?
totally useless because you're a spellcaster build. Totally unplayable if you're not going the mjolnir + cyclone version and at that investment you're better off just getting squire due to the multiple hoops you're jumping through.
Shavronne's Revelation on the right ring slot is an early-to-endgame option as a ring if you have low enough mana costs or instant-leech; typically just a couple chaos and if you can deal with the no mana regen downside it can be near-bis for most manastack builds. 60-75 flat int, 250 flat additional mana, and 6% ES regen/second at level 30 is no joke; for Mana RF especially. Since it's cheap you can also get some broken corrupted implicits on it at low-budget(discipline/whatever aura effect, % int, etc)

brittle > action speed on boots , no ? gives it 90ish% crit chance and 41kk DPS
requires you to walk over the mobs which is an action that has a non-zero cost

You can go pledge of hands non crit and pump 40mil+.
How would you build that? I'm going something like that but I never got to those numbers before.
@@franciscosaltojusto7662 The old build had the same left side pathing but in the right side didnt have the second cluster jewel setup, it was pathing downwards, towards scion/marauder for more mana nodes. And pledge gives 50% mana. You kinda just stack mana a ton and go non crit.
The whole build was literally carried by pledge alone due to the synergy with mana stacking and thanks to greater spell echo. Nowadays it's probably even easier to play that, because you dont have to spend ridiculous mana amounts to cast a lot.
Also btw, you dont even need to go archmage with ball lightning. If you check ancestor league on ninja, you can find tricksters with non crit ball lightning setups that literally were just using normal wands with added lightning damage to them. 39.2mil dmg but this has mageblood. Ball lightning is simply still the most busted skill because of its aoe mechanic, you can hit the maximum amount of times with all bolts in range option. I removed his +1 to skills from tattoos to get that number and his other tattoos are uselles ( just a bit of chaos res and a lot of recovery of mana, life and es nodes ).

Is Alira really the play? Also one of your life masteries will not work since Inpulsa has a life modifier.
it is extremely efficient for a very long time, once you're fine with mana sustain and resists, then you can seek out better stats with 2 skill points
He went over this in the leveling video. You grab the Life mastery node for ez life when leveling. By avoiding life rolls on an armor this allows more room for error when gearing at lower levels.

I don't understand the inpulsa... Does ball lightning doesn't already clear the packs with the amount of AOE we have? Inpulsa won't clear screen wide because inpulsa explosions can't themselves shock so they won't chain... I use call of the brotherhood to solve this problem with elementalist(the llightning damage can't shock but if you convert to cold it can.)
Could use Storm's gift gloves to make inpulsa prolif too

In my personal opinion no as it's a "new" build, based on a build type that historically has pitfalls
doubtful when so many people will be playing it, prices will be high
Is the playstyle difficult for beginners? Is the gearing difficult?
@@MEanPenguin908playstyle is simple, but it's a finely tuned machine that needs a solid understanding of endgame gearing, especially when prices are higher than usual for the archetype. Moreover, there are many variants to the build which can be hard to grasp if you don't know much about it yet
When I played last time, I used " Pledge of Hands " for the boss, and " Sire of Shards " for the clear. Isn't it worth it anymore?
@Tevsu When I played, I played with both. To clear it, I used " sire ", when I reached a boss, I pressed " x " and changed it to " pledge "

@TevsuI think I'd go for wand + a shield with power charge implicit and t1 lighting dmg. You could even get fancy with +3 max res maybe melding of flesh drop down to 1 ele flask something like that
I'm going Pledge and Replica Kaom's Heart, with Atziri's Foible, non-crit. It kind of worked two leagues ago for me, though not enough for ubers safely, it cleared all other content quite easily. I want to see how it would work now with the new archmage, and maybe add an Indigon if they're not incredibly expensive.

Ball lightning isn't an orb or brand.

at 17:40 you say if you want to add a 5th curse you'd need to take another minimum power charge, but you dont. is there another reason to take the minimum that im not missing? anathema makes your curse limit equal to your maximum power charges, says nothing about how many charges you actually have.
Edit: also if kitava's thirst works with anathema to grant power charges when you trigger the curses, the original first ascendancy seems better than conviction of power imo. 4 endurance charges is basically nothing without further phys mitigation and you'd have perma max power charges anyways
I may not be remembering this correctly, but he talked about speccing out of the Top left ascendancy (2 pts) to pick up the +4min charge node. He also said you would respec to curse setup for end game. I wouldnt want to bank on getting anathema at league start and relying on a curse setup when you could easily gear rares and have an easier time.
@charlespanache7047 yeah I just don't see the reason for minimum charges. You only need maximum, not minimum so it seems that grabbing the +1 on the tree and keeping the original ascendancy is better. Makes ailment immunity way easier. And the power charge cluster that gives another minimum charge or adding another minimum to your ring like suggested in the video is completely unnecessary
@@Lardbutt200 I think he said somehwere that gaining power charge was too slow. Unless mistaken the only source of power charge is anathema 10-20% chance on curse. Curse are triggered by Kitava with a 50%. All acounted it's a 5-10% chance to gain a power charge on ball lightning cast. For mapping it should be fine but for bosses it would take 6-12 seconds of non-stop casting to reach 4 power charge and get maximum curse effect and crit chance.
