@@elliotreeves4584 You could also check out Argon 8. I will buy 8M version this year (i own Cobalt 8 X). I have a gut feeling Argon could do trance better since it has different mettalic tone. Cobalt was literally made for synthwave, bladerunner, cyberpunk style music since it has that really warm sound. Trance on Cobalt is really really hard to make. It just wasn't designed to do supersaw. But it is superb synth and i would never sell it
@@elliotreeves4584 As i remember correctly only Roland JP 8000/8080 had one, Access Virus had hypersaw. Other synths just had regular saw oscilators which you could detune (unison and stacked mode) . Novation, Nord Lead, Yamaha AN1X etc... Some were doing it superbly. I've had Novation MiniNova same engine as Ultranova which was based on Nova. It is great synth and i have also soundbank for Trance music (on my youtube channel). A s for Argon 8 i don't know (but i am shure it doesn't have supersaw - only JP and Access had that). But that being said it is achievable with any synth but you need a bit programming. Trance was late 90's and early 2000's schtick. New synths are geared towards cinematic, synthwave analog music (Modal Electronics are really really great in that direction). Argon and Cobalt have some insane oscilator algorithms - that's why i will also buy Argon 8M which is wavetable synth. And i will go for one Trance bank for sure. I guess i will be only one who achieved that on these particular synths. You can make those on Cobalt and Argon but it needs a bit of programing and some sound designing wizardry. But no other synths were geard towards trance than JP 8000 and Access Virus (Novation Supernova). But unfortunatelly you will not find any straight forward new hardware synth with supersaw algorithm (even hydrasynth doesn't have that)
@@qrdnk well it is only one of two synths i own. so i had plenty of time to figure this out :) Cobalt 8X and Skulpt SE which i actually won last year at their soundclash competition

You should check out some of my other banks mate. Novation MiniNova is far from bad. Thanks by the way 🙂
Excellent you’ve made it sound like the synth im after ❤
Thanks mate. Now is even better after Cobalt 8 v2.0 update as it has free oscilator run
Yeah I’ve been looking into it and it sounds like the update takes it to another level ! I’ll deffo be buying your sound set when I purchase one 🎉

@@julko28 ah I thought the cobalt had supersaw ? Does the argon have supersaw ? I wasn’t sure which one is the better synth !

Excellent work Dario. You have pushed the Cobalt to the edge and got some golden sounds here. A pleasure to listen to!
Thank you mate i tried my best :)
Awesome work, Dario!
Great! All the best from
