I've been there, and it was an very, very special atmosphere about this show, almost as if the audience was aware that this was their final Motörhead show _ever_ ;) Lemmy seemed so fragile, but he pulled it off, courtesy of his bandmates and his very _will_ to do it. I will never forget this show, and I will never again take any band as "granted" - because they play my favorite festivals at any given year...
Lemmy knew how to put on a jolly good show, and even at rhe end he never disappointed his fans, even that time he had to stop 3 songs in, he was essentially forced off stage. Any other musician woulda walked off but he was destroyed over it and the crowd roared his name as he walked off showing that fans werent ashpoles about him not being able to go on that evening,he was a legend and hopefully will be in generations to come
I remember those skinny legs when they played in Buenos Aires on May 2nd that same year. He was sick at that time and kept hard rocking til the end. Lemmy never dies Mothërfuckers \m/
When the end comes for me, as it surely will, I hope I have people around me like Mikkey and Phil who will take as good care of me as they did for him. God rest you, big man, you are a fucking legend and the world is a little bit dimmer for you not being in it. Much love.
@@rockingchairsofpiss1404 that sound came from someone playing a chord, this one was the last time from after Lemmy had touched the bass, also, it was funny cause I showed it to a friend, they were shitting themselves cause they thought someone had touched the bass, but nobody is on stage, and the bass is just leaning right on Lem's stack the whole time
I read in an interview that the deal for the live album was done and agreed with Lemmy way before he got ill, there was suposed to be a second part recorded at Hammersmith Odeon as well.
You can tell Lemmy was going out, but he always did his best for the fans. That man was a legend and is sorely missed.
Rock 'n' roll will never be the same without you Lemmy! Thank you for the happiness you brought to us all.We love you beyond forever!!!!..
