mate. I saw RT and Angry as support for a makeshift GNR at the Entertainment Centre in Adelaide. It was Axl and Bucket Head version of GNR. Also featured Skid Row. I am actually not at huge RT fan, but Angry and RT stole the show. Sebastian Bach was in awe, I saw him to the side buggin out of Angry's performance. Memorable
@@whiteandrew1986 I saw them first supporting (read - blowing away) ZZTop, and then at a 'Drug Free' concert where Angry chucked a couple of cartons of beer out to the audience. We Managed to sneak in to the property early with the bands and crew , got our cars in so we had plenty of grog . We sat between the stage and riser for the mixing desk. There were six of us sitting in a circle at sunup and we started having a small "session", by the time we finished, the circle has swelled to about 500 people and there were joints and billies everywhere, it was awesome...!!
@@MickH60 That sounds great! I don't remember every band at the concert I saw, it was a Legends of Australian Rock tour, The Angels were there, and I remember John Swan, probably with the Party Boys at that stage, but apart from Rose Tattoo ripping it up, I remember Brian Cadd absolutely killing it at the end of the show, with guests from various bands joining him on stage. He wasn't someone I really knew much of, but the old bloke really showed them how it's done! 🙂👍

Proud to be Australian and even prouder that the first time I ever heard Rose Tattoo in very early 1980's made me into a lifetime fan. Had all albums on vinyl which went all over the World when I sold them in 2008, amazed that just as many fans in Europe, UK and USA but Rock'n'Roll is Universal, and Australians didn't invent it. Proud history though since 1950's!

All time favorite tune from this band from Down Under....and what Joe"the Godfather" Anthony played to us kids in the late 70's/ early 80's.Lord only knows how much I miss those days and all the people that made them special, both good and bad. I'll forever be a rocker, just a little more softer. Until the day comes when I'm hanging around a celestial kegger surrounded by my family and friends. Rock on,'til I Ride on.
Why this band isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is beyond me. They should EASILY get admitted under the "Influencers" category after so many bands were inspired by them, most notably, Guns and Roses.
Love this version, and it's so cool that Irish TV filmed it..... but.... come on. Robin Riley's playing lead guitar and you never see him playing the solo. Oh well. Still beats anything else out there.
Angry Anderson came off like a street tough but he is very, very literate. It's one extra thing that made the songs so good. He throws in a few words and phrases here and there that would almost fit Shelley or Orwell but he makes them work in these street stories. So cool.
The Rolling Stones are the worst live band ever seen. Only light shows and a lot of additional musicians needed . But this only because of their commercial level. Theire show must go on. Then you see these guys , ROSE TATTOO, live since the 80 s … a real Powerhouse.Angry Andersson is better than all of them (maybe young Axel Rose came close to him).
@@joeoregan170 cheers Joe...yep! My first ever gig was to see Thin Lizzy, Sweet Savage and Rose Tattoo on the same bill...The first song I heard from the Tatts was The Butcher and Fast Eddie which they played on the day...Awesome

I always thought the fact that Angry Anderson was so short made him even cooler. Being so short but still being such a badass with such presence. Proves you dont need to be big to be tough and cool

Definitely!! I had their first vinyl back in the communist Hungary!!! Unfortunately, accept for a few overseas gigs, they never went international, like AC/DC... Their, and the world's loss... Saw them live in Melbourne some years ago, playing alongside The Angels. Great show!!!
Too rough edged for America, unfortunately. Ahead of their time. That, and during 82 there was a ton of competition for rock radio air slots. Still, it pissed me off that radio wouldn't touch them. The Screaming Jets also got passed over Stateside. Radio barely touched them. The Gorilla album should have been a natural for US rock radio. Oh well.
