Thank you for the tip about asking the buyer to cancel. I'm new to eBAY and had to cancel an order because I could not find the item in my house (think that I may have donated it to a charity store). Anyway, I suspected that action was hurting the visibility of my site. Now I know what to do instead.
It's taken me almost two years now to correct, I had never thought it was a big deal but it is. Today actually I'll be top rated again and would hope to aspect heavier traffic now. Good luck to you on your reselling venture!

It definitely can be, by no means do I accept every offer that comes my way but undoubtedly it has had a significant increase in sales. I'm making more money at the end of the day, the more successful sales you complete, in turn Ebay gives you more eyes on the rest of your items, sell through rate increases. To each his own.
@@thebookpeddler I've found sellers to be as addicted to engagement as any other social platform user. eBay knows this and encourages it. I would be very curious if anyone could quantify whether BO listings are a net positive overall and what pricing strategies and time you would have to invest. @@wesleysullivan8047absolutely and I hit the decline probably 40% of the time. By listing daily and accepting best offers I have as of last week sold in total this year the entirety of last year and still have the upcoming 4th quarter to look forward to. That best offer button has moved old stock and has brought more attention to my store. It may not work like that for everyone but what's the harm in trying it out! Yeah? I really starting taking ebay more seriously this year and the effort and discipline has been paying off, there's a lot I don't like about the platform but at the end of the day the bills are getting paid.
Congrats! I will say though the two main things have been listing daily and have the best offer button on, that's mainly where the increase has come from. Good luck in the last quarter of selling!
Hey, Phil. I’m curious if you’ve seen an uptick in vintage/old UFO books given the fact that the topic is trending. If so, and if you have some commentary you can offer, it would make for an interesting video.
Social trends definitely have an impact on the market and always will. I've had success with early ufo material. I've noticed more dealers on the social sites pushing this kind of material more so and I believe they've been moving it pretty steadily. I've been seeing an uptick in bigfoot material as well.
The best success I've had has been 20-25% off sales everything from $20-500 or sometimes up to 1k, run it for a month and then do another variation. You can put it in the description or do banners couldn't hurt. I've done the buy one get one 15% off and other variations but little success with those. Trying a form of coupon now so we'll see.
Have eBay ever relisted an item that you already sold? This has happened 2x this year to me. To escape two defects, I asked the buyer if I can send another item in its place or cancel the item and to Tell me what he wants me to do.... One buyer responded to cancel. The second buyer never responded timely to my request. I canceled the order using address reason. I blocked the buyer because i don't want a buyer who I cannot reach, and fails to keep the line of communication open.
I believe this has happened to me before. I don't hesitate to block people, extreme low ball offers, non-responsive people I just block immediately, I'm not going to deal with people like that. Ebay definitely has its issues, but overall I like it far better than when I used to sell on Amazon.

Un-promoted sold in 3 days for asking price, other had a ton of views and watchers and 3 months later still sitting. Pulled the promoted and it sold a week later. Giving eBay more of your profit is not the answer. If eBay would actually invest in server/data centers that would cure everyone’s problems.
I don’t have best offer on the majority of my listings simply because I got bombarded with insanely lowball offers, and I’m not wasting my time dealing with $2 offers all day long, and I’m sure as hell not going to sell stuff for a loss like another UA-camr I’ve watched.
I just quickly decline the offer and don't think twice, some people I just block them so I don't have to deal with it. I've never taken anything for a loss... everyone's experiences may be different, I don't know exactly what you sell or your average price point and I'm certainly no Ebay guru but for my book selling business the listing daily and accepting best offers have tremendously increased my business. I wish you the best of luck in this last quarter!
