This vid motivated me to solo flawless Prophecy today, hands were shaking when I unalived the Kell Echo from this mortal realm and I was hysterically laughing out of joy for like 10 minutes
same, except i didn't flawless it. i was literally shaking and sweating so bad by the end of it that i had to strip down to my underwear just to stop sweating so much
Some advice. Survivability over damage. Obviously have some damage but if a boss takes 7 damage phases for you to not die with it takes 7 damage phases
with the right loadout and strats its just above average tbh. but it takes a few tries or even days before you find the right loadout for you. low man raids and solo grandmaster nightfalls are the hardest things in the game xD
@@byMystiic Nah, raids are pretty easy at power (not solo GMS), but this dungeon forces you to be a certain power (i forget), so you're at the mercy of knights not teleporting, things not bugging out, and the game not screwing you. That's especially more difficult when you're playing with a blueberries account
It's not the reward that just matters, it's the dedication to something for someone you care for despite everything stacking against you in that dungeon. This is something truly indeed to be respected

Highly recommend separating the melee binding. Makes the throwing hammer alot better since you know when its actually gonna be thrown and it's not just gonna do a regular melee. Personally I have my charged melee on right bumper/R1 and uncharged on right stick. I remember the first time I soloed it. It was kinda hell with a good loadout. Solo duality I think was worse though.
@@awildjackraby I have 4 paddles so I bound it to 2 of them. Though have heard some people putting finisher on upper dpad. You can change another side of your dpad to long/double/single press for 2 different emotes on the same button.
@@Menace-To-Humanity I did the duality solo flawless on my 6th run. Got it in 2 tries on my hunter. 5 phased both bosses. I was learning the solo strats as I went. If is almost not possible to die with classy restoration procced it doesn't matter how long it takes to complete.
@@roundraccoon6141 I do charged melee upper D-Pad - I play on PC so just have emotes be a Keyboard-only thing. That and I never used them. Might try finisher on the D-Pad as well. It's currently the same as my crouch button (Right stick) so unbinding would be nice.
I believe the reason you survived that last bit is because the way healing grenades work is if you throw it around it becomes an orb that sits idly until someone comes close enough for it to heal them, thus when you went for your hammer you got healing and got restoration saving you from death.
Just completed solo flawless prophecy yesterday and definately know how it feels to finally complete it. Congrats 👏 and respect the dedication. Keep up the good work guardian 👍

Remembered going 'darn, he didn't do it' and then that video just faded out of my mind like so many others. Now I've just watched this now after binge wasting most of your content for the past year+, and just holy heck this just shot me back to 'OMG IT'S THIS GUY!!!!!' from so so long ago. That was just friggen wild to me and hecken cool you went back in and got it done XD. Really glad to see you and the gf among the crew have continued on since then too! Really great stuff! Excited to see what comes next all the more now for you and this channel and journey! (also not sure if you've seen any of the many comments I've been smattering across these as I go through them, but hope the ones related to improvements/ 'how to play the game' don't feel to preachy, I tend to get rather 'ribby' when I see something isn't working cause I want to see stuff work! So I tend to suggest things along the lines of 'bolster survivability/use survivability aspects/fragments and DR mods on chest and x y z yadda yadda cause it makes you survive more' cause I wanna see people do well with what they want to use, and that's just the easiest way I know of to find more success while not exactly doing the most damage/spamming the most abilities. But I've obviously got it through my skull by this point that 'they just wanna do the doo regardless of victory or defeat' so I've been trying to curb my knee jerk reactions, especially to these older videos xD.) Advice: literally never get greedy. If it takes you an hour to kill the boss, if you really want the solo flawless, accept that it will take a while and play smart. I’ve died many times from greed and I’ve learned.

I was frustrated ass hell. For those who feel like they can’t beat it just keep doing it. You’ll eventually learn a pattern and it will become muscle memory. PS you just earned a subscriber. Honestly the lil montage with you dying to the knights is exactly why I have zero confidence in myself when it comes to soloing prophecy. Then again I'm a stadia peasant so everything is ten times harder because I play D2 on a cellphone. (I'm looking at you 12 hour solo shattered throne run). Regardless good job. Also context for the 12 hour shattered throne run. I literally did the entire dungeon with no prior planning. Literally was just chilling with some clanmates and friends in our clan discord while I was doing it. It was annoyingly stupid, especially at the encounter right before the final boss. I'm really proud that I got the chance to solo it completely.

While watching both parts, reminds me my time attempting to do Prophecy solo, it was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to how I did it. I ultimately subbed for how hilarious the cod zombie sounds were with the horde of taken thralls, surprises me how many times destiny UA-camrs have referenced cod zombies in some way.

Soloing these dungeons is one of my favorite things to do in D2. I had worked on my solo flawless prophecy off and on for a few months, and then arc 3.0 came out. I recommend the arc 3.0 assassins cowl hunter build. I was able to do Prophecy and Pit of Heresey solo flawless fairly easily on it. I bet your girlfriend would like that solo flawless prophecy emblem!

If you want so advice for the funny titan hammer, one way to really reduce the number of lost hammers is to take advantage of the ability to set a specify keybind for charged melee. I usually set mine to whatever my regular melee is. This lets you use throwing hammer when you are right next to an enemy, which will bounce it off of them or the ground and return it immediately.
OMG I hope ur girlfriend likes the shell and u did extremely well during that. I was rooting all the way through. And that dungion took days just to get through.

Enjoyed, subbed, took me 7 hrs btw doing solo, so you doing it in 6 is still good. I'd recommend keeping check with xur and stuff when good things arrive so yeah would help alot lol
I know I late or forgot something but that Grenada lunch that shots blight carried my ass so hard at soloing this dungeon , I think it kill the knights in one shot or leave them weak and all that with the ability to shoot and hide anymore you feel safe , that gun is really good
soloing prophecy has been my crowning achievement as well. I had better gear but used Riskrunner with Devour (on a Warlock in Season 15, so before Void 3.0). Idk how long it took me, but the final boss winning run took 45 min alone, not to mention the other couple hours I had spent on it before too, whether that be 2 or more idk, i don't remember. Season 15 had particle deconstrution artifact mod, but my gear wasn't even masterworked yet, let alone even at lvl 7, so i never used it, but I do remember I used the Tarantula LFR. To this day, I still have that Hareball Shell equipped and the default shader on. Shows the best thing I've been able to do in all Destiny.
reminds me of doing solo flawless Shat Her Throne. except I wasn't doing it for any other reason than the unbridled rage I felt towards having tasked myself with beating it solo flawless
I would like to mention that Eris Morn was in fact a hunter who used blade dancer (d1 arc class, basically spectral blades) but I believe she lost her connection to the light when she tried to take on Crota and failed.
Fun fact eris will talk about the fact that shes a hunter idle wise on the moon. She repeats what cayde says in the taken king when you get nightstalker

i cant even get past galaran simply because of my damage and i keep forgetting not to kill the psion so he spawns in when killing the shades.

Honestly the lil montage with you dying to the knights is exactly why I have zero confidence in myself when it comes to soloing prophecy.
Then again I'm a stadia peasant so everything is ten times harder because I play D2 on a cellphone. (I'm looking at you 12 hour solo shattered throne run). Regardless good job.
Also context for the 12 hour shattered throne run. I literally did the entire dungeon with no prior planning. Literally was just chilling with some clanmates and friends in our clan discord while I was doing it. It was annoyingly stupid, especially at the encounter right before the final boss. I'm really proud that I got the chance to solo it completely.

While watching both parts, reminds me my time attempting to do Prophecy solo, it was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to how I did it. I ultimately subbed for how hilarious the cod zombie sounds were with the horde of taken thralls, surprises me how many times destiny UA-camrs have referenced cod zombies in some way.

Soloing these dungeons is one of my favorite things to do in D2. I had worked on my solo flawless prophecy off and on for a few months, and then arc 3.0 came out. I recommend the arc 3.0 assassins cowl hunter build. I was able to do Prophecy and Pit of Heresey solo flawless fairly easily on it.

If you want so advice for the funny titan hammer, one way to really reduce the number of lost hammers is to take advantage of the ability to set a specify keybind for charged melee. I usually set mine to whatever my regular melee is. This lets you use throwing hammer when you are right next to an enemy, which will bounce it off of them or the ground and return it immediately.
OMG I hope ur girlfriend likes the shell and u did extremely well during that. I was rooting all the way through. And that dungion took days just to get through.

I know I late or forgot something but that Grenada lunch that shots blight carried my ass so hard at soloing this dungeon , I think it kill the knights in one shot or leave them weak and all that with the ability to shoot and hide anymore you feel safe , that gun is really good
I still have this ghost shell on 2 years later. I just love the look and what I went thru to get it. Prophecy is my favorite dungeon to this day
I decided to try prophecy solo yesterday, and 1hour 54 minutes later I achieved my goal, success guardian...success.
soloing prophecy has been my crowning achievement as well. I had better gear but used Riskrunner with Devour (on a Warlock in Season 15, so before Void 3.0). Idk how long it took me, but the final boss winning run took 45 min alone, not to mention the other couple hours I had spent on it before too, whether that be 2 or more idk, i don't remember.
Season 15 had particle deconstrution artifact mod, but my gear wasn't even masterworked yet, let alone even at lvl 7, so i never used it, but I do remember I used the Tarantula LFR.
To this day, I still have that Hareball Shell equipped and the default shader on. Shows the best thing I've been able to do in all Destiny.

I would like to mention that Eris Morn was in fact a hunter who used blade dancer (d1 arc class, basically spectral blades) but I believe she lost her connection to the light when she tried to take on Crota and failed.
Fun fact eris will talk about the fact that shes a hunter idle wise on the moon. She repeats what cayde says in the taken king when you get nightstalker
